This entire process does shock the tree no matter what but 90% of the time they recover extremely well there also thing you can do that will help shock the tree less
@@TGNep I thought so because lopping seemed almost violent when I watched Peter Chen do it in a UA-cam video. My Venus flytraps repotted each year when they were still dormant because I believed that would reduce or prevent a shock. They always broke dormancy in about two weeks and then grew again.
