I got a monster of a PC but I still like watching these videos.
what are ur specs ?
Same
Just spent 3k on a system and cant stop watching as if I'm about to build another
Yeah Lucas, what are your specs?
Ur lucky
Me too
Late to the comment party, but; thank you Toastybros! Your content is amazing, and I really can’t wait to see what you bring to us in 2022! I hope you guys and the rest of team have a great new year! Stay safe 💜
One thing about used motherboards that doesn't get mentioned often, they sometimes come with Windows activated still. Nice little perk, and Amazon/Newegg still takes returns in 30 days if shipped from their warehouse.
A one time payment of 150 for an OS? That would be the hard drive not that motherboard. You can just Uninstall games 1tb is a lot.
It has been so many years that I did not touch a pc just Mac and Im planning to build a pc for metaverse stuff and your videos makes it so simple that I dare to build what I want by myself. Excellent show. You guys have a new subscriber
I play on a mac
Happy new year! Thanks for giving me the confidence to build a pc instead of buying a prebuilt and giving such awesome content, keep it up!
prebuilt pc is like more expensive the dollars you lose you could of used in the pc gpu so thank goodness you picked the right way GL im collecting money to build my own pc after 1 year wish me luck!
@@Secrethiden hey man how’s it going
@@tejthetoj4907 bad bad bad, my life even got bad :(
@@Secrethiden damn bro, I hope it gets better
I swear I knew nothing about PCs and watched this channel for 2 months and now I build all the PCs for my work buddies and I'm a pro thanks so much guys love your content
If I were to start from scratch and build the same PC I built right before the pandemic my $1200 setup would now cost around $3-3.5k. Market is crazy right now.
All around great video. The price, the filming and the build guide 👍
Happy new year to everybody
These builds are really refreshing!!! Good job Toasty Bros
The ad segment was actually good !
2022 grind finna be interesting and hopefully fun but wonderful video to end the year on
Actually had a motherboard I bought for my wife's build come in with the nvme standoff broken off flush with the pcb, so I ended up drilling it out and using a larger screw. Luckily for me it worked and I'm still using that motherboard in my htpc now.
thx toasty bros your builds tell me alot about computers
A E5-2673v3 12 core ($58) or a 2666v3 10 core ($53), a mechanist x99 G7 ($70) and 16gb of ddr3 ecc in quad ($17) with a cheap Gamaxx 400 (~$18) would give significantly better performance per dollar while being significantly cheaper. Mi899 gives you some really good tuning options for these boards and means you can get workstation performance out of cheap server parts.
Problems with said alternatives is that you need to load a bios update to the board to get the best performance with the Haswell turbo unlock, and isnt for the feint of heart.
I3 is better for gaming
@@aynamehd7455 Check a channel called Miyconst. The 2673v3 usually beats or matches it with a 6800xt, where as here it wouldnt matter anyways with how weak the gpu is.
You could get Xeon, but then your upgrade path is practically closed, while on this MB you could replace i3 with i5 or i7. Also, DDR4 is faster then DDR3
Import tax: adios
@@aleksazunjic9672 > you can go to a 22 core on LGA 2011, or a 14 core overclockable cpu, the cpus are cheaper, and ddr3 is faster on this platform in most cases due to it being in quad channel, aka the equivalent of running 4 wheel drive in a car vs 2 wheel drive.
i like your budget guide. thanks
I went with the MSI B450 Gaming Plus ATX board.... still putting the parts together before I take it in for the CPU to be installed.... staying with a basic quad core CPU, don't need to OC the system... so much fun upgrading my system from a MSI 760GM-P35 to the new B450 Platform... AM3 to AM4..... already have the RGB..,.. this build is going to look so nice when its finished! went with a simple 250GB M.2 drive and the existing drives in the system. I ordered the TPM Module for it and only paid 13.00! (out of Europe) looking forward to getting the build done....
I’m starting to save for my PC I’m actually going to try to play some BeamNG drive been wanting to play it so it’s time I get a PC to play the games I been wanting to play and your videos been very helpful to push me to actually build.
OEMs like Dell use coarse motherboard screws as well. Important not to assume they're all the same and reuse them on rebuild or new build because you can easily strip out the holes in the case for standoffs if you can't get a crossthreaded screw out. Thanks for pointing out all the small details for those of us with corrupted memory.
I am using most of these parts for my pc, THANK YOU!!
In future videos, when it comes to motherboards and ram, remember to talk about How some ram and some motherboards don’t go with each other, because I bought a 1.5v ram and the motherboard have a 1.2v ram slot and I didn’t know that was a thing, that the time of purchase some pieces was out of stock.
Well I had to get it the parts are coming in like a month 😊 thanks toasty bro’s
Thank you ToastyBros, this is a good pc and it is around the same price of a console so it is a great budget build.
happy new year to everybody, hope we all prosper and blessings to you and ur family

toasty bros carried this year for me
Nice build guys. I have been finding GTX 950 and 960 2Gb cards for under a 100 locally and they are also great options to get into some PC gaming.
I was back and forth between the 460 and a 950. Ended up with a sub $100 bid on a gtx 950. Been prefect for my kiddos first entry level gaming pc. Pulls a solid 144fps on a 20" monitor. 😁
I just upgraded from using UHD 630 to a 2gb 960 and im def loving it. Can play really any modern AAA title at 1080p at over 30 fps. Better than a PS4
@@BlakeWaddill is the 950 compatible with the rest of the specifications on the video because im trying to build my first pc and i cant get my hands on a 460
@nolay Kiddo plays fortnite at 1650x1024 using "pro" settings and pulls 200+ fps steady. works for us. No issues with compatibility.

really good video thanks for the benchmarks and so on.
Awesome, thank you guys. I'm building my kids a gaming pc for minecraft and fortnite. This video was a huge help

You guys inspired me to build my pc I just need to get the graphics card cpu and the ram and I’m getting the exactly the same
Got toasty wit' some Bros...Happy New Year!
Love you guys and your style. I wish you guys did video editing builds or added that to the testing.
I got a low end pc that’s can’t record games without glitching and I love watching these
If this cpu was an i5 or ryzen 5 with a 560 it would be great cus nothing would be bottlenecking
I built a pc like this for 350$ specs: i3-10100f and b460m pro combo for 90$/ dell optiplex I originally bought 80$/ 1650 100$/ 16gb rgb ddr4 3200mhz 34$/ 550w power supply 35$/ case DIY-argb-q3.
Not installing the two additional motherboard standoffs was a bad idea. It takes quite a bit of vertical force to fit the 24-pin power connector, and the usb3 internal connector which is frequently alongside the 24-pin. Applying this much force to an unsupported edge of the motherboard has quite a high probability of bending or damaging it - unless you manually support the motherboard, which you didn't do. So, for the little effort it takes, install those motherboard standoffs!
Would a 1650 super bottle neck this build?
@@LunkerHunter410 no
my brain was like "just cut the cables!" Obviously that would not end well XD
Love it. My favorite builds.
One day I am going to build a pc like this, one day...
Pro tip: when it comes to resolutions set one big yearly goal, and break it down into goals accomplishable in a time period of about 3 months so you don’t get bored or dis encouraged. Maybe even break those goals down further into monthly and weekly goals.

Could've gotten a rx 570 earlier this year for $80. Now I am rocking a 3060 that I got for $384 from the EVGA queue. Hopefully things get better in 2022!
not true, late november 2020 rx 560s were already hitting 80-100 dollars
@@phasus2997 damn I got a prebuilt with an rx560 for 300$ from a good Friend of mine like a month ago only thing that bottlenecks it is the the cpu cus it’s from 2012 but still a great deal could upgrade later on
@@dachifn6729 thats a pretty good deal, considering its 2012 it still shouldnt be bottlenecking a 560 so your processor is most likely an i3. imo you should sell the i3 for 10-25$ and buy a i7 3770 from ebay or if possible at least an i5 3470, because that can handle a rx 570.
@@phasus2997 nah its amd fx6300 since it’s really old it’s bottlenecking but no that much

I’m planning on building a budget PC with my own parts with the same case! I am watching this because I just wanted to see a PC being made

best budget pc I ever seen
although I can't afford a gaming PC now I love your videos
Can you guys make a 1500 budget gaming pc build please I need helps
That i3 is a great little cpu. I wish video cards weren't so hard to find, even at some bloated prices. I really dislike buying graphics cards from amazon or other places... I had a lot of problems in the past with shipping screwing it up... but... I may have to ebay something to replace my 1070(died on me) Great video A+
I'm personally trying to find a 3070 to replace my 1660 ti. i was so close at bestbuy but checkout messed me up. it was easier to get a ps5 than a damn graphics card...
Im in a similar situation with a 1070 aswell. One thing that helped me decide to just stick with it abit longer was gsync. I was super late to it since ive always used budget 60 hz vga/hdmi monitors for various reasons, and only recently decided to treat myself to a 75 hz 27 inch that has display port, which finally allows the 1070 to take advantage of gsync and man its a game changer. ( apparently the pascal era cards could only use gsync through display port unlike newer cards being able to over hdmi).
Fortunately the 1070 can still maintain 50-80 ish fps on high/ultra in alot of the more demanding games ive tried and with gsync, its keeping things looking smooth all the way through and honestly its making me enjoy this card so much more all of a sudden lol. But of course i still plan to upgrade to either a 3060ti or 3070 when/if things settle, but until then the 1070 will do.
@@ElementalSk81 my 1070 died. Lol so I have to replace it now.
@@meowmageddon ... Absolute rip. Sorry to hear ngl and i see now that you werent implying that you still had the 1070. If youre desperate to find a card that can reasonably game at a decent price in todays market, i would suggest maybe the gtx 960-980/980 ti if you search around mercari or alternative platform. Otherwise itll be a little wait if youre not willing to cave in to scalper prices. We sadly still have about a year minimum before things start to get "better". Also for the 1070 atleast in my area, they go for about $350-$450 on avg which is absurd but gives context.
You can also try your luck with best buy since from my own experience lately, their drops are somewhat consistent, and you really do have a chance at a card if you are atleast aware of when a drop goes live. The problem is that lately ive noticed for the 3060 drop its a terrible single fan model priced $250 over msrp still so thats a deterrent for many ( including myself), and the 3060ti drop is just flat out difficult due to it being the obvious better card thats still priced at its objective $400 msrp.
@@meowmageddon dang bro give it to me. LOL
I remember back in 2019 when you could get a high spec r9 390x for 100$
Happy new year 🎇 💗 toasty bros
Ty for making this a day ago ima make this as my first pc
I wonder if this is compatible with a different case
Upgraded from an i5 7600 + GTX 1060 3gb to a Ryzen 7 3700x + RTX 2070 on a tight budget and I did so buying used items and haggling my way to cheaper prices, spent roughly 420$ CAD (330 USD) for the whole upgrade.. Now I'm building a PC for a friend hoping to get her off her i5 6300u laptop on a budget and set her up with a Ryzen 5 3600 + GTX 1070, the whole build will cost roughly 650$ CAD (510 USD), budget PC's are deff possible you just needa haggle the used market for good deals
Jack and Matt, thank you for your awesome contents. I've been struggling recently and your videos help a lot. I used to watch Joey and Kristofer but they've been inconsistent with their uploads and I'm so glad that you guys upload almost everyday. ♥️ from PH

Why not 580?
Hi there! I know absolutely nothing about pcs and their specs, but i’m looking to purchase parts to build my own with a budget similar to this one (i’m willing to pay more if needed)
I’m wanting to run valorant, minecraft, and phasmaphobia with smooth graphics, but i have no clue what i’d be looking for.
All i know is i’d need at least a Ryzen 5 1500x or an intel i5-4960 to run the games smoothly.
Does anyone have any advice/ tips?
Thanks a lot 😅
Hey looking to switch from console to pc gaming this year, hopefully in the next few months. I will definitely need to build a budget pc!! But as I save up money i’ll learn more and watch more videos. This build seems perfect for me, does anyone have any recommendations or any advice at all?
Idk if you guys check comments but i recently bought the 450 from the link that was in the description and idk if i bought the right one

When the pc parts market is so bad that the only graphic card that you can put into your pc is a Rx 460
Rx 460 now should be worth 50 bucks max its ridiculous. Its so old and it was never good/worth the price
I built this pc yesterday so worth the momey

Td 500 masterbox
Gtx 1060 6gb Asus strix

can i use this with a 6500XT without any bottlenecking?
Thanks bros helpful and nice
Can the i3 also pair with a gt 1030 or will it be a bottleneck like the rx 460?
technically yes you can do gaming on the cheap but and i know gpu prices suck and this rig is fine you can bump up the graphics card at a later date and you wont have a problem. The problem is the rx 460 was a entry tier gaming card when it came out and that was in 2013/14 its not improved since you get somewhere between a 750 and 750 ti peformance out of it.
Rx 460 would get you 1080p medium in AAA games up to 2017-2018 . After that it could mostly run newer games in 1080p low until 2021.
do you guys interfere with screen tear while doing these benchmark?
Happy new year
Just a daily reminder dat 450 bux here in hungary is 127864 (ft) in our courrency
I have two questions what monitor would u suggest and what fps does it run on fornite.
I would some day like to build a pc hopefully sooner then later. And I was wondering if I can stream and game of this build at the same time or like record a video and game at the same time because this would be a nice build for a beginner like me
I like that pc box but is kinda misleading on the fans, on the cardboard box shows 4 rpg fans and only has 3!! 🤔
Hey is the RX560 a compatible upgrade?
I am building this pc in 1 week seems really good can it stream to UA-cam?
Yoooo I got this chair for Christmas
Hey, getting into the pc setting soon (building my own which is probably gunna be this to start) but the i3 and the gpu are upgradable without any changes to the mother board and power supply etc?
