Been a Simon Phillips since I saw J. Beck at the Greek 80 ,81 ,what a great band this is but I do like a singer to come in and sing one song, I know they could pull it off.

Killer! I bought the Protocol 4 CD. It's great. I've been a Simon Phillips fan ever since he was about 19 years old. He's one of my greatest drum idols. That guitar solo is pretty bad ass too!
Absolute fantastic dynamics here. Beautiful groove by Simone. No overplaying. Great. Howe is outstanding, his solo is incredibly well built up. Amazing.
Some real tasty fusion jams.... tremendous sound quality... impeccable videography, and I love how we can see the tapes rolling and every member of the band is in the video enough... good content. Love it.
Huge piece, especially from final resolution from 5:02. So funny the face of Simon at 5:29 (he perhaps thought the keyboard was going out of key, but those 2 "wrong" notes are very cool, especially as he "gets back" immediately in tone).
Great performance, captured well! It's pretty interesting to see Behringer monitor systems in a pro studio environment, juxtaposed with the tape recording gear.
Welcome to the Greg Howe Masterclass. Today he'll cover: Phrasing and articulation: Make your guitar speak! Tone: Get that monster sound. Play just three notes and they know it's you! Tasteful shredding: A little goes a long way. Put it in just the right place.
Tama Star kit ,Zildjian Armand cymbals which they make especially to his requirements plus a vintage Avedis Swish Knocker and effect cymbal high on the ride side
I have been watching all these LBB vids of SP & Protocol for a few months now, they all are as badass as badass gets, but I'm been wondering about something, the girl sitting between the guitar and keys under the lamp,is she related to Simon,or is it just my imagination?

I'm not sure how long Little Big Beat Studio has been posting these videos on UA-cam, but are there videos with Jeff Porcaro playing drums ?
А "мурку" можете, или 7,40?

The TMU (Tape Machine Union) thanks you for noticing. Always remember these tape machines don't spin themselves.

Behringer products are underrated.
Simon proves here that,-just like Charly Watts-,no matter how old you are, you still can play on top of your game. (.....)
🔥🔥🔥
6:42, dude with white moustache on the background...yep, that's what we would all do...and yes, we would also smile like him at 6:54

Well, almost... My girlfriend told him yesterday he looks like Pedro Escobar ! :-)
Outta-spacy blues thingie
Did you record any more tracks in this session? I'd be very interested to hear "Celtic Run" in particular.
Actually, I saw an LP of this session at a concert of him, yesterday. Don't know if there is more, or where you can get hold of it somewhere else.
@@Wahnsinnlive You mean available for purchase? What was it called? Maybe I can find the track list if I know what to search for.

Quite tasty.
This drum set is amazing and wat a miked sound!!! I know it’s tama star classic the cymbals are zildjian but not sure of the series.
Zildjian A eu acho... Interessante porque a maioria dos endorsee usam K ou constantinople...
No, this drum kit is Tama Star. The cymbals are mostly custom made, but they are inspired by the A family.
Tama Star kit ,Zildjian Armand cymbals which they make especially to his requirements plus a vintage Avedis Swish Knocker and effect cymbal high on the ride side
6:33 Nice angle to see his finger technique
