As much as I love the Telluride which I owned for 2 years, eventually I traded it in due to the poor 18 mpg average primarily with city driving. I’m now driving a Kia Sorento PHEV and getting ready to go cold Turkey by trying out a pure EV as my next car. This EV9 is definitely in my short list.
Kia just needs to make the Telluride an optional hybrid or a PHEV and it would sell like hotter cakes. The EV9 is nice but yeah it's expensive. Only the dual motor setup seems adequate as well for it's size.
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video actually all your presentations are very educational especially living here I'm waiting for the 2025 toyota BZ5X and the chevy equinox ev 3LT because the blazer ev is far too expensive here ciao
No idea why anyone (not rich) would take the EV9 over the Telluride when it starts almost above where a Telluride ends. Large 3 row SUV's are made for road trips among other things. No point having one range limited for that.
@angryGTS Those aren't long-term perks. Access to carpool lanes isn't something inherent to EVs, they are privileges government uses to promote EV sales. Once too many EVs start congesting special use lanes, which is already happening in many cities, they will be forced to take away those privileges. Also, keep mind the advertised range hardly is realistic. 230 miles is with a fully charged battery, but you're aren't realistically going to have a full battery on a regular basis. Generally, you are to keep your battery within 20%-80 range, which make your day-to-day range just 138 miles.
I'm picking the Telluride here. It's better styled, no range anxiety. That being said, I'd pick the pre-facelift Telluride over this one, the Amber DRLs added some charm to the Telluride styling, I just don't understand why Kia decided to ditch them for the refresh.
The Telluride is a classic, handsome design. Brawn, capable and affordable. A winner!
It hasn’t been affordable since the first month it got released.

I've booked one yesterday, let's see how long the waitlist is, ahah I'm in Ontario, Canada.
Both are so good it’s hard to choose

The wind trim is affordable. Only 63k 😂

Ive seen a few EV-9 on the road. Very very nice! It's still no Toyota but remains a good value as an alternative.
Telluride is best

The 2024 has the ambers back just in a different style
Telluride is the winner 🏆🏆🏆🏆
Electric: good for city
Gas powered: good for highway
In 5 years the range will be like 160 and you will hate it.
I would expect it to drop about 7% the first five and another 4-5% the next five. Is your statement based on data?
Are these easily stolen like their other cars?
No
Do your research before asking such a stupid question!
I got myself a Toyota rav4!
That doesn’t compete with either of these cars
Too small but good for you!
