@@diligentsun1154 no her fingers didn't move at all (which is how you change pitch) and her bow wasn't touching the strings. she may very well play the violin and was just told not to for audio clarity but she didn't do anything here to show that she knows how to play violin. (still love aidy though, i wouldn't ever expect her to learn how to play an instrument in less than a week for a sketch)

@@diligentsun1154 Former violin player here. No, she is not really playing the violin. She was holding the bow incorrectly and incorrectly playing across the fingerboard earlier. The other violinist in front of Kate McKinnon was incorrectly bowing in between the bridge and the tailpiece. Only Penderecki's _Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima_ has those non-conventional playing instructions.
Kenan's comedic timing is astounding. It just takes one line.

This was one of the most fun sketches they've had in recent years. I loved the ending. Great use of Lizzo's talents. And Aidy is just hilarious.

oh Lizzo the monologue with violin background, twerking while fluting, and a full orchestra twerking simply glorious. Alex Moffat's arm shaking up and down as Lizzo twerked on him is the funniest visual living rent-free in my head, ready to deploy every time i have a difficult moment.
I wanted a sketch where Lizzo played the flute and twerked at the same time. And that’s exactly what we got
I smiled when she mentioned how they are the symphony orchestra, and they make music together. That really shows how connected everyone in the ensemble needs to be to pull off a performance. Great video!

@@kristintripp967 Even so, the strings were way too loud for the amount in the orchestra. And everyone was tuning, but you only heard the strings when the woodwinds/brass sounds would overpower.

I just found the amount of string instruments to the sound playing kind of funny.

In the back, I was headbanging while bashing away on an old Double Keyboard Reed Organ (Dominon Orchestral Reed Organ) that Rodney Jantzi helped me fix. I was playing a Double Keyboard Reed Organ Duet w/ me on the Dominion Double Keyboard Reed Organ & Rodney Jantzi on the Doherty Double Keyboard Reed Organ. It needed new reeds because the ones that it had were old & rusty. Thanks Rodney, you're the Reed Organ repair Tech.
She is delightful and really had a great time on the show.
