That was a good job you did man I've been checking out different videos to see how to do it it seems like you and another guy got a damn pack I appreciate the tip thank you keep up the good work
If you want a black bow tie, or any color, a cheap and easy way is buy vinyl adhesive backed sheets that you lay over the emblem and then cut along the outline bow tie. Worked great on my Equinox.
@@coolv03 Price is cheap. Results are excellent. NEver peeled over 4 years. Doesn't chip like paint. Beats that awful Chevy gold. Its the same stuff they wrap cars with.
Will that bow tie fit on the 2020 Silverado crew 1500 and if does can you tell me the part number so that I can order please. It looks easy hope I can do it. :)
Does anyone know if this way will work for removing the small bowtie in the grill of a 2020 silverado. My new black bowtie looks to have similar clips on it.
@@jeffro11203 awesome. I've changed all my other chrome emblems to black the other day and my new black bowtie just showed up today. Gonna change it tomorrow. Thanks for the information.
Yeah, I tried with mine and it broke one of the clips. Went super slow too, the right side was easy but the left one would not come out, then it snapped. Idk what to do now. It came with two square metal things though so I may be able to use those to secure it from behind? Idk
Just bought a 2019 Chevy Blazer I want to customize a little. That was way easier than I expected! Thanks
That was easy! Thought I had to take the whole grill off lol. Thanks
Well, this vid certainly has saved me a ton of time. I got a black tie coming to me on Monday.
Very helpful! Quick and to the point but informative! Thank you so much!
Appreciate the tutorial - knew you’d be good when I saw we share the same last name - lol.
Great tutorial. I watched a couple of others & the guys got it done but also destroyed their original which I don’t feel like doing. 👍🏽😘

Thanks!!! I thought I was going to have to take the whole grille out!!!
Bro, nice video. Less than three minutes and did it one handed. Well done.
Thanks Jeff! Was looking for a quick tutorial before starting mine. I’m accident prone and my luck would’ve broken a clip haha.
Took me 2 minutes to pop off, thanks for the video
The Black looks the best. Wow

@@Packer1290 I know what it is I've seen it. Don't want that finish. Not natural to the rest of the truck. For $45 you can get original equipment.
$45? LOL….I’ll stay with the gold
So I just did this and used my library card as my tool. Popped right off and the new one popped right on!
Worked perfectly, Thanks! Now on to the back... ugh!
Great video 👍 I just did mine front and back on my Suburban it was easy to do.
Best video yet,i'll try it your way!
Cool you did it with one hand holding the camera
Awesome. I wonder why other video's show the grill being removed.
The like the gold bow tie then the black one .. I got the black one for sale too
Thank you so much! About to try this now!
Thank you! Was scared I would have to remove grille
Looks good to me, and Faster than hyperdip…
Did this on my Colorado. It was not that easy, but it came off. One clip broke off the original bow tie but nothing on the grille broke
That was easy man thanks for this video very helpful
Nice truck too bro
Thanks for the awesome video it helped me out
You are awesome, it worked just like you said, thank you.
Good video. Thanks big guy.👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
where did u get the black bowtie?
Awesome job
Awesome. Thank you
Left side is easier to do if you slide a credit card in there first to give you some leverage
Awesome job. Just gotta hold your tongue just right and the old one will eventually pop loose. Ha. 👍😊
Thanks dude
Thank you!
How about spray painting the emblem??
Great video
Very helpful thanks
Very useful thanks !
Thanks
I think if u don’t have that kit that he has I think u can still use a flat head screw driver to take off the emblem
I bet that would work. I've even seen it done with an old credit card.
Great video.. Where did you buy the emblem from?
I bought it direct from Chevy
More of a "Care card, than a Race card." But, "Black is beautiful!" 😂
Race=Care
Where did you get the bow tie?
Thank you
Just use an old gift card or credit card type card. Took like 10 seconds to pull off!!
Anyone else get bothered that hes just throwing stuff on the hood? 😅.
Where did you a bow tie at im trying to find the one for a 2015
Same thing for the tailgate?
🙌🏾
Quick question, will this work with a 2021 Tahoe?
I don't see why not. It should be the same idea. Let me know!
@@jeffro11203 it worked, the whole front bumper had to come off 😳
Will this method work on a 2018 Chevy Cruze as well?
It should work the same way. Try it out and let me know!
Does anyone know if this is the same for the 2022 models
Well this work the same with the 2020 silverado
It should work the same way
Where did you order the new black bowtie emblem from?
I ordered it directly from Chevy, but you can find decent ones on Amazon as well
How much you paid ?
Would this be the same for an equinox?
I'm pretty sure its the same setup. My wife has an Equinox
why is all the stuff sat on the hood?? Good way to scratch the paint.

I ordered mine directly from Chevy, but you can probably find them on Amazon as well.
Where did you order the black bowtie emblem from????? Did they have red?
Is that the same for the small black bow tie on a 20/20 customs?
No
Why not just mask and paint the gold one black with some satin Krylon?
Wash that thing
Great video. However 2 minuted too long.
