Another good vid colin. Look forward to seeing if you manage the Dales Highway as i've been thinking about that one myself. I like the look of that pub!

Hi colin. Last time i watched, you had bought a plot in the dales as basecamp. Good to see your still plodding on. You give a top commentary on your walks. Naming peaks, crags etc. Remind me of my dad when we used to do walks. He still likes to visit the bothy's dotted around, getting too old for the challenging hikes now lol. I'd love to get back into it. Im in my 40's now. Middle age spread kicking in haha. Need the exercise. Im going to watch now. Thumbs up buddy

In your 40's? Jeeze that's when my football career re started! There's no excuses not to be out and about doing stuff at that age, unless youve ruptured your Achilles that is....and even then....as you will see....theres no excuse!

Haha. Thanks. Just the kick up the jacksy i needed. You really do sound like my dad. He was in the armed forces during 70's / 80's, served in northern Ireland so he is a disaplined man and loves the outdoors. He took me and my brother on many of the fantastic walks. Pennine ways the biggy isnt it? West highland way. Loved it. You ever considered a walk abroad? America maybe (bigger and more challenging). Thats the ambition you get when you develop a passion for plodding would you agree? I am in the process of acuminating new gear so i am dead serious about getting back out there. No excuses lol well, most important. Need boots and to break them in plus 1st aid kit for blisters. Might see you out and about one day. Love your vids mate.

Have you thought of buying some slip on water shoes, they are really light and really cheap, good soles suitable for clambering across streams and up waterfalls. Can be used on the campsite too, as well as for wandering into local hostelries whilst boots are still covered in muck.
Also love the music you use. Wolfstone are one of my favourite all time bands. I think I have all their CDs

Great idea. For some reason I only associate them with the beach and snorkelling. I've even got some !

Yes the injury was pain in the arse! I'm back playing 5 aside now and will return to full Sunday league in the summer after I've done a mammoth walk.....not a long one......just suitable for very old ginger things!
