The rot you have discussed was and still very much part of the religious corporations. Dallas Willard said many years go that as long as leaders remain in "show businesses " things won't change.

It’s so refreshing to hear a pastor speak on body awareness as Divine revelation. So many have had to find that message outside the church and it’s a major loss.

*The body is a major Prophet. **Can you catch that satisfying breath anytime you need it? If not, there's something just beneath the surface. ***Thanks for hosting Rich again. Always gold.

I left the institution years ago because of the power imbalance between clergy and laity. I work for a large corporation and I see the same organizational principles being applied to church. Attendance numbers, giving amounts, building expansions, vision-casting. I grew tired of being a shill in growing a 501c3 brand name.

Looking for church to look like
      1 Cor. Chapters 12,13,and 14?
I do too. I heard the Lord say: draw a circle around you and become this person you are looking for in church.
I hope you too will become that person before God Almighty.
We are here to realize ONLY His love for yourself first. To get to KNOW Him. To believe Him, every promise He made is yours, is mine. When we BELIEVE this truly, give ourselves wholly to this God, our Father in heaven, we will have found the place we can live from. Be the janitor He wants us to be. Be the teacher, or the plumber or the doctor, or be the dad, the husband, the wife, the mom, the neighbor and change the world. God bless you!

The 2016 election was a karmic moment of an AntuChrist Spirit. Sins lies misinformation all covered up by Government and religious leaders!

Every believer, especially leaders, should recognize the need for psychotherapy simply because no human can shield themselves from trauma and the effects of trauma. To think otherwise indicates pride.
    Proverbs 15:22
Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.
    Proverbs 13:10
By insolence comes nothing but strife, but with those who take advice is wisdom.
    Proverbs 20:5
The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.

Church attendance was never the end of discipleship.
Jesus said I am to take up my cross to follow Him.
Are we willing to die the death to self, to love God above all else, so we WILL to love others?

Many have left because church has become more about the love of the law instead of the law of love. Sad to say.

Words I heard that I have used in this season (2 years): weird, disorienting, rhythms…God has been kind in spite of it all.

That list of seven is a book ... or at least a blog post. 7 lies leaders and pastors believe about themselves. Please expound on that!

Definitely research is needed. Churches which closed - churches which stayed open. Attendance of vax versus non vax. Difference in Denominations Church functions:for example number of children who have memorized scripture past 2 yrs versus those that don’t. Or Is how often a paster preaches about repentance (Jesus main point) critical for church growth. ?
Maybe critical thinking is more important than “a person story “of their pastor experience

Not so new. Church attendance and Christianity in general have been in decline for many years.
