That is a great build with a great upgrade path, especially for younger kids that play easy to run games like Roblox. This will even run lots of Steam games at the lowest settings. Easy to customize to your needs. Want RGB? Get some inexpensive RGB fans. Need more storage? Add a hard drive. Perfectly paired with an inexpensive monitor, or better yet, a used monitor. I love it! 👍

I built an i7 4770k pc with a gtx 1080 for ~£480 to flip. I’m pretty chuffed with myself and it just goes to show that it’s still possible to build decent PCs as long as you’re patient. Great video as always 😁

4770k has 4 cores and 8 threads so it is almost perfect match for 1080 in most games. In more modern games (Battlefield 2042 and similar poorly optimized titles) you may however notice some stutter if you do not limit FPS.

Quick tip to those who look at the benchmarks for the games and to ToastyBros. You can optimize the game for more FPS by altering the game files and properties. It only takes 5 minutes at most, and there are many videos explaining how to do this step by step guides. You can also optimize Windows for more game performance like removing bloatware and stuff. Just a quick advice for those who want more FPS with some simple things that you have to do and I’ve done it in Valorant/Apex and It’s noticeable.

Fun fact: some cases use "power supply threaded screws" for mounting motherboards. It depends on the standoffs in your case. Most of the time, cases will use the smaller/finer thread for motherboard mounting, but it's worth it to double check with every different case you build in

YOOOO I spent around 800 dollars and I got the b450 a pro max however I have a team group 16gb 3600 megahertz. What I don’t understand is I average about 150 fps in Fortnite without recording and apex legends beyond 100 fps with the 5600g apu. You essentially made a little less beefier version of my pc. I have rgb fans, a 512 gb ssd Sata drive, and a 650w for upgradability once I get a gpu.

    • @jtenorj
      @jtenorj 2 роки тому

Well, faster ram gives the GPU portion of the the chip more bandwidth to play with(the area where it is usually most lacking). That could be at least part of the reason your system with 3600 mhz ram(2x8GB dual channel, right?) Is faster than their PC with only a 3200 mhz kit. That's my best guess, anyway.

When i went back to 1080 native I noticed the input lag immediately.Gpu/cpu is around 11ms and if anyone ever wondered, yes you can notice that 5ms of latency 😅

please stop recommending these no-gpu "gaming" builds to newbies. If you want something ez to build just buy a prebuilt, elseway (if you want 500 and new) you can find the gt 1030 (this gpu has about 50% better performance then the intergrated ryzen graphics) for around 125 new, go with an 50 bucks b450 mobo and a 3600 r5 cpu. this way you will have way better performance for the same 500 bucks. all these budget builds always go with way too expansive mobos and a way too good cpu and then cheap out on the core component, the gpu. Else if you think the 1030 is too slow for you just either buy something used or save some more bc you are not going to get better performance from ryzen intergrated graphics.

so many test and gaming benchmarks shows the 5600G Vega 7 iGPU trade blows with the GT 1030, so no
you are wasting precious money on a weak GPU. Also some places the GT 1030 has gone up in price due to the GPU shortage.
also the 5600G is a Zen 3 7nm process CPU so it able to handle the CPU workload better than the 3600 which is a Zen 2 CPU.
I have seen ppl pairing the 5600G with the RTX 360Ti and 3070 and the CPU is not going to bottleneck the GPU.

It’s cool being able to understand almost everything that you guys were talking about in the video. One question though, in Testout ESD was talked about many times in the lessons. Do you guys use the ESD mats and wrist bands to prevent it from harming your hardware? I see a lot of builds where people aren’t using the mats and wrist bands to ground themselves. I know making the room more humid also helps. Would be safe/okay to build a pc without the anti-ESD equipment if the room is humid enough?

You can find nicer 500W EVGA power supplies frequently on sale on Amazon for around $30. Don't buy an aresgame PSU unless there are no better options

I would get a better mobo for the future upgradability. Of course, it will do fine as is, but a better motherboard would avoid some headaches later down the line. I cheaped out on the mobo once, never again. You don't have to go for the really expensive ones, but something just a bit better would do nicely. A cheaper case could be bought since it doesn't really matter which case you pick as long as it can fit all the parts you may want in the future and as long as it has decent airflow. You don't want to buy one of the flimsy office PC cases that is very short and barely has any holes for air intake. Versa H18 is a good case, though, and not that expensive. However, you may get lucky with second-hand cases because they tend to go cheaper than even the cheapest new cases.

It would be interesting to see how much would 6500xt improve performance of this computer (since this is only budget card available for "normal" prices). It would also interesting to see could you "squeeze" i3-10100f+h410+6500xt into $500 budget build.

Constructive feedback subscriber request: Just about EVERY tech video build review/suggestions I have seen, from any tech news channel, is on "BUDGET" or "VALUE" or "SMALLEST POSSIBLE" - BUILDS. Can we PLEASE see some "TOP OF THE RANGE" and "NO BUDGET LIMIT" - BUILD suggestions/reviews? What is the top of the range cutting edge, with the best possible performance, HUGE case, unbelievable custom loop water cooling, etc.. that is possible at this time? How about some 8K 120FPS+ gaming?

It's easy to fix CPU pins vs motherboard pins. I wouldn't like that idea. Personal preference but that's me in my self absorbed world

this is cool but if your planning using a system like this on e-sports titles . This does get gt 1030 levels of performance but your talking anything slightly demanding 720p all low.Your better off getting some dell optiplex with a 4th gen i5 and a 4gb rx 470 for around 300 dollars total and double the performance. But there is no real upgrade path to old optiplex like that.IMO this is a good idea if your planning on future upgrading but not if your looking to start playing something like dying light 2 or Doom or anything unless you like 720p.Dying light 2 on a dedicated gt 1030 barely manages 20 fps on 720p all low and with FSR on it makes it look like a ps1 game

      ~$100 for i3. $25-$35 for ram. Over $300 for 1650. I'd say maybe a 6500xt for $200-$250 might have been a better choice.

Would that cpu be at least decent with a 750ti? I have the 750ti but paired with a Athlon 3000g. I’m getting ready to upgrade my setup but want to keep the old rig for a gift for my cousin. Would the 5600g and the 750ti be enough to run the newer cods (even at a lower resolution he probably won’t know the difference)
