I have been enjoying this program, but I have a hard time listening to the complaints and desires from the current local residents. There is complaints that they don't have a local grocery store or a place to buy clothing within walking distance, however they don't want the entire area to be packed full of businesses and housing. If you want to have such amenities close by there has to be enough residents to make the investment of such stores feasible. They don't want their view of the Station blocked by Parking garages, but where are all the workers for the building going to park. They want affordable housing for what would be considered low income citizens in the area, but the cost of building new housing or refurbishing old housing cost money which must be recouped. Perhaps adding some parks will help with the fear of density but it will still likely become denser than many would like. It is already a huge win for the areas residents that their property values are skyrocketing and their homes that they could not give away before if they wanted to are now very sought after. It is a give and take with anything in life. I feel that some middle ground may be able to be had, but the requests of all of the current citizens may not be feasible or reasonable.
