My son came to me mid 2021 when it became mandatory that everyone get vaxxed and told me he wasn't getting the jab even though his work demanded it to continue being employed. He said, this is just a dress rehearsal, if we don't take a stand now, what will people do when it's the mark of the beast. He was fired from his job in December 2021 (not one person got the religious exemption approval from his company). He stepped out in faith and trusted God and God has met his every need. It brings me to tears seeing how my son trusts Jesus with all his heart. God is so, so good ALL of the time and He is worth dying for if necessary.

I’m poor , disabled (health) almost homeless & persecuted for not wanting to take the $h0t but I thank God everyday that like the sparrow I have food, water, and shelter. Persecution wasn’t as hard for me as it will be for somebody that is going to lose everything they work their whole life, for I lost everything slowly and I count my blessings of the Lord did this for me. We respond with being ready for suffering and being resolute in our faith and confident in our Lord Jesus Christ in the midst of it.
Do you realize what you are saying. The Bible never preached to prepare people for suffering or martyrdom. Actually Saint Paul said to pray for basically good government so that the word could be distributed to the world. Your view presupposes the failure of Christianity, that the churches are going to shrink and shrink until they are some kind of a tiny minority which will be abused by the majority. It’s negative fatalism. It’s not particularly Christian and it’s wrong. It’s like a cancer that spreads your personal depression over how you see the world going. You really need to pray for good government as Saint Paul said so that the word can go out, people more and more will turn to Jesus, and those called to his name will grow. There is tribulation in the world but this love affair with pessimism is off.
I pray that both of these great preachers continue to be strengthened healthwise, as they have aged now and we need more preachers like John MacArthur and John Piper who keeps teaching the true Biblical God. May God continue to strengthen them so they could continue on with their Ministry and sharing the true Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

America turned her back on God a long time ago. We are reaping our reward. We are possibly the “freest” country on earth. Too much freedom is dangerous. Everybody doing what is pleasing to them goes against the very nature of God. Christ provides us true freedom and it comes with responsibility to God and our fellow men. First keep God’s commandments, the 10 He wrote in stone with His own finger and rewrote with His own finger when the first broke. They are that important. Explain none of them away. This brings me such comfort and also great sadness as I have suffered so little and complained so much over it. What is true suffering ? I wouldn't know it. Only first world suffering. My husband was MURDERED by our local hospital when he was admitted for covid. I begged the doctor in charge to give him ivermectin and had an outside doctor willing to come in and administer it to him, but all I got was a lecture and they wouldn’t let this doctor in the front door. They never let me see him or talk to him and they shot him up with Remdisavir and actually blew his lungs full of holes with the ventilator. I called an attorney and was told I could not sue because they followed Fauci’s and the CDC’s “protocols”. So now I am a widow who never got to say goodbye the the man I was married to for 40 years. But my beautiful husband is with his God and Savior, Jesus Christ now. Knowing this is what keeps me going.

I am a few weeks to my 42nd birthday and can't believe that I have only just discovered great preachers like John MacArthur, the late David Wilkerson and Voddie Baucham. I am on a binge. My eyes are being opened.

I believe we need to draw closer into relationship with God, memorize Scripture (since that’s our weapon), and remember that wherever God places us, He will use us. I think Piper was the better shepherd at this point in the conversation and actually answered the question of "how do we prepare?". His gentle correction of MacArthur (and those watching who are quick to growl at the culture) was wise and necessary. Nothing has changed in terms of Christian suffering and our current situation is not "strange" (1 Pet. 4:12). Also, who else but Piper could correct MacArthur and get away with it?! So thankful for both these giants of the faith.
I actually thought Piper was somewhat disrespectul to John MacArthur. "You just spent 10 minutes..." His answer seemed like a rebuke to John MacArthur. He suggested that what JM said would have people "seething with anger." Didn't like his manner of speaking to one of the greatest Bible expositors of all time.
I agree - Piper answered the question. The reality is suffering for Christ has been the norm for most of the Church since its beginning. We've been spared from persecution by God's grace for a long time. Jesus warned us 2000 years ago we would be hated by all nations yet we respond, not with fear or retreat, but with love, joy and hope.

I don't want to rebel especially if he really did die a virgin and he died for me. If he died for me I can't take that away from him. He did something good for me . Even though my sorrows have been strong throughout life keeping me in a cycle of rejection of a women making it difficult to find a wife that is worth marrying, and I've had so many dreams that feel like alternate realities and memories where I'm the same guy same sorrows and perhaps I live in a different city different choice but my sorrows are the same. This makes me scared that if I don't come out as Messiah then the ruler whoever he is , will cast me back into a life of sorrow and being a slave of the 9 to 5. If no one stands up and I don't either I feel those at the top in evil high places will always be there enjoying a life of pleasure and riches mocking the world and the poor. But I am also a believer that with faith all things are possible so if I put my energy to focus on what Jesus said that those that do not marry , when they die they will be made equal unto angels and obtain this world and the one to come but at the price of burning for it is written if they can't handle following Jesus , then let them marry otherwise they shall burn ❤️🔥 but after all that burning I believe if I'm still with Jesus, I'll be at right hand judging all who pierced me in this life according to how much they crossed the line. I hate boastful fornicators even married couples that boast when God even considers married people fornicators if they have sex outside the purpose of having children so in my wrath they won't be spared either. When I have told my family the truth about Christ, they called me judgmental and have threatened to kick me out of the house. This is tiny compared to the murder of Christians in other places. Expect persecution, even if it’s small.
I wouldn’t call what you’ve described as small persecution as persecution. Hostile response to the gospel? Absolutely. But we need to stop calling every instance of hostility an act of persecution. Did your family pursue you with the intent of hostility? No, they responded to your pursuit of trying to bring them to life. Yes, I have a few friends who think they are following Gods Will, but they continually sin of the flesh and don’t try to understand what Gods Will is. It’s not my place to judge, but I usually just encourage people to get married and I was doing that before I became Christian… and even then, I was booed by my friends, and I’m sure they thought I was being ‘judgemental’… but, after seeing so many F’d up situations due to a lack of sexual moral boundaries, and my own experiences, I began to try to get my friends to think … and it went about as bad as possible for both of them. They had to make mistakes to see on a secular level, but I now know the stakes aren’t just temporary consequences.

I’m glad Piper explained to McGarthur to be careful with how he preaches to not use words that would make the congregation hate the evil people, but to see that they were over evil and blind themselves (if they are truly born Again) and to love the Lord is to live for whom and follow Him in suffering to live their enemies to show them a glimpse of the kindness of God.

Amen, John Piper, good answer!! We must remember that suffering for Christs sake is a precious gift. It is not only given to us to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake and the gospel. All who desire to live a Holy life will suffer persecution. Thanks be to God for this unspeakable gift of partaking in the sufferings of Christ. I don't count myself worthy to be baptized with the baptism that Christ was baptized with, or drink of the cup of which He drank. But Blessed be God that He has counted us all who trust in Christ worthy of suffer shame for the sake of the beloved. My son came to me mid 2021 when it became mandatory that everyone get vaxxed and told me he wasn't getting the jab even though his work demanded it to continue being employed. He said, this is just a dress rehearsal, if we don't take a stand now, what will people do when it's the mark of the beast. He was fired from his job in December 2021 (not one person got the religious exemption approval from his company). He stepped out in faith and trusted God and God has met his every need. It brings me to tears seeing how my son trusts Jesus with all his heart. God is so, so good ALL of the time and He is worth dying for if necessary.

I’m poor , disabled (health) almost homeless & persecuted for not wanting to take the $h0t but I thank God everyday that like the sparrow I have food, water, and shelter. Persecution wasn’t as hard for me as it will be for somebody that is going to lose everything they work their whole life, for I lost everything slowly and I count my blessings of the Lord did this for me. I still have my life & yes they can take it but they can never take Jesus from me .

Do you realize what you are saying. The Bible never preached to prepare people for suffering or martyrdom. Actually Saint Paul said to pray for basically good government so that the word could be distributed to the world. Your view presupposes the failure of Christianity, that the churches are going to shrink and shrink until they are some kind of a tiny minority which will be abused by the majority. It’s negative fatalism. It’s not particularly Christian and it’s wrong. It’s like a cancer that spreads your personal depression over how you see the world going. You really need to pray for good government as Saint Paul said so that the word can go out, people more and more will turn to Jesus, and those called to his name will grow. There is tribulation in the world but this love affair with pessimism is off.

My husband was MURDERED by our local hospital when he was admitted for covid. I begged the doctor in charge to give him ivermectin and had an outside doctor willing to come in and administer it to him, but all I got was a lecture and they wouldn’t let this doctor in the front door. They never let me see him or talk to him and they shot him up with Remdisavir and actually blew his lungs full of holes with the ventilator. I called an attorney and was told I could not sue because they followed Fauci’s and the CDC’s “protocols”. So now I am a widow who never got to say goodbye the the man I was married to for 40 years. But my beautiful husband is with his God and Savior, Jesus Christ now. Knowing this is what keeps me going.

I am a few weeks to my 42nd birthday and can't believe that I have only just discovered great preachers like John MacArthur, the late David Wilkerson and Voddie Baucham. I am on a binge. My eyes are being opened.

I think Piper was the better shepherd at this point in the conversation and actually answered the question of "how do we prepare?". His gentle correction of MacArthur (and those watching who are quick to growl at the culture) was wise and necessary. Nothing has changed in terms of Christian suffering and our current situation is not "strange" (1 Pet. 4:12). Also, who else but Piper could correct MacArthur and get away with it?! So thankful for both these giants of the faith.
I actually thought Piper was somewhat disrespectul to John MacArthur. "You just spent 10 minutes..." His answer seemed like a rebuke to John MacArthur. He suggested that what JM said would have people "seething with anger." Didn't like his manner of speaking to one of the greatest Bible expositors of all time.
I agree - Piper answered the question. The reality is suffering for Christ has been the norm for most of the Church since its beginning. We've been spared from persecution by God's grace for a long time. Jesus warned us 2000 years ago we would be hated by all nations yet we respond, not with fear or retreat, but with love, joy and hope.
I’m thankful JM spoke what he did, it’s a conformation of what I see coming and have already experienced. So now I don’t have to wonder why it seems like I’m the only one being persecuted in a country that once stood for God.

I don't want to rebel especially if he really did die a virgin and he died for me. If he died for me I can't take that away from him. He did something good for me . Even though my sorrows have been strong throughout life keeping me in a cycle of rejection of a women making it difficult to find a wife that is worth marrying, and I've had so many dreams that feel like alternate realities and memories where I'm the same guy same sorrows and perhaps I live in a different city different choice but my sorrows are the same. This makes me scared that if I don't come out as Messiah then the ruler whoever he is , will cast me back into a life of sorrow and being a slave of the 9 to 5. If no one stands up and I don't either I feel those at the top in evil high places will always be there enjoying a life of pleasure and riches mocking the world and the poor. But I am also a believer that with faith all things are possible so if I put my energy to focus on what Jesus said that those that do not marry , when they die they will be made equal unto angels and obtain this world and the one to come but at the price of burning for it is written if they can't handle following Jesus , then let them marry otherwise they shall burn ❤️🔥 but after all that burning I believe if I'm still with Jesus, I'll be at right hand judging all who pierced me in this life according to how much they crossed the line. I hate boastful fornicators even married couples that boast when God even considers married people fornicators if they have sex outside the purpose of having children so in my wrath they won't be spared either. When I have told my family the truth about Christ, they called me judgmental and have threatened to kick me out of the house. This is tiny compared to the murder of Christians in other places. Expect persecution, even if it’s small.
I wouldn’t call what you’ve described as small persecution as persecution. Hostile response to the gospel? Absolutely. But we need to stop calling every instance of hostility an act of persecution. Did your family pursue you with the intent of hostility? No, they responded to your pursuit of trying to bring them to life.
I say this only because I know people who slap that label of persecution on too many things, when those things aren’t actually persecution. Hope that makes sense. Have a blessed day in the Lord

Yes, I have a few friends who think they are following Gods Will, but they continually sin of the flesh and don’t try to understand what Gods Will is. It’s not my place to judge, but I usually just encourage people to get married and I was doing that before I became Christian… and even then, I was booed by my friends, and I’m sure they thought I was being ‘judgemental’… but, after seeing so many F’d up situations due to a lack of sexual moral boundaries, and my own experiences, I began to try to get my friends to think … and it went about as bad as possible for both of them. They had to make mistakes to see on a secular level, but I now know the stakes aren’t just temporary consequences.

I’m glad Piper explained to McGarthur to be careful with how he preaches to not use words that would make the congregation hate the evil people, but to see that they were over evil and blind themselves (if they are truly born Again) and to love the Lord is to live for whom and follow Him in suffering to live their enemies to show them a glimpse of the kindness of God.
The world is gonna do what the world is gonna do. What of it?
But how are Christians different than the world? How is MacArthur different? He started off spewing QAnon and conspiracy theory nonsense. He’s ruled by fear. He’s not living free in God’s grace. His only treasure does not seem to be Christ and the Cross. He seems to be much more concerned with ideology and narrative and his group winning. If God has already won, what of it? Praise God and stand firm.

Amen, John Piper, good answer!! We must remember that suffering for Christs sake is a precious gift. It is not only given to us to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake and the gospel. All who desire to live a Holy life will suffer persecution. Thanks be to God for this unspeakable gift of partaking in the sufferings of Christ. I don't count myself worthy to be baptized with the baptism that Christ was baptized with, or drink of the cup of which He drank. But Blessed be God that He has counted us all who trust in Christ worthy of suffer shame for the sake of the beloved. We must remember to pray for those who don't know God and are strangers to the blessings of the covenant of grace!! Don't hate the world, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to save, not to condemn. We must to love the world but not be of the world. We must walk as Christ walked.
The Apostles considered it an honor to have been beaten for preaching the gospel. They rejoiced.

The Jews shouldn't exist at all, because any people that lose their homeland also lose their cultural identity as they are absorbed by the nations that take them in. And yet, Israel was reborn in a day just as Isaiah and Ezekiel prophesied, after almost 2000 years.
John saw a vision in Revelation of an army of 200 million people invading the Middle East from the east. When he wrote that, there might not have been 200 million people in the whole world. They crossed the Euphrates River when it dried up. Well, it's drying up now, just as Russia is poised with military bases north of Israel. Just as Iran is close to having their own nuclear weapons. They already have missiles with the range to hit every nation in the Middle East. Iran has tens of thousands of guerilla soldiers in the regions surrounding Israel.
John also saw something like a flaming mountain strike the sea, which sounds an awful lot like a comet or asteroid. Ezekiel said that the Earth will stagger like a drunken man, which sounds a lot like an Earth knocked off axis by a cosmic collision.
But most of all, Jesus was prophesied by Daniel to be the Messiah, and Isaiah that He would be God in human flesh, centuries before He showed up. And He fulfilled every prophesy about His suffering, even to being laid to rest in a borrowed tomb.
The world is falling into chaos, run by Russia, China and Iran, while America is run by faceless people managing a brain dead puppet of a president. And the Bible states that the non-Jewish world would fall into disarray soon after Jerusalem was re-established as Israel's capital. Be ready for bad things to befall this planet soon.

This is such good teaching of Biblical truth from Both of you preachers of God's word, as a Born Again servant of Jesus Christ the night I received Christ and my eyes and heart were opened to the truth and God's Holy Word, I can honestly say people were either drawn to me asking and seeking what I had or they hated me ,rejected me, persecuted me here in America. Even loving family members and I had nothing but love for them and the Bible I had to hide it or people in my own family would tear it up and say I was overboard even though I hardly Said a word to them , I know every word of God is true and we are and always have been hated by those who love there sin , but it is getting more blatant in our laws as John McArthur said. But Amen to pipers words, we are in this world but clearly not of it. Thankyou for solid Biblical teaching so needed .
