Great expansions. I just have them, they are awesome. I think the Hernfar expansion bring more good stuff, than the Scorn (Mages, Ironbounds and the new Lore deck is epic), but both are a must buy for all Battlelore owners.
The Discriminating Gamer i agree with your statement that the old lore deck favors the original units and the new faction favors the new units, so i just shuffle them both together. never had any issues playing this way.
lastvaquero I read a lot more historical fiction and science fiction than Fantasy. I did enjoy A Game of Thrones, and some of Harry Turtledove's fantasy novels.
Or suggest Cattlelore. An intiguing game of analysing the detailed history of cattle across the ages. The tag line would be 'Mooove over Memoir' Sorry, I know that is an udderly ridiculous idea. But after chewing it over, I couldnt help milking it...
Good review...thorough and informative. I already have these sets as well, so all I can say is..."The Discriminating Gamer is right!". So do you just like saying "Hernfar"?('cause I do too).
Javier Perez As a WWII historian, I really love Memoir- but i love the lore decks and cool minis that Battlelore brings. I guess the lesson here is- never ask the question, lest it open up a rift in the space/time continuum.
Javier Perez They are different enough that it isn't a either or choice. (I have Command and Colors, Battlecry, Memoir 44, Battles of Westeros and Battlelore 2nd edition. While they are all built around the same mechanic, they are unique enough to not compete with each other.
Glad to see Battlelore get some attention from FFG. I was beginning to think it was going to be pushed aside and forgotten.
***** I agree. Super happy they are supporting this great game.

Indeed!
Man... I wish I came across this game when it was still in print :(
Still looking for these...
Fun game.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer Got the base game :) But never got around to finding the expansions for a normal price...
am i the only one that just shuffled the old and new lore deck together and just play it that way?
+Roamy Bard I suppose you can do it, but I think the decks are optimized for the sets.

+Roamy Bard If it works for you, it works for you.
Battle Al Gore lmao. I'd buy it if it came with a miniature of Manbearpig.
Excellent.
nice intro music btw
+Fabian Riveros Danke!
Any favorite Fantasy Novels suggestion to go along with this game Cody? :D

Actually, I'm really enjoying the powder Mage trilogy by Brian McClellan, too.
The Discriminating Gamer Awesome, I haven't heard of that one, I'll have to check it out :D Thanks Cody!
Thought you were going to call back to the previous video and suggest "Battledata"
D'oh!

Ben Boersma Well done, my young apprentice...
I have Al-Gore-a-Phobia.
It's an affliction that affects many of us, sir.
The Discriminating Gamer Yes, but thanks to Florida it didn't become a terminal condition.

William Smith Thank you, sir.
BattleLore or Memoir?
Battlelore for me. We enjoy it alot more than Memoir.
