Over here our son got us growing ornamental types in our container garden for the past few years and that has quickly became one of our favorite types. Haven't popped any of that kind yet but got a bit more this year and will have to try them that way. Good stuff for sure. Thanks for the share!
I grew a bunch different corn over the years but never grew pop corn . We might to try and grow some next year . I have always liked growing the old heirloom corn and sweet corn . The dang deer and raccoons get my sweet corn so bad that we didn't plant any this year . Thank you for sharing !
Sounds great! I'm planning to grow some of this this year though I'm not dedicating a lot of space to it. I'll be growing it in containers. How close did you plant yours? Thanks for sharing!
About 6 inches apart. I’ve never tried in containers but it’s not a big plant so it should be good. Just remember it needs a few plants to ensure pollination
Hmm.... But can you eat it like corn on the cob or mill it to make cornmeal? I mean, I assume so, but I've never grown corn or popcorn and I haven't the faintest clue if there are differences...
You could dry it as grind into flour but it would not make a good corn to eat fresh. The kernels would not be sweet and would be way to hard. Hope this helps
@@DaveTheHillsideGardener In ground sir, actually i was saying that when i try to make its popcorn 🍿. Its seeds 🌰 does not pop.I added oil, butter, but Failed😄.
I just planted 10 seed. This made me super pumped for my future.
I hope you get a good harvest
I’m growing so much of this next year. It’s so good! 😋

Awesome video! I have one growing this summer and looking forward to giving them a try!
Yes!! They are great
I have this popcorn 🌽. But i fail to make it every time i try. 😞. It looks easy to make popcorn but strawberry popcorn is a little tough to make.
Can you give more details? What are the growing conditions, is it planted in a single row or in a block? In ground or container?

@@TheRealMirage00240 Did you dehydrate thoroughly before trying? It should be kept for ~a month after harvest before making popcorn
My granddad grew I never heard it called it strawberry our dentist always gave us an ear at Our visit
Wow that's pretty cool. If a dentist did that now they would probably get sued somehow.
