I know they left the mecha to different designers for the corporations in TWFM, but it just seems like 30 Minute Missions had a very large influence on the design of some of the mecha.

@@a.p.studios8713 Nah. They have a combat variant called the Demi Garrison(P-Bandai release, I'm calling it now.) And a successor machine called the Demi Barding. And trust me, both of those look WAAAAY more combat worthy then the Genoace ever did.
@@MasterSwo-MK still how many times have we seen high performance upgraded grunts get shredded to bits (Im looking at you, graze ritters and scarlet team)
@@MasterSwo-MK The issue would be that Earth House doesn't get the best stuff they get the worn out and previous kit so if Earth House did have to throw down for real, they are going to have the Demitrainer not the good stuff.
Honestly I think my biggest gripe with this kit is just the price. Like I was looking at other kits when I ordered this and I ended up grabbing a Zaku 2 Revive for the exact same price. The kit isn't bad but for around the same price there are just so many other kits with more going on. Also it didn't bug me too much on the Chuchu custom but that lack of forwards and backwards on the ankles is killer for posing, especially since the suit is clearly supposed to be more ground based. For me it even beats out the HG Leo for the "THE MOBILE SUIT OF ALL TIME" award. I actually really dig the whole super simple and bare bones design given both the specific in universe purpose of the suit as a trainer and the context of mobile suits being used for a lot more than just military stuff in the WfM universe. To me the suit really feels like a cross between a pickup/transit van and a trainer plane and I do really dig that, but it really just seems like it should've been 100-200 yen less considering how bland and simple of a kit it is, especially w/o the accessory pack.
Hahah, I didn't know that Chuchu's version is taller! I might have to get this now, just because, well, Chuchu's doesn't come with a standard beam gun, only the rifle. I think it's alright, when you consider its job. It needs the support kit for you to get better results out of it, but it's also cheap, so it's pretty neat, all things considered. It's actually what you'd expect from an actual grunt (IE, a shock troop with very little actual benefits). In fact, when you consider that Zaku usually only ever came with an axe, and weren't very modular, it's possibly got a bit more going for it. Also the sabre stick, that's hilarious XD Given it's a straight-up 3mm stick with a bit of a lip to prevent it from slipping, this looks like it would do well as the handle for something. Also, these Demi Trainers are giving me big TMNT vibes, someone needs to get on to customising those, stat XD (actually, could wait for the 30MM chain set to come out, that'll help with giving Mikey his nunchucks XD)
For more skilled builders, I can see it being a "meh" kit. For beginners, this is a perfect entry-level kit thanks to the setting. A HG Zaku II or RX-72 gets the job done, but accessability is always a problem in the states. Feels like the Demi Trainer takes off a massive weight as beginners won't have to worry about parts that are VERY easy to lose like polycaps since it has the least amount. The Demi Trainer also has an expansion kit that comes with a gatling gun and a knife to make it appear more threatening. Visually, it's a watered-down Leo and I'm here for MS driving schools as a concept. Imagine someone as reckless as Spongebob from the hit TV show of the same name behind the wheel of a mobile suit terrorizing his instructor as if his boating skills were bad enough!
Is that light reflecting on its visor during the size comparison? It looks like an SD Zaku mono-eye with a happy expression. Btw, seems more fun to buy a bunch of Chuchu Demi Trainers and customize all the extras. It's also taller, so it's slightly more intimidating.
I love Demi Trainers too.. I also borrow another Saber Stick to pose some Arnis combat stances and did the same thing while striking a pose to Akimbo Beam Guns... Hehehehe
I really like it this kit, easy to build, pretty cheap too but with good details, quality and I like the look too, all in one the perfect custom test subject, same with damages, withering my target to many practices and, seeing such a training/grunt suit in various condition, paint jobs, and customization makes sense too
The last time we saw a MS with a "stick" as a CQ weapons was the first Genoace. And even that was at least supposed to heat up to improve penetration for all the good it did.
That first genoace is called Desperado. I think it was made for construction and building that's why the shovel it holds can heat up for ease of moving large amounts of soil. The demi trainer is not meant for real combat but rather for mock battles. Both aren't made for real combat.
I wish Bandai would make more training and civilian MS variants. I am looking at you Hobby Hizack. It just screams Gundam Side-F exclusive (the Hobby Hizack I mean).
Gotta say, ain't the biggest fan of Bandai's allergy to polycaps and I definitely think this kit could've used them. I'm not even sure what people's problem is with them, is it that they don't hold up well?
sometimes with HG gunpla you get loose polycaps straight out of the box This is why the HG IBO kits are so infamous for being floppy. My HG Shining Gundam also suffers from this problem
@@GojiraFan-in9oo So just replace them? That's why polycaps are better than Plastic on Plastic. You can replace loose Polycaps, which you can't with plastic on plastic
Internally, the backpack is designed to house a second beam saber, but the hole is covered up. So all you have to do is cut a hole using the internals as a guide and you can use the second included beam saber.
Fun fact the saber stick is actually a legendary weapon to use in my school vr game and to get it you must do the mission called the cursed colony (Goalius involvement in the Ariel rebuild first launch in space) and the main boss of it is chu Chu demi trainer and it a awkward boss she's on the colony will the demi trainer enemies and Goalius are in space she sniping like the sniper boss from metal gear (not quiet) and to make matters worse for me i accidentally got guel in the hospital and now a dolanza is there and due to a recent update both dolanzas and landman rodis are pain in the ass and it was satisfying as Goalius smashed the demi trainer head and stomping the rifle and fyi the saber stick is equally as powerful as the air kicker (a leg of a different boss which is ridiculous)
Honestly I don't really see the appeal of this kit unless you really love WfM and want to collect all the kits, and I say this as someone who really loves WfM. For a slightly higher price you can get Chuchu's Demi Trainer which looks much cooler, and at least in my country you can also get the Aerial for around the same price as this kit. If it was cheaper I would consider it, but for its current price it's just not worth it.
