    This was so helpful! I don't like to cover cakes in fondant but was not sure how I would be able to frost a basketball cake. Now I can do it!

    Such a helpful video! Thank you so much for sharing. Please can you tell which brand of white chocolate did you use to make ganache . I have tried it many times but not succeeded. Probably you can do a tutorial on the intricacies of making white chocolate ganache

    Hi can you do this with buttercream as I don’t like to use fondant and wanting to make a basketball cake so orange buttercream ?

      Yes absolutely. And I have used white chocolate ganache and not fondant

      Whipped cream is tricky. This will work with Dairy whipped cream too.. But not non dairy:(

      What I mean is is the dowel not required to b screwed to the cake base since it’s an eight inch sphere cake? Will it hold the shape and not slide off considering it being round from the bottom ??

      No. This was fine . Won't slid as I'm using ganache . :)

      Amul cream and morde white compound. You have to be very patient :)

    What do you mean by white chocolate ganache "3:1" ratio? The cream is 3 or ganache is 3?

      3 parts chocolate and one part cream.. for example 300g white chocolate and 100g cream

      you can use pyrex bowl or any round shape steel or aluminium mixing bowl instead of buying .. or on amazon these pans are available

      Just adds more stability and keeps the bottom cakes from collapsing due to the weight. Yes I would highly recommend it
