I'm on the road driving so I missed this video live. 😢 But, safety is first. But Dan, when I just watched this, I am blown away at this rare, expensive, collection! Each agate tells its own unique story and colors! Just left me breathless to say the least! 😮😳
When you showcased the agates which are classified as pseudomorph, those were the ones that I loved the most. The 'Star Wars' faced one looked like a real tongue coated by pink crystals! How unusual is that? It's a masterpiece! And, I agree that I've never seen banding that was completely distinguishable from the next band. Absolutely stunning.... Each and every piece!
The agate you were gifted is an incredible addition to your collection. I actually saw what the "scene" my eyes tood my brain. Think about your OPS scenes and look at the agate again. It looks like a tree on a high hill, with the purplish-blue background being the sunset colors of the sky. See it?

Hey Dan. I've been watching your videos for about a year now and I just want to say thanks. I didn't know anything about prospecting but now a little bit wiser. I watch another channel on refining gold and I can see why it's so important to know your rocks and formations.
From the mountains to the store's it's alot of work finding gold and refining it. But knowledge makes it a little easier. Lol lol . Still learning.

I have been watching your channel for years and I enjoy that you don’t let the hunt for gold define you, tho I am happy when you find it. I love all the gemstones. For the last 3 years I haven’t even left my very long driveway and have found buckets and buckets of agates, fossils, pet wood, and pet coral. Im pretty sure the drive came from gravel pits here in south MS’sippi. I wish I knew where. The driveway was already here when we bought the property. The closest that I have found to a colored agate was a red, white, and blue agate. And several with red or blue. Black and white ones too. I do live about 3 miles from the Pearl River Swamp. The rock bars are amazing. I have also found 2 petrified seeds. Looks like peach or plum.

Having spent most of my summers growing up on the shores of the Great Lakes, I have an affinity for agates. These are brilliant, Dan, much nicer specimens than I have ever seen on a beach.

Dan, looking at those agates is almost like cloud watching with the imagined comparisons to life within the shapes. For instance, one looked like an impregnated egg cell. Another looked like a germ culture, etc.

Nice!! I always like to check the bargain bins at the rock and gem shows, never no what you might find. Last year I pulled out a small piece of Mexican agate, only cost me a couple bucks. Got two real fine cabs out of it. Crazy colourful banding.
