Alas I found this too late and couldn't get involved with helping you guys... I look forward to buying the film soon!!! I just discovered how horrendous factory farms (really hell on earth for animals that humans have created that i was not even aware of) are and how smart and adorable pigs are - omg my life has really turned upside down the past few months just realizing how evil people are
I never thought about what was on my plate before. The videos are awful but I watched them & now "The Green Plate" is what I look up tp help me eat healthier.🌿
Hey Allison and Joe ~ In your "Word From..." I notice some shiney silvery or golden statuettes on the counter behind you... Swimming awards? or which films? I am head over heels for this film having seen it in Woodstock NY today and already knew I loved it, but hope we can fashion a very successful showing in the Albany area when the time is right. So many breathtaking shots... Thank you for the finesse and delicacy you were able to muster in the little slaughter place. Bless your strong hearts. May you be showered with accolades and awards ~ and grants galore!
We shall, absolutely. We are strengthening our core contacts, and want to have a strong showing in 2018 here in the Albany/Schenectady area. Lori Van B and others of us. Quite stunned by the sheer beauty of the film, the views from among the grasses, the last pig waiting to go die. Just so powerful. Joe was so good receiving question, and I said hello to him - surprised that when he asked, he knew my name. I am committed to this film and now to your sweet friend with the white blaze, Niblet! xox
Thanks so much matthewdecus! We're currently entering the film into festivals, and in a few months we'll start to approach broadcasters. Visit our website at www.thelastpig.com - and follow us on FB. If we can figure out a way for you to help us, we'll let you know. Or if you have any ideas, please get in touch through our website. Thanks again!!
argofilms Thank you. i have shared ur UA-cam link on Twitter too. some of my Twitter friends r already gonna watch it. i m a Vegan frm India. actually the emotions the slaughter the pigs' faces its all very depressing. i find it difficult to handle it. thats why refrain frm watching. i somehow managed to watch Okja. but where can i watch the whole film? Netflix i suppose? if u could share the link with me, i can share it to my group here. Thank you for ur efforts in putting up such a movie. god bless u.
Shweta P - Can you send us an email through our website? Then we can advise you on screening the film. Just go to www.thelastpig.com (www.thelastpig.com/contact/) and fill in the "Get in Touch" information. There is someone who will be organizing a screening in Pune and possibly Mumbai. Where are you located?
argofilms thats awesome i m located in Pune. actually i too want to be part of this organizing the screening in whatever little way i can. it would b great if u could get me in touch with the concerned people. i will fill up the info on ur page. additionally, i would love to do a voiceover (English, German) in any of ur other ventures/projects if there r any opportunities for me. please do let me know about it.
"The Last Pig" is an important and compelling film to evolve the consciousness of humanity. We must awaken to the soul connection we all share, no matter the villosity of the skin. This ‘separation’ perceived through the eyes of the ego is a loss of spiritual identity, which is the source of systemic harm in our society. Nonhumans are sentient beings whose lives matter to them, even if they do not matter to anyone else. Soul is within all life: It is nothing less than life itself. - Director, CRY OF THE INNOCENT: The Voices That Can't Speak www.cryoftheinnocent.com
Hi Hope! We're still raising funds (finishing funds), but the picture is nearly "locked" and we're almost at the finish line. If you or anyone you know would like to help, just visit our website: www.thelastpig.com and click on the "Support" pig! Thanks so much for your note and for caring! xx
Anyone who has been fortunate to spend some time around a pig will jump up and cheer at this upcoming film. Intelligent and gregarious, these emotive creatures have historically been the most abused animal on this planet. I've personally witnessed the horrors perpetrated upon them on a grand industrial scale (Circle 4 Farms, Milford, Utah). But I've also become aware of a kindness towards them that has taken root (Ironwood Pig Sanctuary). Hopefully this film will add to and aid in the abolitionist movement to halt the slaughter of these animals. Their time has come.
Pigs are amazing creatures The slaughter houses must find a less fearful way for them to die Pigs are very clean animals and make great pets They like to get dirty but when you see a clean bby piglet, and if they are an indoor pet..they clean and groom themselves like a puppy Thankyou for caring you 💐are awesome .
Crazy Funny Cats or just let them live because they don't want to die at all. Humans don't have to eat animals or their fluids to be healthy. That makes the death of animals even more cruel
I find the place and way is so very important to us at One Bad Day Farm, until that fateful day we treat them with total respect making sure they have large clean places to roam and the best and freshest food we can supply. Large slaughter houses are not respectful so we steer clear.
I'm not sure if people here understand how anti-vegan this film actually is. The film shows pigs having a perfectly good, almost idyllic, life on the farm. There are no predators to haunt their lives and plenty of space for them to be - well - pigs. The trip to the slaughterhouse is a one-off, the entire experience quick. This is how to farm humanely animals for food. If it catches on, it will diminish the case for vegan. As for the man narrating: his voice, his choice. I disagree with his choice, as explained above.
@@argofilms The problem is the last pig, as detailed very well in this article: www.thedodo.com/the-last-pig-459704635.html . The author, the former pig-farmer, proposed the solution of setting up the slaughterhouse so the last two are killed simultaneously. Vegan isn't the only way to stop animal cruelty.
Thank you for living vegan, cruelty-free.
save your soul, save your body, save our planet… GO VEGAN NOW!

Can't wait for this to come out. So wish I could help fund it! The sooner people stop seeing animals as food the better

I think this is a misunderstanding. The only pigs you shouldn't slaughter are the ones attacking malmö fans.
This is the year of the pigs😍 so go vegan!
