Beautiful boat, and great layout, both in the interior and exterior. Just think a forward crew cabin on a sailboat of this size is such a loss of good storage space.
Agreed, a sail locker would be much more preferable for a private boat - the four layouts only show a crew cabin, but I'm sure a sail locker could be requested instead!
Yep. It's also a loss of good crew. When they see that they'll be finding another passage with an owner who cares.
@@cosybike That's for sure.. 👌🏼
Everything was so cheap 3 years ago, it would be more than one million euros nowadays.
Toby, if you had an extra million laying around, what boat are you buying??
An extra million implies I have a million in the first place Edward?! And I seem to change my mind most days I'm afraid, sometimes several times a day... (In reality, my meagre budget confines my boat choice to something very compact and typically half a century old)! Toby
Nice episode thank you for your efforts 👌
Thank you!
Young audience ? With a million dollars?
The life raft and the grill are only accessible with the swim platform down? That is nuts and inconvenient, respectively.
Pretty sure the bit of deck above the liferaft cubby looks like it lifts up for access from above.
@@tomberens571 . OK... Your right.... Still, you lift the bench and then the deck? Still looks awkward. I agree with Nick from Ruby Rose.... On the transom or forward deck.
dufour very very bad quality
Vinal rap should have been in lambo green for a younger audience
But the grill option is amazing
However that 6’ head room would lead to a lot of headaches since i’m 6’2”
Thank you for the video
James Braselton you definitely understeer head pains in the boating community.
James Braselton Good, you’re fighting the tough battle for boat designers to start giving more head room. We are all looking up to you 🙄😅.
This might be a dumb question, but is the transom platform design to be dropped while underway? I'm thinking to real in that tuna?
@Wade Brown Just want to make sure it's a real tuna 🤦♂️
That's sweet. Definitely go for the 3 cabin plus crew just for the extra space.
I'd like to know about a racing version of this. Removable between helm station sunbed.regata racing version .
Switch to the centre point for racing forward for Cruising?
Yes exactly
Young energetic people don't buy $400,000 sailboats!..they buy 97 Honda civics and live at home!
How is Gunfleet doing? Do they have anything new? They make a really impressive monohull.
I like the look of those little ones that came into shot whilst you were on deck.
What is the listed price for the ocean version?
Wow just wow that's an amazing boat.
Hi Toby, good video and would like your opinion as to which boat you would chose between this and the Bavaria C57 which offers a similar layout and you have also reviewed.
I'll try and come back to you if and when I've sailed them both Mike - been a bit restricted in travel this year!
@@yachtingworld Thanks for the reply. We live in strange times. However, I would be interested in your initial thoughts as I am in boat buying mode and these two are on my shortlist. I have viewed the C57 but not the 530. I don't plan to sail oceans just cruise around the med with the wife with visits from the kids and friends from time to time. From online reviews it's hard to tell which will be most suitable, both seem to get good reviews (which is sort of true for most reviews of modern production yachts). The big positive for the C57 for me is the dinghy garage which save a whole host of hassle when med mooring. You review a lot of boats and your gut feel would be most appreciated. Thanks Mike.
jesus that crew cabin is miserable
Didnt look that bad to me. Ive seen far worse. Its just for a place to sleep, doesn't need to be all that fancy. And it has your own head which is nice.
Single cockpit table? Ouch!
please make a video of the dufour 390
Bella come tutte le carene U.Felci. i due bagni sono più che sufficienti
A me (opinione) piace la copertura totale del pozzetto e intravedo la possibilità di montare due paterazzo.voto 10
Want something this big and expensive get a catamaran
I prefer a monohull than a catamaran.
Great boat love the blue Hull
What a boat
nice
Very very nice
🤔🙄🤢
Martyn Grennan use your words like a big boy OK
@@jjames2162 stopcbeing a salty piss head because of whomes opinions okay, was that too difficult to understand as well
Martyn Grennan I have no idea what you are on about. But hey, best wishes to you and yours. Enjoy the weekend
Ni, I dont like the interior and layout at all. Especially not the plit gallery.
Nice quick tour Toby! But sometimes you had to be more critical and realistic in your assesment!
You talk about quality of the finishes, while whole boat squiks under your feet! The cabinets are just plywood bolted on the hull, and I would place a bet that you could cut your hand if you pass with it on many hatch corners...
I know its not a Swan nor it aspire to be one,but c'mon it still cost half a mil €?! Tell us does it offer something more, something extra for that ammount than be it (typical) med charter boat?
For less money I'd take the new Moody 41DS.
Not really comparable...totally different boat and a different target market
ok..
I don't like these new models I prefer original boats and designs of them it's nice but ide rather spend 12000 on a used boat
Do these new boats have in built air conditioning systems for cooling the living and sleeping areas? Would anyone know?
Penelope Springham yes you can order aircon but need to order generator as well to run it unless in marina with shore power
Another floating caravan?
It seems the water pressure of the coffee machine is a bit low isn’t?
I like the automatic sunscreen sprayer through „sprinkler“ although nocive for the corals!
Stupid and unnecessary comment! If you, as a real seaman, need a real boat, then buy yourself a steel bucket!
@@Lilou34650 Oh. thank you great Anton for sharing your wisdom and judgement as to what is appropriate, klug, not klug to post 😀😀 ... Das schoenste bei solchen Plateforms ist, das jeder Pupel sich als Autorität fühlen kann!
@@philippechevereau9818 Ja, das sieht man ja an dir!
How is the build quality?
terrible
NO KEEL?
Yes, three different keel draught choices - 1.95m, 2.3m, 2.8m - as shown on specs at end. Many yards choose not to fit the keels for indoor boat shows so that the public can view the hull more easily rather than just looking underneath it.
@@yachtingworld OK GOT IT
Monohulls: for people who can’t afford catamarans!
Catamarans are UGLY as f*ck.
I cant believe im saying this but 540k is a good price for a brand new 2020
brand new and 53 ft!!!
