I've got tears in my eyes from lol. You are hilarious. I'm currently trying to grow popcorn kernels in my orchid pot. I even have a grow light for them. Fingers crossed. ❤️🌽
this came JUST in time for me ! ive been very excited to try the three sisters growing technique and i've been begging my dad to get me corn seeds for like a MONTH and today he finally got a pack and now i see this video!! i'm so excited to start growing them and your tips are so helpful !
You can cook a cob of corn still in all its leaves for 3 or 4 minutes in a microwave .it tastes better than boiling it and retains all the flavour .when cooled slightly pull back the leaves twist into a handle dip corn in good quality salted butter and bite into deluciousness
Wait you thought corn grows under the surface? That surprised me as I came to know you as a plant nerd - but I grew up beside (and sometimes in) huge corn fields, so it was normal for me to see them grow and sometimes yoink a young one to eat it. Edit: so where's the homemade popcorn from the homegrown popcorn kernels? (It needs to be the right strain, normal corn doesn't work)
@@nikolaybondarev7407yeah, I quickly noticed she’s not skilled in anything plant related. I’ve never actually seen her grow anything successfully. Better to go to a real gardener or farmer on UA-cam than this nonsense…
That's so cool! I'm tryna grow a bunch of things too. It started when I wanted to grow a passionfruit bush, but all my seedlings died :(. After that I grew some other fruits and vegetables. Next year I'll try growing passionfruit again :))
The multicolored corns are not actually that hard to find. If you buy Indian corn around thanksgiving you can plant the seeds and get colorful corn. I have been growing the stuff for years now and I managed to breed blue and pink corn.
Your channel was in my recommendations today and it was the video with the caterpillar 🐛 and strawberries 🍓. When I looked at all your videos, I was happy to discover that you are doing things I’ve always wondered about. So here I am watching this video wondering how the small baby corn on the cob, like what is found in Chinese cooking, is grown. I’ve even seen small cans of the baby corn on the cob in cans at the grocery stores. It’s usually found in the international food section of the store. So, would you be willing to make a video about how the baby corn on the cob is grown?
Even in the last time you planted it, it still too many plant per pot . At least to me. For me, i'll just plant max 3 plant per pot. This was for any plant, not just corn. Too much plant per pot was bad for their growth.
@@growithjessie lol Love you. Love from North east Pennsylvania. I really want to see you try to grow Goji berries Grape Strawberry Pineapple Guava Cherry Peach Mulberry Ps. You and your bf are cute together and i love the growl and accents and the way you talk. Super entertaining. Never change :)
its so annoying when she mentions how cold it is in Canada in every single video like 5 times, when there is really no difference between where she lives and northern usa
Do you knoe which part of Canada she is from? And with how excited she is about growing things in her garden im not suprised that she is mad that she needs to pay double the price for veggies and fruits when she could grow them herself if she was in a warmer part of Canada or the USA. Canada is awful in winter.
I’m from the most moderate big city in Canada so I would say it’s similar to the US… but a lot of places are freakishly cold like -20, -40c. No need to be so hostile about it.

three years ago, yes i did think they were like carrots in that they grew underground! then I realized they did not in fact grow underground LOL

@@nikolaybondarev7407The journey to being a plant nerd is a long one.
People can come a long way from three years ago.
@TornaitSuperBird yeah you're right but when progress is near trolling level slow I'll have to disagree

Make sure you leave your corn on the plant a lot longer until winter hits and it will be full size, your corn that you pulled seemed very immature
Lol
