Thanks for another professional quality video. I let my five year old granddaughter watch and your videos are always family friendly. The first hunt she went on was last summer when she found a girls bracelet under the slide at the local park. She also will spend hours looking through my quart jar of coins for the "special" coins...........She is definitely hooked.......
Hey there. the screened in porch on this explore is what is called a Summer Porch...this is were the cooking would done so as not to heat the house up and it was also were the people would sleep on hot Summer nights as it was cooler the interior of the.
I am a fanatic about keeping my finds in pristine condition. I never rub my coins. I carry a jar of lite soapy water and a soft brush. I soak my finds in the water for about 30 min's then lightly brush the crud.mud off of them and I leave no unwanted scratches in them. I make it a point as to not rush to see the date that can wait until they are cleaned I have found bottle fulls of coins over the past 30 years of coin hunting. also found some gold necklaces and some nice rings
I use to go to the local county court house to look up property owners ( yes it's public information). Once I located the oldest property deeds, I would go to the oldest locations and ask for permission to metal detect. Another way to get info is to ask the eldest people in your town where the first houses or churches where located. You might want to make a vid of you going to your local court house to look up info or do an interview with the elders in your town.
the water in the basement they use to build over Springs and let it run through the basement they used to keep eggs Jared goods cold the first refrigerator. we have lots of old ranches built over watersheds in Washington State.
J.D., what do you say to the homeowner, to get permission to detect their property? Do you offer to give them anything you find? Has anyone been ugly to you? Thanks.
Floydd good catch. It looks like a rat but as it appears twice I’m guessing it’s a piece of dirty plastic that’s moved by the draft. But it can be a very careless rat too.
Just wondering (new subscriber here!) what state to you hunt in? Do you travel to other states? I just moved from Florida to Arkansas and looking to start up metal detecting, and I'm just curious about where you find these cool things. I wonder if Arkansas holds anything interesting. Maybe I'll search the history of it...
I live at the beach in Panama City, Florida. What would you recommend as far as detectors that can go say 6-8 inches into salt water. I have found many necklaces, rings (especially after tourists go in from the beach for the day), and even a money clip that had 322 bucks in it. I have seen some people ankle deep with their detectors and pulling some coins and other objects from the shoreline. Any suggestions???
great finds John. Hey was you in ohio on the 6th of this month, i thought you was behind me and then passed me on the right, looked like your car and you. i went down there for the cwppo hunt for morgan raiders.
Hello JD! I found 2 SLQS and a mercury dime spill today along a old sidewalk strip. Super stoked! Finding silver never gets old, huh? How many silver coins do you find in a year? Thanks for the great channel!
Screens were needed cause of flys and flying bugs. Dang why did they throw money down. Or droppped it. Never understand it. Dang that water could be pumpted out and use to water trees.
Nikki and Rick are in many of my videos from 2015. They moved back to Colorado, so you won't see them in future videos unless we meet up at some point. :)
Hey folks do yourself a favor and watch the following brief videos on UA-cam: "Murder on the Tracks" (About Kevin and Don) And "The Clinton Chronicles"
It's a real Twilight Zone. This is an extreme case of narrow minded selfishness caught up in a religious straight jacket topped off by a complete lack of knowledge of the real world. Home bred evil.

It's good that you ask first.

You should check out Cumberland Maryland there's tons of houses like this
So the last iron item you showed, was a plow point to a harrow. So they would plow the field and then harrow it to break up the bigger clods of dirt.
Did anyone heard the "moan" at 7:02?? And then a "wow" at 7:11
PirataDBoriken yeah, a ghost! (Or the girl Nicky that was with him ;-))
He is referring to Niki in the video at 2:30 and 7:33 ish. I know at 1:40 there's some thing weird going on on the floor near a cabinet.
Floydd good catch. It looks like a rat but as it appears twice I’m guessing it’s a piece of dirty plastic that’s moved by the draft. But it can be a very careless rat too.

Nice looking old place. Too bad it's rotting.
The insert to the lid is milk glass, not porcelain. They also had clear glass as well.

notice you own a lot of detectors.what's your favorite?
Currently I'm enjoying the Teknetics T2 as my main machine, but I do like to use many others as well. But the T2 is my "grab and go" machine. :)
Are they going to fix the house?
Just wondering why you don't use a pin pointer instead of having to move your coil back over the hole or plug.
At the time this video was filmed my pin pointer was broken. :)
Nice

I hope they find the rightful heirs who the home and property belongs to. Anything they find needs to go to the trustees. Or in museums.
