    In Korea, it's not really popular to combine all different kinds of succulents and cactus as it's not trendy yet and hard to grow them depending on its different traits (watering, soils, etc). Thus, it's interesting to see this sort of overseas video for me!
    Anyway, I love your arrangments and a combination of different kinds of succulents you showed us.
    Thank you for the tips and I may try too in the near future!

      I DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND WHY SHE'S MIXING PLANTS THAT NEEDS MORE WATER TO SUCCULENTS THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE A LOTS OF WATER.. AND WHY THERE'S NO HOLE? PROPER DRAINAGE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO THIS PLANTS/SUCCULENTS

    • @marciayoung1094

      @@pinoylakasradiostreaming5316 , because of the cactus soil in there it has coal also it sucks up the water, so that's the reason for no hole, but my big question is the Palm how will it grow in there without it's roots killing of the rest of the plants ??

    my grandmother just got a biscuit bowl from the antique mall and showed me how she made them growing up. leaving the flour in the bowl and making a well in the flour to pour the wet ingredients into. she said the bowl was always full of flour, you mixed in the middle of the bowl even if it only uses a tiny fraction of the flour at any given time. am I describing it right? the whole surplus of flour lives in the bowl, you form the dough in the center of the pile of all your flour. they did this for nearly every meal. .... but I like your use of it too, very pretty!

    This is my 3rd viewing of this video, and obviously, it's one of my 3 favorite arrangement on the net. I just wish there were nurseries here that had interesting succulents like you have access to. Lowes, Home Depot and Walmart are lacking in this particular product.
    True, there's always the net but the S&H can run up the cost so very much.
    Regardless, I love your work and everything that you've done. Your arrangements are so much like Debra Ann's are: rich looking and packed with great plants.
    Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us.

      ok, well i watched some other videos in the meanwhile and succulents means that they all need or dont need water equally, it s a special type of plant that do not require much watering. Maybe she mixes a lot of different types of plants, not just succulents, and so she has to water them differently, but usually they require little watering.

    2.How do you plant cacti
    3.Why cacti soil
    4.And do you have any bonsai vids

    • @gardenanswer
      @gardenanswer  8 років тому +3

      1. thesucculentssourc.com, 2. Carefully! The cacti with soft spines are easy, but the sharp ones are tricky. I roll up a dish towel or newspaper and wrap it around the whole plant gathering both end of the towel in one hand which enables me to lift the cactus out of the pot and replant without having to ever touch it., 3. Cactus soil is a fast-draining mix which the plants do much better in., 4. I don't, but would love to one day! :)

      Not a lot, it s hard to give a perfect answer but you should water them once a week in summer and once in 2 or3 week in winter. Even if depend of the plant

      Vi Tol succulents don’t need much water there shouldn’t even be water dribbling out the bottom of a pot with a hole I use this method a lot with glazed ceramics

    But there’s no drainage whole? In your other video you said it was important or else the plant will rot

    • @Rustymouse
      @Rustymouse 5 років тому +1

      Yes indeed, all plants in pots needs a drainage hole, so I wonder how these will succeed. They will rot I fear.

    You brought me back to my childhood. As a child I would create dish gardens with cactus and succulents. My mom would take me to the nursery so I can buy my plants. I lost interest. I recently lost my son and mother and I just started creating dish gardens again to cope with my loss.

    watching this in 2022. I have a antique dough bowl that was my grandmothers. Its much more sloped than this one but I would love to do a shade arrangement in it. I love the texture and colors and how you did the heights too. Im not a succulent though as I do not have enough sun for them but Im glads you showed the process from beginning as now I know to use plastic. I've been watching for awhile but never saw this one. You do such a great job on all your videos. Love this channel so much I think its the only "show" I watch the most regularly.
