Hey Bacon great video but you can find dianonds and gel sack near the gun island, the dianonds in the caves and gel sack a bit under water.❤❤ Just a quick tip😅
Fun fact 1: It's actually harder to hold your breath underwater, because the water pushes towards your chest. Fun fact 2: You can find gel sacks in the big trees in mushroom forests, so hope this helps on your future chellenges!
@@TheLastBacondiamonds on the gun island, look for the clouds to find it, in its islands lays diamonds lithium and gold, take flares to find them all easily.
Realistically, you would only have to hold your breath in the last 45 seconds that actually represent Ryley's lung capacity, but I like the challenge idea.
"the gel sacks are like diamonds, in the way that they don't spawn in anywhere shallow *at least as far as i know* ." Mountain Island: Am i a joke for you?
You can find gel sacks in the sparse reef at like 100m down and/or near life pod 19, where you can also find shale, lithium, rubies, moonpool and thermal plant fragments, as well as the vehicle upgrade console. Just a tip!
Lifepod 19 is always a first stop after I get a Seamoth - At least 2 gelsacks to start a farm at base, at least 10 rubies, as much diamond and lithium as I can find. Then I head to the island, get Multipurpose room, bulkhead, lantern fruits, growbed, tablet, and head back home to start growing stuff.
Really liked the video! at first thought it was crazy but then a minute and 30 seconds is double the size of the normal oxygen tank in game so just doing without upgrading oxygen tanks is sorta similar but ya know holding you breath in real life

Hey did you know that at the island where the big shoot bang bang gun is, there's a ton of diamonds if you just fallow the path. There's diamonds, gold, and lithium on the paths. Also the gel sacks can be found in the grand reef next to the floating island and next to life pod 19.
fun fact, when your face comes in contact with water your brain turns off certain parts allowing it to be more oxygen efficient. That's why people can hold their breath better underwater
cool epic beans tip!: you can go to the mushroom forest near the aurora, and the wall between the crash zone and mushroom forest, there should be a lot of shale on the wall (for newer players, shale gives you either: gold, lead, and you guessed it! diamonds! yippee)
You can find gelsack easily in the crash site at about 30 meters deep and for the diamond, you can find them at barely surface in the cave on the island with the gun! ;) But I guess it will make a non-entertaining video. Nice challenge and great work as usual!
you can find gel sacks and rubies in the Sparse Reef by the lifepod, I think it might be a bit shallower than the Blood Kelp zone, its also where I always get my first gel sacks so I can farm some more Edit, just realized the area you stumbled across was the Sparse Reef and that's where you found the gel sacks, I feel so dumb now XD
Thanks for this, Bacon! haha But imagine if you unfortunately "drowned" in that chair playing subnautica! You really took a risk for this content ; P That would have been embarrassing!
Late to the party but to be fair, you start with only 45 seconds of air in game and it takes the air tank to get up to 80 seconds of air, so you're apparently a lot better than they are.. especially if you consider when deep diving without a rebreather 80 seconds is more like 60 or less (depending on how deep you dive) I added a mod to mine the mega tank that gives 15 minutes of air, which makes it much more realistic to real air tanks at those depths.
Just a quick note, there is a much more shallow place you can get diamonds. At the mushroom forest closest to the aurora, there is a cliff out of rock which outcrops can spawn on with around a 1/3 chance of getting diamonds.
Crashfish: ah yes! A nice happy person! Plant: ah yea! Ima let you out so you can make them happier! Crashfish: ....... Plant: make them happier... please Crashfish: I go boom Plant: NAUR-
This is a pretty good lung exercise tbh, and as long as you breathe when you really need to before you pass out it's not overly dangerous! I know you didn't want to for the sake of content, mad respect for that btw.
5:19 I know you like we did this for the challenge.. but in the mountain Islands caves that has millions of Shale outcrops you could have easily used to get diamonds
Man with this much effort going into this video I felt like I had to comment Love your stuff man I started binging you a couple days ago and i'm still going lol love how much dedication you have, I tried to hold my breath and barely made it to 40 seconds and seeing you look physically tired and a little sick from holding your breath actually made me a little sad Love all your stuff and try not to torture yourself anymore!!
The video was great I'll definitely try to play subnautica like that as well some time. Also diamonds are really easy to obtain on the mountain island. The caves there are filled with the right stone fragments and you don't even have to dive. just noticed somone commented that already sorry
you are actually correct about the first 2 limestone outcrops always being copper and titanium, in fact all pairs of limestone for the entire game are always 1 copper 1 titanium guaranteed due to the way they programmed the probabilities
An easy way to get diamonds is to go to the back of the island where sun beam was shot down, and go into the cave system which is above ground, has a portal and a poop load of shale chunks!
Bacon, if you need a diamond just go to the gun Island instead of making your lungs suffer and a gel Sack is available in the mushroom forest at 200m deep😂
I also have a challenge idea that I did, and it IS possible. Beating Subnautica, without holding your breath, meaning I cannot go below 45 units of oxygen. This is possible due to the Crash Zone Spit (Aurora sand mounds) can spawn metal salvage. I was able to collect a medkit from the medical kit fabricator, eat a nutrient block to regain some health, and carefully time my time in the radiation blanket to make it out slimly alive. With the 4 titanium from the metal salvage, I could turn 3 into a standard oxygen tank, and the challenge was pretty much normal once I made a vehicle. However, in those moments where I didn't, I would only have 30 seconds with a standard tank and 90 with a high capacity one. I will also try your challenge even though it is a bit unrealistic with the oxygen tanks work, but as you prefaced at the beginning, we are pretending they simply expand your lung capacity.
I challenge you to either play Subnautica with every single mod you can find installed, or make a mod for subnautica in a video. If none of those sound challenging enough, I have seen videos about a mod that makes the game a lot harder by implementing the bends and other real-life problems of diving. Good luck and keep up with the awesome videos!
I’m pretty sure you can find gel sacks at the mountains just outside the giant gun, like barely submerged in water. You could stand on the beach and pick them up.

I'd have waited until the aurora exploded, got close with the radiation suit and along the left side of the aurora there is a cliff down to the mushroom forest you find diamonds and lithium. With a bit of luck you can find gel sacks around parts of the gun-platform island. Not sure if that is still the case though. Cool challenge though.
Fun fact, there’s a small chance you could find gel sacks at the island with the gun there’s a small chance, but if you head up to the shore just under the shore there might be a gel sack that spawns, and if you try to go check below like in the cave with the unbroken artifact there’s a chance, a gel sack also might spawn there
To be fair, only the last 45 of your 02 is your breath all the other is oxygen tanks. Also, if you ever do this challenge again, i think the airblader will help and the replenish O2 feature should allow you to take a breath
Unique idea for a challenge, but please be careful. It goes without saying, but this could potentially be dangerous. Love your content and stay safe, Bacon.
you can find plenty of rare ores like lithium, diamonds, and ruby, and you can also find gel sacks all next to keens lifepod inside the surrounding caves. the only dangerous thing there is sandsharks.
I have an idea for a challenge for you, though I think you will probably need some major help implementing it... 'Can I beat SUBNAUTICA when my heartrate determines my oxygen retention (higher heartrate=faster consumption oxygen | lower heartrate=normal/less oxygen consumption)'
Holding your breath while diving is actually really dangerous, because when you go up the pressure decreases the air in your lungs expandes and your lungs can blow up.

10:22 this is literally how real life cave divers die, by usually getting disoriented. Ive read so many stories where the diver either died or survived and gave a first hand account thay when you said "there was a cieling" my blood pressure spiked istg
unbeknownst to most viewers, he was also playing where he would be exposed to lethal levels of radiation IRL when his character was in the game. luckily he put on the lead suit before going in the Aurora.
Respect this man bro he wakes up at 4 AM every day just to reply to his most recent commenters (also I know this has nothing to do with the video im just saying)
You should use the air bladder. It’s such an underrated equipment and it makes diving in the early game so much easier. It’s also just a really useful emergency tool if you’re caught in the water with something dangerous
easiest place to get diamonds, gold, silver etc is actually on the gun platform island, sooo much stuff there and it's almost entirely safe to get there if you take the right route
Hey guys :) Just in case this needs to be said - I of course don't encourage anyone try this themselves and if you do decide to try it, please stay safe and don't risk getting hurt! ❤

Bacon just wanted to let you know your videos make me smile every time I see the notification from your new videos!!!
Yay thank you! So happy I can make you smile! :)
hi
Great video! For next challenge you should try being submitted to radiation until the aurora is fixed :) !
Haha love your thinking :)
10:22 this is literally how real life cave divers die, by usually getting disoriented.
Ive read so many stories where the diver either died or survived and gave a first hand account thay when you said "there was a cieling" my blood pressure spiked istg
Yeah I can't imagine how that must feel irl :O
unbeknownst to most viewers, he was also playing where he would be exposed to lethal levels of radiation IRL when his character was in the game. luckily he put on the lead suit before going in the Aurora.
Haha yep was in Chernobyl the whole time :D
Respect this man bro he wakes up at 4 AM every day just to reply to his most recent commenters (also I know this has nothing to do with the video im just saying)
Thank you :) You guys are worth it!
You should use the air bladder. It’s such an underrated equipment and it makes diving in the early game so much easier. It’s also just a really useful emergency tool if you’re caught in the water with something dangerous
Yep absolutely would’ve been smart :)
easiest place to get diamonds, gold, silver etc is actually on the gun platform island, sooo much stuff there and it's almost entirely safe to get there if you take the right route
I should’ve totally gone there :)
