Hi Diann, that butterscotch top looks great on camera but it's how you feel. Such a pretty solution though, I would never have thought of that. All your gifts are wonderful. We start a new jar every year full of funny things that happen to us then at New year we read them all out and relive the memories 😂. If anything happens during the year someone always calls out "That's one for the Jar" 😂😂. You are such a kind person to make all those tissue holders, we all need those! I think your butterscotch top is really cute. No one would ever think that the neckline wasn't designed that way, I really like it with the corduroy jumper. Those pockets on the jumper are amazing. I don't think the jumper is as unflattering as you do; just like a boxy top is meant to have volume, it just looks like a design feature. I think it's a winner. I also loved the jar of verses!!!

I think it was a good idea about putting a contrast ribbon round the neckline of the top but maybe it would look better not under the dress and worn on it's own, but I think if you don't feel comfortable in it then reuse the fabric. I have just made a dress which I intended to wear at some point over Christmas but no matter how I try to convince myself it doesn't look too bad I know it's just not me... and I I probably haven't got the size right but I just have to accept not all makes go to plan. Love how your tissue holders turned out. They would also make cute bridal or baby shower favors since you could use wedding or baby specific fabric. Agree with the other viewer your drawstring shirt may work better on it it’s own-probably cute with those cargo pants you recently made. Or…repurpose the sleeves and a portion of the bodice for a new neckband sewn to a contrasting butterscotch print fabric-using same pattern, of course. Well…that would mean you’d need to do some fabric shopping (oh, darn what a burden to look for fabric in the New Year) . 😂

Sometimes if the band doesn’t come right I’ll put a very narrow piece of interfacing around the whole neck so it unstretches the neck then put a new band. It brings the neck back in if you’re lucky.
You should cut another neck binding about half the length it is and be sure the stretch isn't pulled when you sew...a gathered neckline is prettier. If that isn't an option run some elastic inside of the binding...you could take some tucks and darts in the fabric to help with the stretch. I like the color of it also.

Your garments are lovely. What about trying clear elastic to draw up the excess around the neckline on your butterscotch top. Just a thought.

Fabric mart fabrics. It’s very good quality. I don’t know if they still have it or not! 💜
Just subscribed. I suggest you use eyelets and rib or cord instead of the work done with the needle. Eyelet will look more finished and professional
