My bmw 3 series acceleration and other things aren't smooth as when I first got it, I'm looking to do this on my vehicle as many people are doing it, big, BUT do you have to reset the battery or register the on the bmw system because we took the ground out?
This isn’t where I would start for non smooth acceleration. And no to registering the battery as it is the same battery. Only register the battery when it is different or new.
Awesome, thanks man! I put a new battery in my BMW 1 series E87, but can't seem to register the battery. I used an ancel bm700 OBD scanner and it mentions something about a terminal 15 error. Would this also clear that error if I disconnected the battery for a bit? Cheers

It's a really bad idea to remove the battery terminal to reset the fault code on a BMW.
