My most recent budget build came out to $230.
    i5 3470
    B75 mobo
    R9 280x
    8Gb DDR3
    Vetroo aRGB cooler
    aRGB strip
    500W EVGA Bronze psu
    Montech Flyer aRGB case
    Liteon 128gb ssd
    WD 1tb HDD
I managed to build this under $200 since I was given the CPU and RAM.

@@vise2408 I built it for the sake of building more so than for gaming, so I haven't played a ton on it, but it's definitely a low-medium (more on the low end) 1080p PC. I've gotten like 30-50 fps in most of the less demanding games. I'm not talking like AAA titles.

@@Rakyyy I look for "broken" parts. The motherboard has a "locked bios" If you hit enter you get right in. The 280x "no longer works on long gaming sessions" typically just means it needs new thermal paste and pads. I got it for $50, cleaned it up, took the thermal flakes off of the gpu die and replaced them with paste and it works great. Price to performance, I think I wound up with a winner. And to answer your question, eBay. Way too much time on eBay

1st) the gpu is actually a decent card its just a really big cpu bottleneck

I looked on Ebay in Germany for some processors, used of course, one example, used Ryzen 3 3100 costs exactly as new 10th Gen i5. There is no new Ryzen under 100€, even for new Athlon 3000g you need to spend aprox 120 € and for that money you can buy 10th Gen i3 and 8GB DDR4 in dual channel. It's seems, I will have to use my PC built around FX8320e for at least till next Christmas....

It performs similar to my FX8320 and Radeon HD 7950 3GB. At least there's an upgrade path with your build unlike mine. My PC only cost $80 to complete since the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and GPU were given to me so I can't complain.

If you get this same GPU (RX 460 2 GB) you would have much better FPS in lot of games. For example you could play games like Sekiro at 1080p med with 30-40 fps . Also, debloat your Win 10, there are instructions on the net.

God it pains me to see them run the 24pin under the motherboard. The front io connectors are in my opinion the only acceptable thing to run underneath a motherboard.

It should be compatable and the vrm should be able to handle it as it has the same power usage as the cpu they are showing in the vid.
