broke that poor coaches heart when he wasnt someone they could actually sign to their roster
😂😂😂
Hurt his soul 😂😂😂😂
Lmfao I thought the same thing
They don't sign walkons just fyi
But this is just corny n played out honestly. Nobody jumper looks like jimmers lol. Next week tune in to see Charles Barkley go undercover st first day of Auburn team conditioning! NoBoDy saw it CuMmIng!!
@@zeebee3606 I dont watch college sports much or basketball as a whole so im naïve to the process and the form of the player
That coach was like , “ this kid about to save our program “ then his heart just broke finding out it’s going to be another 12-12 season
😂😂😂😂 ayo
BYU is usually good though
They’re having their worst season in years at 16-14
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Heartbreaking 😂
Dude took off the sweater and expected everyone to be like, "That's Jimmer Fredette!"
He’s a BYU legend, they better have known that was Jimmer before the reveal 😂
he scored 29ppg on his last year at BYU, they better know his name
Why did he choose to say he from Cincinnati tho😂
😆
@@hixta some of them were like 12 years old man lol
I’ll never get tired of these undercover tryouts
Ong we need more of these. Even the walk on ones. Love it. The Jared Goff one is awesome
Makes the coaches sad every time
Why is ESPN uploading 480p content though?
pick someone who's a real pro talent though - not these also ran hacks
Same. Been watching this type of content my whole life and its just funny everytime
His professional career didn't pan out how we all wanted, but he still is one of the best college players ever.
as a professional, he puts up about 30 ppg average the last few years....
Yeah in China
elite overseas player thats a pretty good career
@@simba0940 it did pan out lol.
@@simba0940 coaches have said he could play and had talent. He just wanted to do things his way like it was college. A bit of a hard head
Coach was like " I got a killer freshman! yes!" then was like "GODDAMMIT!"
at BYU it would be like "AWWW GUMMY BEARS"
Gosh dang it!
Crushed him 😂
@@dinosaurclub 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Jimmer Fredette could walk into any random YMCA basketball pick up game without a disguise and no one would recognize him
I would lol
Maybe anywhere outside of Utah.
Except for those who watch any college basketball at all
@@chasewright8324 Yeah, I may be a Canadian but for real Jimmer was averaging like 30 ppg on ridiculous efficiency and long range shots. His senior year at BYU was insane.
they would recognize the crazy game he has within 5min tho
He took his disguise off and he still had to tell them who he was. At BYU. Hilarious.
His shot form gives it away too easy
One of the most recognizable shots tbh
Yes big time
also the cameras all around tracking all his shots gives it away a bit
I feel only real hoop heads wood pick up on something like this lol.
ain't no way none of them at least thought "hmm, he's got the jimmer shot" 💀
"Hey guys I'm Jimmer Fredette" and they still didn't know who he was 😂😂😂
Didn't know him either and I'm 60 yrs old.
"so you're not from Cincinnati?"
💀💀💀
Bro didn’t even need a disguise 💀
I can promise you the kids walking on at BYU know who Jimmer is and EXACTLY what he looks like. So, yeah. He definitely did. Jimmer is a freaking legend there.
Fr
480p? ESPN, is that the best you can do? You're the largest sports media company in the world, and you're uploading your videos in 480p?
you'd think it would take a concerted effort to upload a video NOT in HD
Chill out, you make Roblox videos. The rest of us can handle it.
@@loldirt2893 yeah, and he posts them In HD so how tf is espn making this I’m 480p?
144px Soviet Fredette experiment.
@@loldirt2893 nah he has a point
Jimmer went through all that trouble to go unrecognized, the new generation doesn't know who he is 😂
New generation a fraud. Bball knowledge downright lousy
He went to BYU dummy, obviously they’d know who he was haha. Read a book
but… they recognized him?
@@wag0nman889 which book? I don't think he's in the book of mormon tbf
@@thehansfather282 I think any book you can get your hands on. Just start reading and you’ll find what you’re looking for. Onward.
I love he said what dorm he's in lmfaoooooooooooo

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
🤣🤣🤣
Underrated coment
Lol
💀
You can tell it's him! No matter how much they try you can always see it in the eyes.
Just think about it, when Jimmer was going crazy at BYU a lot of these guys were in elementary school lmao. It wouldn't shock me if they really didn't know. I used to take them deep threes in practice my Freshman year and my coach hated it but I used to knock em down. If only he knew where basketball was headed in 10 years.
Except for the part that Jimmer is a legend of the university they play and they need to know the history of the university if they want to be a part of the program.
@@diegomata3624 That goes without saying but you never know these days lol
They should know him because he is a BYU basketball legend. But yeah I would still say a few of the players definitely heard of him but just didn't know what he actually looked like.
@@sky9159 I assume there is Jimmer’s face all over BYU locker room and those tribute stuff so they all should know who he is.
Jared Banks, the legend that never was.
Jimmer was a walking bucket in college for all of this who don’t know who is…Had a legendary college career at BYU 🔥🔥🔥
Jimmer was so fun to watch at BYU
Chad Powers out here unlocking the dreams of so many of the unseen... Jimmer was one of the most dominant college basketball players in decades and was a treat to watch for everything he did well!
It's even more impressive he could drain all the 3's in a row he wanted, with a bunch of extra weight he had to account for
It's a flick of the wrist Bubba. Come on.
easy when u got 10,000 hours+
He's not a airplane
Yeah for real! Like have you tried shooting with a backpack on? 😂
A lot people thinks making 3 pt shots is easy in the NBA, but a lot of thise players can make 3 pt shots like this guy. The difference is defense in NBA is incredibly tough where a defensive player 5 feet away can make up ground and air to block a shot attempt.
“And YOU want US to call you Slick Nick🤨”
Ahahaha fuxkin priceless🤣👏🏽👌🏽
Dude don’t get the respect he deserves dude was literally a bucket FrFr
not in the NBA lmao
he the basketball version of Tavon Austin
@Chad Ferguson jimmer was the 10th pick. him having 7 ppg as his best is pretty bustacious. but yeah his college time is as iconic as like the civil war in the minds of football fans
He was straight he just couldn't defend nobody
Only in college
Jimmer "The Lonely God" Fredette 😂
But i love the still concussed faces when my man took off his disguise 🤣
Dude needed to join the league 5 years later than he did: no defense, more floor spacing, 3 pt shooting as king.
I think if he was in the 80's/early 90's he would have stuck in the league as did Tim Legler, Fred Hoiberg.
he can't play defense he'd be run off the floor. plus he thinks he's better htan he is and won't put aside his ego. he's nothing special in the league, he's gotten a ton of chances even last year he was on a squad.
He’s not athletic enough especially lateral defense. And yeah he would do good in the 80’s because those were plumber days
His offense wasn’t the problem. It was his defense. Same with JJ Reddick. Although he was able to stick around and have a good career. They were phenomenal in college bc every team isn’t athletic. In the NBA almost everyone is athletic
@@betonblack3621 also JJ understands his role and is wayyy more consistent
I couldn't have remembered what his face looked like either even though I watched him play lol. But we all remember the name.
& that jump-shot !!
Jimmer walked so Steph could run
yup
yall are idiots stephs a year older and was drafted 2 years earlier lmao,.
All these weird Jimmer references when Steph entered the NBA prior to him 🤔
@@davidragon1 obviously because Jimmer was popular first.
Lols no Steph is older and drafted a year earlier
The BYU players are so kind and supportive of "Slick Nick." Love these guys.
Need more of these under covers 🔥🔥🔥😂
It's a relief to the other players and a bummer to the coach with the glimmer in his eyes!
Man I love this cat…had college bball on fire when he was rollin
When someone says they recognize you, just say, “Oh, you've seen my Instagram”, & they will pretend they know you from there to save face. It works everytime & it's hilarious when they acquiesce
They didn’t seem to know who Jimmer was after the revealing lol
Man that pissed me off he was a bucket. Just didn’t pan out in the NBA. Guy is still a ridiculous player.
@@chasepadgett4221 I think it's cause it took off the sweater and not the wig first. He still looked like Slick Nick, and even for me it wasn't even computing mentally.
Upstate NY gettin some recognition 👊
when he takes off the wig and they still don't recognize him 💀
Yea they should of got anyone else 😂😂
I lived in Utah County during the height of Jimmer’s college career and would not recognize him walking down the street. Everyone in Utah County looks like him practically, and he hasn’t been relevant since the minute he graduated.
I’m not trying to be rude, and I know his run is historic, but let’s be real virtually no one 21 or younger knows who he is. His college career was from 2007-2011, that’s now 13 years ago. These dudes at the tryout were still wetting the bed when he was at his most popular.
Love how he says I'm from upstate NY
I feel like half of the actual walk-ons had no idea who he was. I actually had no idea also!
thats becuz u didnt go to byu
If he didn’t say his name I would have no clue.
@@johnmedina5399 His name was literally in the title, wdym? lmao
Jimmer is one of the the best COLLEGE basketball players in the last 20 years. Not even considering what happened as a pro, in COLLEGE this man was a legend.
Because you're not Mormon. He is a hero in that culture. If they're Mormon--which they probably are at BYU--they know who he is.
"you are not actually good enough for our team, maybe next year"
Man has got his second build maxed out already
😂😂😂 maxed out the main and had to work on the alt
Dude was making every shot, passing, leading.. coach was probably feeling something
Truly gives you an idea how good nba players are
He played in the China league his whole career
He literally played for the Kings, Suns, and other teams.

What’s next? Shaq undercover at LSU?
These disguises are so brutal. You might not be able to tell who it is but you can tell he's running around wearing a pillow. hahaha
I remember 2011 when for a couple months it was more common to hear "Jimmer!"" instead of "Kobe!"
Cap asf 😭😭😭
@@zeroone7482 you obviosuly either weren't born, too young to remember, or are a kobe meat rider because I can promise you for a fact that everybody was saying it for that brief period.
@@revenant9277 nobody is saying “jimmer” because of someone from the ncaa over Kobe bro it’s common knowledge
@@zeroone7482 Jimmer was by and far the most popular college athlete of 2011. Is it really a huge shocker that there is a "Jimmer" trend for only a couple of months as a result? Keep arguing but I was literally alive for it and remember it well. It was shortlived but it happened
Yep even ESPN commentators during highlights of nba games would say “he shot it from Jimmer range”
When you get dressed up to go under cover but a simple name change would sufficed. 😂😂😂
I’m surprised they didn’t know who he was. Growing up my buddies would yell “Jimmer!!!” when we’d put up 3 pointers. Love ya Mr. Fredette you won me many a game of 2k12
Jimmer was such a joy to watch, man
Jimmer Range!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
Slick nick is crazy
I remember at one point me and my buddy started yelling Jimmer when we took deep 3s hahah

The fat suit was so unnecessary Lmao
These are always good. The Jared Goff one, Eli
I think the only good one was the Jared Goff one cause he made some funny comments. And guys were feeling disrespected and pissed off. This one and the Eli one were kind of boring. I like the Greg Maddox one too though.

They still don’t know who he is when he reveals himself lol
Every dude knew it was Jimmer the second he put that ball in the shooters pocket. One of the most recognizable shots ever.
Gotta love contents like this. 👍
I honestly love this video so much! Go Jimmer!
Next one:
Johnny Manziel goes undercover at local college,
“We had a feeling something was up because of the fights and drinking during scrimmage”
These guys got their heart broken thinking they would have a winning season. But they also got a great memory.
Jimmer is the nicest guy ever, can't believe an NBA team couldn't use a sniper like him.
He is not that good
@@Aidan-kj7cs agreed lol
I think we have jumped the shark with these bits. This is like the 3rd new one I have seen this week.
Never really kept up with the NBA but know his name from 2k11 when I used to play. He was like a top rookie I think back then
If you kept up with the NBA you still would only know him from the video game.
Undercover is one of the best segments of all time
"You'll want to keep an eye on this Timmy Schloss kid ... He says he's from Cincinnati, but it's like he came out of nowhere ..." 😆🤣
Perfect example of how there’s a whole different level of talent in the pros….dude can’t even stay on an nba roster. And he’s super talented
Coach rly thought AJ dybansta and Tim schloss was gonna lead them to a natty
I didn’t know I could love this guy anymore until I watched this
Disrespectful these kids not knowing HIMMER FREDETTE
Can't wait Slick Nick be drafted in the Semi Pro 2 movie.
This just goes to show you what pro level talent is. People just don't realize how good these guys are. He's just playing bored and dominating. Standing there and hitting three's all day long. And still Jimmer came out of college, did well everywhere else, but even he wasn't good enough to get real playing time in the NBA. It's crazy.
Never forget going from yellin Kobe to Jimmer to curry lmao 🤣
nah its Kobe from anywhere mid range and when i get dumb far away its Jimmer
He just entered the NBA 10 yrs too early. Sometimes in life, timing is everything.
Jimmer could probably walk into a gym in most US public schools as himself and still be undercover.
😂😂😂
Jimmer: “What’s up guys Jimmer Fredette”

Glens Falls NY is where he is from. He looks like a younger version of his dad in the makeup tho😂😂 Jimmer Mania took the world by storm when he played at BYU
If you love shooting, I don’t see how you can’t Love Jimmer💪🏾
There was “Kobe” then it was “jimmer”
You want us to call you slick Nick 😂😂😂😂😂
Love when no one recognizes them when they take off the costume either
Exactly
Legend. I’m gonna go watch a jimmer highlight reel now thx.
Jimmer is goated 🐐
I've thoroughly enjoyed this film all five times I've watched it. Example: "18?" "19."
Played against him in high school, and was one of the few people to hold him under 30-40 points hahahahah😂😂. He was an absolute stud and put in all the work all year. So glad he made it
He didn’t make it bruh. He washed out of the NBA very young then went overseas on small contracts.
Things that coaches used to hate: Deep range 3's, dribbling behind your back, and dribbling between your legs. Basically old school coaches used to frown upon what is now standard effective basketball in 2022.
Jimmer was Pistol Pete - 25 years after Pistol Pete. Jimmer is an All Time Great !!!!
Pistol Pete had a long NBA career. He avergaged 24 pts a game and was an all star. Jimmer was nowhere near Pistol Pete.
I love these New ESPN undercover
Man, if they could actually have real players go undercover at these tryouts, I’d watch every episode. These coaches know what’s going on though.
Great fan of this undercover content. Thank you
The kids were given a glimpse of what an NBA player should at least be able to do to get at least a glimpse from scouts. Jimmer happens to be small for his size and lacks the necessary defensive ability to stay within a system, but he is lights out shooter. Hope he be given another chance in the NBA. A specialist is still a specialist.
Small for his size?

Usually they tell them (in both cases) that they’re filming some other kind of documentary, in this case it would be one about how hard it is to walk on at the nations top colleges or something along those lines.
