@@carbuilders1 I'm in Europe but might drop you an email if that's ok. The other day put some 2mm vibrodamping under the bonnet of my diesel and very pleased with results - exterior engine noise now only heard from underside and front grille, hood completely silent. Planning to have a go on interior as well.
Nice job. I’ve a Jetta which doesn’t have a board backing and just seems like stiffened felt and one side has started falling down. Any suggestions for re-stiffening? I’d think epoxy resin would be too aggressive and you’d end up with a glossy lol.
Hi Catalin. Yes, it can be used there. Often people will use a Peel and Stick Heat Shield in this position as it will have a far greater result in reducing heat coming through the firewall. www.carbuilders.com.au/peel-stick-heat-shield 👍
You guys make great sound deadening and noise block videos for the DIY person. I'd love to try and cover my Acura MDX but the cost of is the same as shipping for a kit to the US(California). Are there other alternative ways to purchase your products without the outrageous shipping costs?
Sorry vieto445. Yes, the air freight shipping to US for heavy items can make it unfeasible. We were hoping to be in the US in 2020 but covid unfortunately affected our plans. We hope to be there in 2021👍
This stuff bit too thick, you loose OEM look with it. thinner material is more suited for this application, you can also role the edge when thinner apply epoxy on the car is ideal
Love your attention to detail and snazzy solutions. 🙂
Thank you George.
Fantastic work
Is that flammable? Oe is designed to drop and smother an engine fire. fiberglass resin burns real hot and drips.
Nice video!!!! You guys have any videos on overhead lining. How to install one?
Proper job! I'm starting to think I need to do this to my Golf

What kind of polyester resin is that? Is there anything specific that we should look for in poly resin?
Can it be used on the firewall in the engine compartment? I'm restoring an older car that had such an insulation but the mice killed it.

I know, but this looks much like the factory one on my car. Do you have any dealers in Europe?
