Hi great video! And congratulations! Your video has inspired me to plan for my proposal during my coming trip to cappadocia end of this month. May I know how did you get to the spot at love valley(where the proposal happened)?
We went on a hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia with Royal Balloons in 2012, was the most magical and memorable time from our many travels. Thanks for the memories.
Outstanding video, I am blown away by the rugged beauty of Cappadocia. This underlines for me why Turkey is the country I want to visit most. Thank you for taking us on the journey.
It's nice to find a channel that speaks proper English. Also is nice to see people not being so negative. If people really want to know what a place is like, GO THERE and don't watch most of the poorly made, bias UA-cam videos.
congrats on your engagement! I'm headed to Turkey in September. Super excited about this particular site. Thanks for sharing this insightful information.
I dream that me and my wife and 3 little daughters will be in Capadocia's air Balloon someday! Theres much more amazing things to do in there too. Your trip are so cool. Thanks for your amazing trip's video😊
Great video, Zac and Ine! Cappadocia is incredible! If you come back one day, don‘t miss the Yilki wild horses in Kayseri. We have been there two times at sunset (with our son and the other day as a couple) and it was an experience we don‘t want to miss. Best regards 🤗
Hey what did you do there? What acitvities can we do.. im not sure where to go to see the horses and what to do im a little lost. Appreciate a little advice :)
Activities are shown in the video! Many things to do in Cappadocia… all depends on what kind of activities you enjoy most ☺️ but don’t miss out on the hot air balloon!!
Thank You for documenting your journey. My brother, my good friend and I are going to Cappadocia in October 2024. Your video is high quality and your explanations are informative and precise. Also, I want to congratulate both of you on your engagement ! What a wonderful place to get engaged. I wish you both the best.
Great content! I have 10 days in Turkey, what are your thoughts on this breakdown: 4 Nights Istanbul 3 Nights Cappadocia 3 Nights in Kaz or Antayla We don't like to do a bulk of activities every day. One day we might tour for hours and the next, we like to relax and visit one area. Would love your thoughts on this breakdown to see if it's sufficient to get a great grasp for each location
We think that’s a pretty good itinerary actually! If we would make a suggestion, we would say do 3 nights in Istanbul and spend 4 in either capppadocia or Kas. Kas is a nice destination to finish the trip since it’s got such beautiful beaches. Also has many tour options if you wanted to do a boat tour around there
@@worldwildhearts Thanks for sharing. Any particular reason why you select Kaz over Antayla? Many similarities between the two, with one being less commercialized?
Thanks for watching! We recommend staying in Göreme. It’s a small town in the middle of Cappadocia and really great to stay! Any place works there really but you could stay in a traditional cave hotel 😃
Congratulations you guys on your engagement! Plus, posting an excellent video of a place I'm heading to in 3 days now! Surely, maybe, this just might just trump my Petra visit and mingling with my archaeology friends there. Nevertheless, this place is seemingly magical and now the rare coins I've collected of Rome emperors who marched through the valley will least have a point of real reference in my all-passionate love-affair with the ancient world. I hope there are some picture-perfect interiors of lost-civilization churches to photograph as well as some no-hassle shots while drifting in the hot air ballon for my special age birthday. :P If you have a unique suggestions for churches, kindly say hi & give me any ideas you might wish to share. I am an international fashion photographer for many magazine you might see daily; so this excursion will be a relaxing depart from the norm. Stay awesome you guys! Lots of love & good journeys to you are you continue to share the world with us! Looking forward to hearing a Hi from ya.
Hi Roderick! Thanks for the comment! Cappadocia is very very picturesque and you can take many amazing pictures there! We loved the lhe little churches of Ihlara valley. But also the ones from the Göreme Open Air Museum. I remember, however, that there were a few restrictions about taking photos in some of the churches there! The hot air balloon is magical and we wish you a clear day because that's when the sunrise is the most amazing! Have fun :)
We're heading to Turkey in a couple weeks and your videos and tips are AWESOME! Definitely my favorites of all the travel videos out there. Thanks for creating them. And congratulations on the engagement! With all your travels, where will you pick for a wedding or honeymoon?! 🙂
Thanks for the comment 😊 we appreciate the support!! We’re doing our wedding in the US next year as Zac’s family is from there and it’s the biggest crowd! Our honeymoon is TBD! 😉
Thanks for your videos. I love watching them. Would you recommend the nearest city where we should live in Capadocia to explore these attractions please? Thanks
We were in Cappadocia at the end of October until the first week of November. It was pretty cold already (especially during the evening/night). But the days were amazing with lots of sun and about 18°C so perfect for hiking.
Thanks! It's quite a long drive... about 8-9 hours. There are probably night buses that would take you to Göreme in the heart of Cappadocia. You could also fly there (which is quite affordable from Istanbul!)
I’m planning to visit Cappadocia in early October when it’s not very crowded. We visited Antalya last year around the same time and it was the perfect timing cos there were no queues for anything. I went in a hot air balloon ride in the valley of kings in Egypt and it was very cost effective but the hot air balloon rides in Cappadocia is ridiculous expensive (over £200) and I don’t know whether it’s worth.
We also did the hot air balloon over the Valley of Kings... we can say that the one in Cappadocia is more magical! There's just so many balloons, the landscape and rock formations are unique, and the sunset was magical.. Just be aware that there might be some cancellations at that time of the year. We went at the end of October to Cappadocia and almost no crowds at that time!
Thanks! We didn't need any permit when we visited in 2021. This is because we have a small drone (dji mini 2). For larger drones, you might need to get permission!
Thank you for this video! I’m going on a few weeks and it definitely helps to know where I should go and what to do. If you don’t mind, would you have any suggestions for hotels to stay at?
Nice! We stayed in an Airbnb in Urgup so we don’t really have any suggestion… but ideally you find a cave hotel in Göreme! All hotels are in a good location there
Hello Ine and Zac, thank you for sharing your beautiful journey, and congratulations on the engagement! I had a couple of questions about the Open Air Museum, how long did the tour take you? Do you need to prebook the tour with Mehmet or can we do it upon arrival? Last question, how much do the tour and entry cost? Thank you very much!
Thanks for watching! 😚 you can easily get to the open air museum by taxi. It’s very close to the center of Göreme. Mehmet will be there at the entrance once you enter the site. We definitely recommend getting a guide because you’ll learn a lot more about the history. The entrance was around 100TL each and I think we paid about 300TL for the guide so overall that’s a great price! Prices do constantly change though and especially the Turkish Lira’s value is very unstable so could change
Thabks for this amazing compilation. This place is on my travel bucket list from long .your vlog has just given a visual perspective of how to plan my itinerary. Thanks for sharing this 👌❤️
Hi guys! Awesome video, really inspired me to spend my honeymoon there. Do you guys have an estimate price of a two-weeks-trip in Cappadocia kinda like this one you guys did?
Glad you enjoyed the video! Cappadocia is still one of our favorite places we've traveled to. For two weeks, we would estimate about $900. That includes the balloon trip, taxis, busses, place to stay, and food. But doesn't include flight price to get there from wherever you're traveling to. Also, accomodation price would vary a lot depending on what style you want to go for and if you stay in Goreme center or just over the hill in Urgup like we did. Here's an article with some cost estimates for Cappadocia in case it helps in your planning: www.budgetyourtrip.com/turkey/cappadocia
Thank you! We added the link to the operator we booked with in the description below the video. They were called “Royal Balloon Cappadocia” and they’re known as the most reputable company in the area. We also have a full video about our balloon experience which you can find in our Turkey playlist on our UA-cam channel!
Hi, going in a few weeks. Trying to decide if I should do red and green tour back to back. Or if I should do my “own” exploring by walking in cappadocia and then do a “green tour” since it’s further that way it’s not so overwhelming and we can finish our “own” tour whenever we want. Is it easy to do our own “red tour” without guide and car? I only have 3 days. The third day is reserved for photoshoot.
Hi there! Not sure what green and red refers to! Please explain and it will be easier to give advice! ;) Either way, you'll have lots of fun as Cappadocia is magical!
Thanks for watching. The balloons vary in price but we opted for a more exclusive package (including breakfast, only 8 people in the balloon, and champagne after flight). It was about 150€ that we paid but we had a special deal because of COVID!
Hot air balloon ride is really dependent on the weather. Generally, it's better to go between April and October. It's possible to fly during winter but it gets a lot colder.
You definitely need to go to Cappadocia one day! It was our favorite place in all of Turkey. Such a magical vibe there. We will go back at some point. Thanks for watching 🙏
We were in Cappadocia at the end of October (last two weeks). It was already getting cold, especially at night, but no snow yet! I think it might be snowing these days, but that makes for incredible views as well. 😊
5:44 YEEES!! Honestlyb yes 😌 Thats what I plan to do some day. Either prepose on a hot air balloon or watching them at sunset, eatting dinner on the roof. Sounds like a perfect moment
Can I ask can we travel around Cappadocia without a car? And where is the best place to stay if we don’t have a car? And a big congratulations on your engagement….what a backdrop for it 💗
It is possible to do it without a car. You just wouldn’t be able to get to Ihlara valley or lake tuz or the underground caves in Kaymakli. But you could take a bus tour to some of those. Everything else in cappadocia can be reached by foot via walking or hiking. The rose valley might require a short taxi ride. We stayed in Urgup ourselves which is a little outside the main attractions, but quieter. The best spot to base yourself if you don’t have a car is definitely goreme. That’s the heart of all the activities and hikes, so you can walk most places. And THANKS! It was a perfect place to get engaged ☺️☺️
@@worldwildhearts I have arranged to visit the place in May, and I wanted to know if it is worth having it with me. Thanks for your answer. great shots, very good job!
That sounds like a solid plan... both places have lots to do and see... Istanbul is a vibrant city so it might take more time to move around, whereas Cappadocia is more compact (if you stay in Göreme at least)
Hi there! You can definitely find cheaper deals in Cappadocia itself. As for the balloon ride, we mentioned that we actually didn't get the cheapest deal. We went for the company with the best safety measures and for a more exclusive experience as there were only 8 people in our balloon. But there are other balloon companies that offer cheaper rates, just expect to either have a lot more people in them (sometimes 30) or leave AFTER sunrise instead of right before! You can browse different options on the internet.
You are welcome! Thank you so much for showing us around. We learned a lot 👍 will be recommending Cappadocia and the open air museum for other travelers we meet
we didn't use a car to the attractions in and around Göreme, but took an Uber, bus, or public transportation to most places. For the Ihlara valley and the salt flats, we did rent a car
You are welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, drones were allowed when we were there. Just not over buildings, people or cars. Definitely make sure to check local rules and signs when you visit in case rules change
Nice you definitely should! Cappadocia is a must-visit if you’re in Turkey. If you do go or are planning your trip at some point, feel free to reach out with any questions you have.
Turkiye have a lots heritages from ancient civilizations, Cappadoccia is one of them .. here is the history, ENJOY :) The first known peoples of Cappadocia are Luwis and Hittites. BC in the region. At the end of 2500, the Assyrians established trade colonies. The oldest documents describing the true written history of Anatolia are the Cappadocia tablets left from the Assyrian trade colonies. The name of Cappadocia, which means "the country where beautiful horses are bred, the land of beautiful horses", is also the heritage of the Assyrians. HAVE FUN and ANYTIME YOU'RE WELCOME :)

definitely not when the balloons are operating 😅😅 that would be very dangerous. But some parts will be okay, some others aren't allowed
@@worldwildhearts I have arranged to visit the place in May, and I wanted to know if it is worth having it with me. Thanks for your answer. great shots, very good job!
Lol 14 days is crazy i plan to do 3 in cappidocia and 4 in istanbul. Not sure if i should reverse it
That sounds like a solid plan... both places have lots to do and see... Istanbul is a vibrant city so it might take more time to move around, whereas Cappadocia is more compact (if you stay in Göreme at least)
This is amaizing 😍😍 u guys..💕💕
Glad you enjoyed it! We absolutely loved Cappadocia. Can’t wait to go back one day
Could you say how many miles too? We live in America
1 mile = 1.6 km :)
Awesome!!
Thanks! Cappadocia is a dream destination ✨😍
Hi, i found cappadocia air balloon ride nd horse riding are very expensive. In someone else upload a video they mantion they $80 or 90 dollars each.
Looks like you've missed visiting Avanos :) ah, maybe next time.
Yes next time! We thought about going there but for some reason didn’t take time to go!
by far the best place we've been! we filmed a video as well :)
Yeah cappadocia is amazing! 😍 Nice we’ll check it out
Whats the cost of your drone bro ? And model pls
DJI mini 3 lol so not the most advanced! Think it’s around 500 US$? Maybe prices defer in each country
@@worldwildhearts can u please suggest me best drone at best price
No better place to get engaged, congratulations
Thank you! It's such a romantic place!
İt is really great video..thanks a lot for adding me to ur video bro...have a good luck 😊
You are welcome! Thank you so much for showing us around. We learned a lot 👍 will be recommending Cappadocia and the open air museum for other travelers we meet
Hi travellers, can any one of you help me with the procedure to flying a drone in Turkey. I'm a tourist planning to visit cappadocia and antalya.
When we were there there were limited rules about a drone! Definitely can’t fly it at historic sites though
Did you hire your own car? Or did a group tour?
we didn't use a car to the attractions in and around Göreme, but took an Uber, bus, or public transportation to most places. For the Ihlara valley and the salt flats, we did rent a car
How much is the tour guide at the entrance?
We don’t remember exactly! But probably 10-20 US$ at most. Though the rates might have changed over the years!
Awesome video, drone views are fantastic
Also thank you for the information in your other videos.
Are drone allowed for filming?
You are welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, drones were allowed when we were there. Just not over buildings, people or cars. Definitely make sure to check local rules and signs when you visit in case rules change
Im going to Cappadocia when i get a chance
Nice you definitely should! Cappadocia is a must-visit if you’re in Turkey. If you do go or are planning your trip at some point, feel free to reach out with any questions you have.
@@worldwildhearts im going for a holiday in Antalya in the summer but im gonna stop in Cappadocia
That’s awesome! There are direct flights and buses from Antalya to Göreme! We took an overnight bus which was 8-9 hours
@@worldwildhearts i live in Macedonia so its a 19h drive
What month was this?
We visited at the end of October... it was already getting colder and had a few rainy days mixed in with beautiful sunny days!
Nice
I remember in 1408 we were fighting Romans here and now it’s a touristic place .
Lol
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Unfortunately, hot balloon rides often get cancelled. We were there for 3 days and it got cancelled every day due tonthe weather.
Yes it's a very weather-dependent activity unfortunately.. that's sad to hear...
We learned about Cappadocia's relation with horses! Thanks for the extra info 🤩
