I just assumed everybody used offcuts and scraps for yokes and pocket facings. I buy a lot of remnants from the local thrift store and nothing is quite as satisfying as making a nice garment out of what I have. Of course that often means using leftover fabric for facings and such, but it still looks nice on the outside. Oddly enough I just finished a Rhapsody in a navy print rayon challis that I found at the thrift store, but as Providence would have it, I had just enough fabric to make the facing as well. I do love wearing rayon challis! It does feel so lovely when someone gives you a compliment on something you've made, especially when that person doesn't know you sew. I'm sure there will be many complements in your future because you do such lovely work. I'm so thankful you are seeing well enough to sew. I hope your referral comes soon and your new doctor is compassionate and skillful and will be even better than the older doctor who retired.

I so enjoyed you inspiring video. I have those Love Notions blouse patterns. I am recovering from hip replacement surgery. It’s been a rough 2 weeks but starting to feel better. The month before surgery I couldn’t walk. So I’m glad I had it done. Those sweaters are so cute on you. Keep up the great work.

I make a lot of kid's PJs for Christmas and years ago i started putting a different color lining in the yoke, kinda become my trademark. I love the idea of adding that different fabric inside to your blouse. I used to do that intentionally to the pockets of pants. My daughter loved it. It was like a little secret that she had. Have a wonderful weekend. ❤

I love your outfit. Is your sweater made from a waffle type of knit? I made a sweater top out of ribbed knit, and it kept getting bigger and stretcher through out the day.

I have been in a sewing slump lately, but I think this video has really inspired me! Especially that Ballad Blouse!
