I have been thinking about this! I go back and forth and just filming an entire class, or is that too long? Or just by activity? 😂 But I do like this idea. Thanks for mentioning it. It's so great to get feedback. I'll try to get something up on the channel this fall!

How does education, experience and accomplishments figure into whether the rates are appropriate?

Great question that could definitely be its own video topic! Education, experience and accomplishments definitely do figure into a piano teacher's rates. Those factors are more subjective, of course, as we all know very accomplished musicians who don't have the passion or patience for teaching and teachers without degrees who are at the beginning of their journey but are really shining as inspirational mentors to their students already. I think that's one of the reasons figuring out rates can be so difficult, because it is a value-based service. I tend to preach the message of "charge what you want to make" because, personally, I've yet to meet a piano teacher who was OVERcharging...but rather, most are undercharging. Anyways, you bring up a good point and I'd love to dive into this topic further in a future video. Thank you for commenting!
