Someone could write a PhD thesis on Mesa/Boogie’s scores of user-interfaced tone-shaping circuits and their permutable effects.
The simplest, most powerful and iconic of these innovative tools is undoubtedly Mesa’s five-band graphic equalizer. Developed by Randall Smith in the early Seventies, the circuit features a quintet of frequency sliders that lets players morph a Mesa amp’s response far beyond what can be achieved with the tone knobs alone.
It’s most often utilized to achieve the supercharged mid-scooped tonal curves that have forged the distinctive sound of hard rock and metal guitar. - Розваги
i don't understand guys who demo pedals always say, "heres my clean sound". then just play a broken up/distorted sound.
oh man Ive wanted the Flux & the Throttlebox 4 awhile
I've been reading guitar world since I started playing. it's been a staple in my practice room
Thanks, Mr. Kody
Hi level and low level on the throttle box is about volume of the channels
One thing I've always liked about Paul's playing in review videos is his ability to create melodies whilst he demoes the products.
Usually, people reviewing products run through generic scales or play simple open chords over and over, resulting in boring videos that don't really tell you much.
Paul really makes his videos interesting by showing us a more natural and less regimented or generic demo of products!
What amp is he using?
Nice
The demo of the same pedals but without the EQ sounds much better.
What model Charvel is he using?
The Jake E. Lee one I believe
the throttle box seems like it'd be hard to play
God, I hope these pedals sound better with someone else playing, all these tones sound dizzy and muffled to me.
Damn, seven years later, and they're still slamming on Paul's reviews, hair, tone...It's like when one generation gives up another fills in like Miss Universe... Oh, heard a bit of Sykes!
By the way, Paul's getting paid for his contributions. Y'all aint. #StayMad
Remember when Paul went back in time in a magic car and kissed his own mother...
jajaja
jajaja
No I do not when was this?
HE REACHES FOR A WHAMMY BAR THAT ISNT THERE A COUPLE TIMES
За деньги что стоят эти три педали можно купить нормальный инструмент или ламповый комбик...
Who in God's name does this guy's hair?
this is a typical sloppy video from Guitar World. I mean Paul is a great player, but all these seem hella rush. especially this one.
Paul i think you could take a 5dollar guitar an amp an make them sound fantastic
Paul you should defiantly shave your beard ;D
So much nasty fizz )-: I bet these can sound amazing but here they just sound like a fuzz pedal gone wrong
Basic sound is ugly !
Sorry :/
To much "leafhopper".....!!!
tzzzzzzzzzz
please dont solo
Can you do better? Show us please
By far the worst possible reviewer on GW. Plays blues on Tosin's 8 string, doesn't use hum buckers on a metal-based pedal (Rectifier and Mark IV) and just plays random genres without any focus on good playing imo
