Thanks John. The rod did well today. I’m happy that I went a little bit shorter than usual. Those close quarters rapid fire short casts come easier! It handled several 18.75 inch plus fish today, including a 5 lb 2 oz super tall fish. Only 19.5 inches, but built like a cinder block!

You every try the U-40 Cork Sealant? I put it on all my rods. Still leaves a natural matte hand-feel and I find it drastically improves the durability and longevity of the cork. That's mostly because it keeps the filler from coming out pretty much ever in my experience.

Well, while I reckon my efforts will be far less smooth- I like what I see so far and things seem to make sense. Appreciate the walkthrough.
The other two parts are edited, uploaded and scheduled. I get to use the finished rod for the first time tomorrow! 😁

I’ve used it on prior builds. I will wait to use the rod before I do anything. I might customize the cork - shape it to my hand.
