I am 68 and have short layered wavy/curly hair. It is fairly thick and sometimes use hair thinning scissors on it. I can totally relate to everything you said, especially the "mind of it's own" har😃. I have been looking for a hair stylist who actually knows how to cut, dry, style curly hair. My last one didn't even have a difuser. I often come home after an appointment and end doing some cut adjustments. I do some of the things you do but I do not use as many styling products so I will definitely add some.
I'm 68 and relearning makeup so I appreciate your explanations and demonstration of what you do. You look fabulous and I am ready to have post-Covid makeup again that is age appropriate.
I love the hair pin idea for lift! Def gonna try it on my baby fine hair.
Just recently found your videos. I especially appreciate the eye shadow demonstration. I'm 65 and have tried so many techniques to get the look I want. I have the same eyelids and have struggled to show the color on them with my eyes open. Gonna try this! Thanks!

In one of your other videos you shared the Cerave products, and the mascara which I bought and have been using. ❤️I’ll look for the blush next. I bought a blush stick but it’s always nice to have a powder, too. You look great with out without makeup. Thanks for sharing.
My Mom's dermatologist recommended Cerave moisturizer. Mom is 87. I also use it. I am 69. I like the Cerave because it is good for my dry skin and is not greasy.

I just came across your videos. I love the colors you chose for your eyeshadows. I don't like using eye liner either and use a smudge brush as well. I love the way you added lift by using the clips. I'm definitely going to try this tip. I will be watching more of your videos.
L'ange products are the best I've found..and trying to wash once a week. It's harder but worth it. Looking great Serena!

Your hair looks great!! You kill me with some of your comments that sound so like me. I guess it's a Southern thing. I love you are doing curly. I did curly about 2 years ago and after awhile went back to straight. I do love curl but mine is like yours.....never the same two days in a row. I ordered a CHI spin & curl when Bed , Bath & Beyond had President's Day sale so could do it with curl once & awhile for hubby. Your makeup is flawless and you look gorgeous- you do such a great job on that also!! I am to the tinted moisturizer stage or runny makeup that is thin. You are lucky to have a rounder face as you will stay younger looking forever!

Hi Serena. I just discovered your channel and I think you have a lot of great tips! You look great and have every right to offer advice on fashion over 50! However, I would suggest to older women that mid to darker shades of lipstick are aging. It's my opinion that a light shade with just a bit of gloss is best. My adult (and very fashionable) nieces never wear dark shades!

hi new to your channel…my takeaway clips for lift in the the hairline….amazing! cool air after mostly dry with diffuser….I am 61 and I have naturally curly hair that would dry into tight curls from top to bottom….I love that my hair is curly…truthfully I keep it long because I am always hot and I wear it up in a top knot….but seeing you do your hair really helped me to see what I can do to change texture to more of a beach wave! Great tips! I share your issue with eyes open…can’t see eye shadow….seeing where you put the darker color I think will be very helpful! Btw I watched some of your videos prior to this one and I too have had plantar fasciitis and I find any shoe without a back like a clog or flip flop will causes it to come or come back…because those types of shoes cause your toes to grip to keep shoe on….and you don’t realize it….that’s what my foot doctor said….really enjoying your videos..thank you for sharing 😊kim

I use the same shampoo and conditioner. I also use a curl cream. I used to have your wavy hair. Since I have gotten older, my hair has become very curly. I wash my hair once every 3 or 4 days

I truly enjoyed watching your makeup routine! Sometimes after watching some of my favorite influencers, I feel like I should add "forty" more steps and products. You used quality and drugstore products and didn't add so many layers of the same products to your makeup. You looked great! I appreciated the hooded eye technique, as I share that wonderful distinction with you! I've used Estée Lauder Double Wear and others, but I think I need to try Lancôme foundation after seeing you and others getting such beautiful coverage. Thanks for another great video and sharing your beautiful self with us.
Thanks so much Kimberly! Glad you enjoyed it! I would say the Lancôme Teint Idole is pretty comparable to the EL Double Wear. I find the Lancôme is a bit easier to work with.

Thanks for sharing this with us. I think I am going to try the mascara you are wearing. I have wavy almost curly hair. When I am going to wear it curly I don't use a towel. Use an old T shirt it to wrap your hair in. This helps keep your hair from getting frizzy.
