    As it’s the year end John here are my top 5 hated looks that most of the men in my local mall and metro are wearing this season.
    1) the sleeveless tank top with large scoop arm holes that expose half the torso
    2) cargo shorts or cargo pants with all those large extra not needed pockets on the leg
    3) Crocs
    4) cheap rubber flip flops or sandals
    5) any t shirt with a graphic or message on it
    Happy Christmas everyone 🎄

    Definitely yes for part two. Also, what you should’ve said when you sat down at the table is, or when you started talking about dating, is (in a playful tone) “OK, lovely ladies, I know you brought this topic up in an effort to get my number. Before we go any further, here it is!“

    Hey John, very good video and it's true about toxic dating advice out there with all of the blaming and name calling. I have figured out which men do this and why, so please hear me out.
    Men who are complaining that women only want money are financially broke themselves. They're broke because they have the discipline of a ferret. They seek money to live just like they seek women to be happy. They make fun of muscular men because of their own insecurities about not going to the gym. They avoid any and all opportunities of self improvement. The one single area to start reshaping and gaining confidence which will snowball into all other areas is exercise. It starts with getting the body right.
    Good women don't care about the money or flashy stuff. But men turn off those good women because they don't hold themselves accountable for being the root cause of their relationship problems. They smell, dress like teenagers while in their '40's, smoke weed every day, and don't exercise.

It all seems a bit ungainly and difficult to manage without getting your arms or hands twisted & crossed over. I’d love to see a demo from you or one of your friends. Would really like to hear more of the "manners" you use while dating. I've always opened the door on an automobile for a lady. And also doors to an establishment, but I've always then let the lady enter then I follow, but I like the idea of holding hands.
    Do you continue holding your date's hand as you walk to the table?
    I'm 56 and married, but I still treat every date night with my wife the same as when we dated before marriage.
    I will say, this old dog is willing to learn and try some new tricks to surprise and impress my wife on our next date night.

    Hey John,
    The only advice YT & social media "advisors" that I follow other than yours is "Your Wing ma'am" by Anna Jorgensen. She not only gives us advice on what to do & also what not to do. More specifically, if your heart isn't in it, don't date.
    As far as having better manners, I was always taught to open, hold the door open, then follow her very closely behind in a very chivalrous manner. As taught in the US Army, as a Fraternity man in college, but more importantly by my father.
    Yes, please do make a Part 2. And please film you and a model, we'll say, demonstrating the door holding technique. I'm very interested in that.

    First of all, I love your channel. It is one of my favorite self-improvement channels, and I have taken a lot of your advice. So thank you!
    This being said, can all of you guys please stop saying that if you work out and dress up, you're going to be in the top five percent of guys or whatever? That flatly isn't true. Your genetics are going to dictate how high on the attractive scale you can go. You can (and definitely should) make improvements by working out and dressing well. No doubt. But you can't go from a 4 to a 9 as saying that implies.
    That just sets people up for disappointment, and it's a big reason why we have the ridiculous black pill theory, LOL. One of their key "spokesmen" on UA-cam (whose name I will not utter) outright said that is what inspired his channel. So please, let's not create any more of those people if we can avoid it!

    • @40OverFashion
      @40OverFashion  6 днів тому +1

      Very much appreciate your feedback, but I never said it takes you from a 4 to a 9. I’m only stating the fact that most men over the age of 40, in the US, have fallen out of shape. So, that means that if you’re in shape, you’re part of a very small minority.

  • @musicmanMJS
    @musicmanMJS 9 днів тому +1

    The thumb in the pocket trick works great, but it seems to work better for me with jeans style horizontal pocket openings rather than the vertical slit pocket. Slit pocket trousers were made to go with suits which cover the bulge of the pocket when you walk. Every time you take a step, a vertical pocket flares out and draws people's attention to your sides when you really want them looking at your face. Keep your hands out of your pockets and in my opinion, find pants with horizontal jean style pockets

  • @kirkdarling4120
    @kirkdarling4120 2 дні тому

    There needs to be more discussion over the door-opening bit. This is not a matter of appearances, this is a matter of real-world safety. The general rule is that the gentleman always takes the protector position. You can see this happening with persons who have a single personal security guard. Attacks will happen during the transition into and from a safer zone (your automobile or the venue _you_ selected) and the street. If the place you're going is more dangerous than the street...why are you taking a lady there? The street is _always_ the more dangerous zone. You should always be with the lady on the street, which is why you open the car door and stand outside until she's safely in the car and also why you _should_ open the venue door and make sure she's safely inside before you enter. Once inside, you can lead the way to the table.

    Chivalry Never Died. The Gentlemen in most Men Did...
    Being Male, is a matter of Birth.
    Being a Man is a Matter of AGE.
    Being a GENTLEMAN, is a Matter of CHOICE...
    The little things matter. And the ladies out there notice. Ladies at other tables notice when you do those little things for your date, woman, partner. I have received dirty looks from "men" for doing this. And admiring glances from ladies of all ages and class...
