I am not one of those bigger gaming websites no 2-minute reviews here only details. Videogame reviews all the time. So if you are tired of short reviews, ones that don't discuss all the games, this is the right place. No big website 2-minute stuff here.
Coverage includes ps4, PS5, XBox series X, Xbox one, pc, Xbox 360, Wii, Wiiu, Switch, and digital storefronts like Steam, as well as companies like Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo
Buy, wait for a sale, rent, or never touch it. The Patented Karak review system to see if a game is worth a buy upon release.
Integrity Statement*
Any game code supplied by PR/Dev is purchased again upon its release and given away to Patrons. No game is reviewed for free and no sponsorships for game reviews taken. My money is on the

"I shouldn't have quit my major in Accounting." ~ Enemy A
@@ACGreviews To be fair, I don't think that most of them know, beforehand, that they're fighting or about to fight werewolves. I mean, I'm no Werewolf: Apocalypse expert, but I don't think there's a Werewolf 'Masquerade' like there is for the Vampires. And Enderon are evil little shits, so I don't think they put on the company brochure: "You'll get to fight Werewolves with a machette and a smile!"
@@OniFeez No, they know, in the lore Pentex obviously knows about Garou being their primary enemies. But the guys they put as security are worthy adversaries on their own.
The Wolf movement and transformations look slick but everything else just looks so bland.
Yes, it's certainly reminiscent of many PS3 era action games, which were great then, but once you've played the big boys of action games from this last gen, it's very drab.
@@chrisbfreelance yet here I am still loving my ps3 games.
@@raf686 same. I’m still loving them. I still play my PS3. Just got Medal of Honor warfighter

Ffs why couldn't the werewolf game just be good?
good as in not 10/10 or?
the game does look like a solid fun experience, janky as hell but solid
Wait for sale is good enough rating.
What ya expect bro, its a Focus Home game lol all their games are B grade
I feel like "B-grade" is overly positive. A decent chunk of their library is practically shovelware.
@@redbeardnj This game is published by Nacon, not Focus Home.
This is that game that grandparents get you because they don't know better and you love them but you're just a bit disappointed that they didn't ask you what game you really wanted.
SPOT ON!!!
lol "It's got werewolves, they'll LOVE IT/ME!!"
Never met my grandparents (R.I.P) but Uncles/Aunties filled that void instead. Sooo many unappealing binned/re-gifted gifts.😂

I guess now we know why this game became EGS exclusive, because even their publisher knew that this game wasn't going to sell so might as well take Epic's money to save up development costs.
Epic are the only company who care about developers
Annnnd that was it.... I never had high expectations with this game ... In my eyes is way worst than maneater ...the shark game...
@@jspekter8410 thats not entirely true, Epic uses that reason to gain a moral high ground. Don't forget about Apple vs Epic, it started because Epic was getting greedy not because they want to give more freedom to devs in Apple's platform.

ACG’s so punctual he beat PlayStation by 20 seconds.
Playstation don't have a caffeinated, turbo charged Karak.
I'm still going to pick it up, being a werewolf sounds like a lot of fun. Despite having a huge backlog, I'm not seeing too much coming out that interests me besides Bloodlines 2.
I agree. Do you think people just have too high of a standard? It's not a triple A game. It's gonna have limits.
Shouldn’t be asking 50+ bucks for it than. I could see this at 35 maybe 40.
It's 2021 games should not be looking like this and having a $60 price tag but do what u want just don't complain
@@who_else_but_dee2821 it's not 60 it is 50 (atleast on pc) plus I got a sale price from gmg. My expectations are tempered to that of a budget game and I did see the review.

6:09 - The song is Kai Tangata (Māori for "Eat People"), and the language is Māori from the native Polynesians in New Zealand.
Basically, they're Moana's distant cousins who ate the flesh of their slain enemies.
Came here to say it Thank you Uso!
Thats pretty metal
Imagine what could be done with a AAA budget world of darkness universe developed game lol
Unfortunately these types of games and genres aren't money printing factories because they aren't mainstream, so AAA companies never invest in them. Its a vicious circle though. If an AAA company did invest, and did ensure it was an amazing game, interest by the "normal" gamer would increase.
I just hope that the Devs and investors behind Vampire Masquerade 2 get their arses in gear, the demo they showed off looked rough, and fans have been looking forward to this sequel forever.
I imagine alot of shallow movie tropes, overt and toxic inclusivity and virtue signaling in your face and tons and tons of live service bullshit. There you go. Hypothetical demystified.
Just thinking about it turned me hairy
“Roll perception plus investigation.”
I knew I liked you.
Yeah, imagine the microtransactions
Damn... I really wanted this game to be good :/
I mean it's not terrible but I do agree with what you said. I do blame Nacon for probably restricting Cyanide's budget. If this was Focus, we probably would have gotten a better game. That's why Vampyr worked.
Is Vampyr a good game? Thinking of buying it? Is it a better witcher game?
@@metalheadzaki vampyr is good on the first playthrough but after that the game gets bland. Not to mention when you beat the story the game just ends and you cant continue on that save
@@metalheadzaki I think it's an amazing game :)
The story, the characters, voice acting are truly top notch and rival the biggest AAA studios. Graphics are pretty great too.
Maybe the only "weakness" of it is the combat, but I found it to be quite decent and you have access to some badass vampiric abilities.
@@dejanstarwars10 it is a good story written game. It has RPG elements but lacks the main think of an RPG. Decisions. There are decisions in the game that bear consequences but in the end, they are not so significant just a matter of who will die or not. The ending could be better, but I Am just a romantic and I really wanted to see that romance going. The evil ending is well done I guess. But overall the evil route is not that good although I haven't played it for the whole game so I can't tell how can you mess the whole game up. There isn't really a good drive for the MC to be evil too. The game should have forced you to be evil and only by being a strong and good player, you should be able to resist it because being a vampire ain't easy. Instead of the game just proposes you more exp for eating people, but your hunger and blood should more affect you. Nonetheless, the Universum is good and I really hope we see Vampyr 2 or another vampire title in the same theme. The dark atmosphere is one of the best I've ever seen in the game. If it was with AAA game budget then goddammit that game would easily rival Witcher 3, RDR2, and God of War if it wasn't so empty on the street and better kick off to encourage players to keep playing. For me, it was dialogues that put me off. They are good for someone who wants to immerse themselves but they can be so boring, lacks movement, and that weird way of looking at each other.
In the end, it's still the best vampire experience out there, I would rate the game at high 7/10 but 9/10 story and 10/10 immersive dark theme. The locations may be small and limiting but damn are they beautiful.
@@metalheadzaki not better than witcher 3 that's for sure, it's decent

Another excellent review! I’ll admit that while I love werewolves, vampires are still my favorite. I’m really hoping against hope that somehow VTM: Bloodlines 2 gets released and is good and not the mess we all fear at this point. I’d love to add Werewolf the Apocalypse to my list but with a full backlog and considering this review it sadly seems unlikely.
I had no idea Alien Weaponry did a song for this, they are a New Zealand metal band whose lyrics are in Maori. Shame the game is a bit bland was hoping for more
Was randomly recommended the music video for that last week, not at all a fan of rock but Maori culture brings out a bit of the beast and I got the goose bumps. Much like Viking chants, it makes you want to partake in a bit of Tribal Warfare.
Correction, the song existed before the game purchased the license to use it as its title card track.
Whoa unexpected 3 am review. Hell yeah! Hoping this game has alot to offer as a curious fan if the role playing series

Think I'll pick it up on sale, like you said. You never specified, though: main protagonist an Ahroun, Philodox (with the whole self-exile thing), or what? I'd hoped for something a bit more RPG-like and open-ended where you could pick your auspice, but that's probably too much to ask from a title on this budget.

Got it with the new Playstation plus membership. It definitely looks circa 2013 ps4/Xbox one. That being said I'm having a blast. It's one of those games that's easy to grasp and you can have mindless fun with.
Why, of all companies, did Cyanide get this IP?
@modnar yug Never seen a Cyanide licensed game that was not a hot mess of failed expectations. Maybe their cycling games are good? But they hardly have a pedigree for good character action, or good action... or character... I struggle to think of what they are good at.
@modnar yug I do know Styx, but it's a marmite series, you either like it or lump it into everything else Cyanide makes. I am in the latter category, not to disparage your taste we simply will not be able to agree on Styx. Seeing as their catalogue is, as you put it, reasonable games, I still question who lent them Werewolf?
@modnar yug Ah, should have known. A pitty because I think each of the White Wolf IPs could use an ambitious hand to try and renovate or explore them.
After Dead to Rights Retribution and Bayonetta, we're definitely overdue for a proper game that lets you be a canine/giant cat. Actually, I forgot I have Okami HD to play hmm....
I loved werewolf as a kid. So I’ll be buying just for the nostalgia hit.

I got the platinum trophy and have not gone back to it since. What I would say is that they could have added a 4 player online horde mode with bosses at various levels and the option to customise your werewolf which would have given the game longevity.
