Right? This is fricking hilarious. I always loved Linkara's side characters when they played side parts in a review and its so rare we get it. I'm down for this month, and I was supposed to be taking a long break from AT4W until storyline stuff starts again. Turns out no, I am not.
Could be worse.could have a reality warping God based on a videogame glitch, looming over you and could easily snuff you out of existence when it wants....but won't for crap and giggles
The only logic I could imagine for the vampire army being able to enter the workshop would be that Gloria, as their mole, gave invite to Dracula's forces. I mean she'd have to be in contact somehow but I know it's still a loophole.
So I commented the other day to say that I wasn't going to be watching until you picked up the storyline, but still loved your work and would binge when storyline stuff started coming out. You actually replied, apologizing for that, and I hope you saw my reply to that, that an apology isn't necessary, that life happens, and I'm genuinely just a fan who loves your show and wanted you to know I'd be back. Well, apparently even thinking about your show again in a big way meant that the next time I wanted for something to watch or to listen to, I checked out one episode. Then another, and another, and yeah, I'm binging the backlog since the last time I watched. But in addition to that I saw this drop and I just had to watch and... I'm loving it. I love these extras, these sides, these goofy characters and costumes and plots, and I don't care if it's a big storyline or a small gag for the christmasween thing, I'm down for this!
So who else has fought Dracula in media? Let's see, so far there's been Van Helsing, Santa Claus, Batman (twice), The Wolfman, Frankenstein's Monster. Anybody else?
5:52 You joke, but that was literally a plot point in *The Unsleeping City.* St.Peter and Lucifer started using Santa's Naughty/Nice list to help with their job.
I feel like its gonna get resolved by the new year, but there is something oddly funny about Moarte just sticking around constantly trying to pivot back to Horror comics no matter what the topic is.
Damn Dracula get into a lot of evil boat based shenanigans. This yacht, the Demeter, that Royal Navy Aircraft Carrier in Hellsing Ultimate. It's almost like it's recurring motif for him.
Ever since I saw his reviews of the Woolworths comics on the Christmas DVD (which overall was awesome, BTW), the day when Moarte finally discovered what Christmas is has been eagerly anticipated. Much like with that new Superman trailer, I was not disappointed! Here's hoping one day he can enjoy the Holiday on his own terms. Maybe you should show him Gremlins, Ninjadead Men, Krampus, Black Christmas, Jack Frost, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Seeing the King of Halloween ultimately go back to his own Holiday instead of Christmas may just lift his spirits yet! Also, so wait, Dracula's plan was to invoke The Santa Clause?
That's an interesting comic and for the most part delivered well on a pretty neat enough crossover concept you'd figure would have happened before, but yeah, I gotta admit the plot took a strong nosedive between angel betrayal and vampire Santa turning the whole North Pole evil. The sequel hook doesn't really save it either, in my opinion.
You know, I think Moarte could get more on-board with Christmas if he knew how lousy with ghosts and Krampuses and caroling Welsh horse skeletons the holidays tend to be~
Also, it's a shame it was left as backstory, because vampires vs. the Tooth Fairy would be an amazing thing to see. They go in for a bite and - bam! Their fangs are stolen, and they're choking on quarters.
Lowkey surprised yoyr Chrismas intro wasn't changed to exclude calling out specific comic artists. But I understand it being used so sporadically it might not be cost-efficient.
I'm glad it hasn't changed I like this song, and while I have gotten use to the new theme I still like the first much better, especially the lines, "Coins, robots, amazons, and trucks." So if it does change I hope we don't lose the line, "Ffor the kind of comic books that would turn Santa's elves into common crocks."
1. What makes you think Linkara would be able to get close enough with that intention to even try? 2. Linkara used it as a shield once against Mirror Margaret's magic gun. Fire isn't going to really do much. 3. To paraphrase the Grudge 2 - "This is not about a box."
excellent attention to detail on Drac's hunchback minion--Fritz is actually what the "original" Igor was named in Universal's first _Frankenstein_ movie, and it was only later in the series that Bela Lugosi played the first character of that type actually be NAMED "Igor" (technically--it was Ygor with a Y :P)
I know it's a bit but Halloween is no joke the bulwark preventing Christmas from seeping in ever earlier. Me I like the Nightmare Before Christmas approach to combine Halloween and Christmas. We wish you a scary Christmas and a haunted new year!
Honestly I'm with Moarte, Christmas's is worse that the borg it just keeps taking more time. It's even worse here in Australia because halloween isn't big down here
16:34 funnily enough, i actually read the entire _Lord of the Rings_ trilogy for the first time earlier this year and i never actually noticed the alleged scene where Tolkien spends a page describing a leaf :P
if all Sanat movies were canon to a single time line Santa would be amazing ! Some one needs to get on that. I wonder if the skill is a reference to The Mari Lwyd ( s a wassailing folk custom found in South Wales tradition that entails the use of an eponymous hobby horse which is made from a horse's skull mounted on a pole and carried by an individual hidden under a sheet?
Holy shit with all these MST3K refs I wanna believe this is canon to all those Santa Stories, meaning The Devil was one speed dial away from Dracula and Droppo coulda drop shipped Tor, temporarily suspended out of Toy Mode because he has to save Christmas and kill some monsters...
Hey, Moarte Saturnalia, the predecessor for Chrismas by the Romans, was a festival for Saturn [who got synchronized with Cronus as in the diety most likely known for eating his kids ]. Some of the traditions were putting on masks, gambling, cheap gifts like, say, candy perhaps, and foolishness, so you might be able to get some Halloween esc stuff through that. Also, nosferatu is getting a remake and is coming out in theaters on 25 of this month also old saint nick is partly inspired by odin
I'm surprised the Christmas song still goes after creators. Granted, I'm not sticking up for any of those three, but the normal theme song hasn't bashed Brodsky or Liefeld for years.
7:08 Wow first KND and now this? If I had a nickel for every Christmas story that introduced parodies of Marvel characters...... I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice right?
0:32 - 0:36 🤔And horror has no place around Christmas? ☝️🤨Ummmm... Krampus Silent Night, Deadly Night Black Christmas Anna and the Apocalypse Jack Frost Rare Exports Gremlins The Mean One *Countless Christmas Carol adaptations* Better Watch Out Terrifier 3 😂Kidding, Lewis. Like I said, there's no rush with your schedule uploads.
It looks like they were going for a vaguely similar tone to the original Ninja Turtles comic, where part of the joke is how straight they play it, but it comes across too jarring for me. That said, I really like the smooth, versatile artwork. Also, I found the argument with Moarte dragged on too long, to be honest. The overall video was still entertaining though, so I have to give it a "like" on principle. Merry Christmas!
Hi. Its Ed Power, tge writer. AMA. Thanks.
Hi Ed. How did you choose who to give the major battles, like Hyde or Wintry, as opposed to off panel defeats, like Mike or Nick Frosty?
What’s your favorite depiction of Dracula in media? Could be movies, comics, anything. Personally, I’m partial to Alucard from Hellsing.
Can I humbly request Santa Versus The Aliens of Kardashia?
Hey, really cool looking book! Excellent work, man!
Not actually a question, I just think Melissa DeJesus did a great job on the artwork.
Not only did Linkara miss his Halloween episode, he also missed the SIXTEEN ANNIVERSARY CLONE SAGA REVIEW!!!! The least he could do is appease Moarte.
It happens when your schedule slips.
I am kinda hoping he either circles back in Jan/Feb to stuff he missed this year or does two Clone Saga videos next October
@@TheCaptainKuhn He is doing secret Origins month in Jan if even what we do have goes according to plan XD
Moarte invading the Linkara ship is the best Christmas present ever.
Linkara and Moarte as a duo during regular reviews is something I didn’t know I needed until I got it
Right? This is fricking hilarious. I always loved Linkara's side characters when they played side parts in a review and its so rare we get it. I'm down for this month, and I was supposed to be taking a long break from AT4W until storyline stuff starts again. Turns out no, I am not.
Let's be honest, being insulted by a snarky, immortal ghoul is nowhere near the worst thing we could be enduring for the next four years.
Could be worse.could have a reality warping God based on a videogame glitch, looming over you and could easily snuff you out of existence when it wants....but won't for crap and giggles
Moarte out here speaking for all us creatures of the night!! Let's have ourselves a scary little Christmas this year!!
We can start by reviewing Skibidi Toilet comics.
And a haunted new year!
The only logic I could imagine for the vampire army being able to enter the workshop would be that Gloria, as their mole, gave invite to Dracula's forces. I mean she'd have to be in contact somehow but I know it's still a loophole.
Yeah. I assumed to get would be assumed. My bad. -Ed Power, the writer.
But why not invite Dracula also?
Looks like we're having a "Nightmare Before Christmas" theme this year, so to speak. Neat. ^_^
So I commented the other day to say that I wasn't going to be watching until you picked up the storyline, but still loved your work and would binge when storyline stuff started coming out. Ah Halloween and Christmas together. Linkara and Morate. Just the way it always should be.
The war on Christmas will not end until Christmas ends its illegal occupation of November.
The slightly anime-inspired design of the characters just make this comic SCREAM early 2000s at me
I would've loved for you to do the review in the green ranger suit
Santa hat *on* the green ranger suit
“An “elf-der” if you will.”
I will not, no.
Actually wether stabbing is in Christmas depends how long you're willing to not bite the candy cane
I feel like Moarte and Nash's friend Space Guy would get along well with their disdain for Kreesemass.
So who else has fought Dracula in media? Let's see, so far there's been Van Helsing, Santa Claus, Batman (twice), The Wolfman, Frankenstein's Monster.
Anybody else?
Buffy.
Zorro in that one comic
King Arthur, Doctor Doom, Moon Knight, Blade, and Alexander Anderson.
Thanks to Marvel Rivals we can officially add Moon Knight to that list
El Santo. Thanks for that information, MST3K!
10:06 [Insert Nightmare Before Christmas clip here]
5:52 You joke, but that was literally a plot point in *The Unsleeping City.* St.Peter and Lucifer started using Santa's Naughty/Nice list to help with their job.
Moarte in a Christmas review? Dog and Cats living together, mass hysteria!
19:26 yea Lady Dimetrescu was very embraced when RE village came out.
Santa vs Dracula has me immediately interested.
Thanks. -Ed Powe, the writer.
I feel like its gonna get resolved by the new year, but there is something oddly funny about Moarte just sticking around constantly trying to pivot back to Horror comics no matter what the topic is.

Does that mean that this comic technically counts as Tim Allen vs Nicholas Cage?
@@williamgreci8219 ...That is amazingly funny. XD
@@clarktooncrossing3975 Thanks.
3:27 'BOUT TIME WE GOT THE X-MAS THEME BACK!!!!!!
I about to head to bed early and then I saw this pop up on my feed and I said yay!
Same
That's an interesting comic and for the most part delivered well on a pretty neat enough crossover concept you'd figure would have happened before, but yeah, I gotta admit the plot took a strong nosedive between angel betrayal and vampire Santa turning the whole North Pole evil. 14:48 Some zombies hate theater, huh? Well I’m glad we have ones that like being idols instead.
Tis the season for a holly jolly Ollie!
Was referring more to Zombie Land Saga’s Franchouchou, but Ollie works too! Fitting cause she’s so red.
I bet Pollo and the Thanksgiving Turkey would get along
You know, I think Moarte could get more on-board with Christmas if he knew how lousy with ghosts and Krampuses and caroling Welsh horse skeletons the holidays tend to be~
Now I'm curious how Moarte fits into Arbor Day
The real plot twist is that this comic is actually a prequel to Billy & Mandy Save Christmas.
Also, it's a shame it was left as backstory, because vampires vs. the Tooth Fairy would be an amazing thing to see. They go in for a bite and - bam! Their fangs are stolen, and they're choking on quarters.
"To be the Claus, you have to kill the Claus."
Man, this prequel to The Santa Clause is weird.
Well... you covered an Evil Dead Christmas comic and Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash took place around the holidays so... screw it. It fits.
To be the Claus you have to kill the Claus? Is that a reference to the Tim Allen movie?
Yes. -Ed Power, the writer.
If I had a nickel for every time I saw Santa turned into a vampire, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.
Linkara and Moarte are truly one of the greatest duo's ever
16:39 Holy crap the elves are being attacked by Vampire Boomhauer
Lol. No. That's just a donor. Thanks. -Ed Power, the writer.
Okay now i wanna see Moarte be a recurring character for the new story arc!!
just make Moarte read A Christmas Carol and I think the prevalence of ghosts would satisfy him.
Where is Lee Majors when you need him?
I'm pretty disappointed _The Night the Reindeer Died_ isn't a real movie.
@ we all are, Ghidorah. We ALL are.
You can at least do on purim its at least like Halloween
Moarte is truly the gift that keeps giving
Lowkey surprised yoyr Chrismas intro wasn't changed to exclude calling out specific comic artists. But I understand it being used so sporadically it might not be cost-efficient.
Every year I say I'm going to do that and every year I fall behind or can't afford it that time. @_@
I recall him saying that it's more of just a "I haven't gotten around to doing it yet"
To be fair saying Frank Miller is off the nice list isn't a bad thing to say against him and fits well with the holiday.
I'm glad it hasn't changed I like this song, and while I have gotten use to the new theme I still like the first much better, especially the lines, "Coins, robots, amazons, and trucks."
So if it does change I hope we don't lose the line, "Ffor the kind of comic books that would turn Santa's elves into common crocks."
This Christmas is gonna be so...groovy.
Preach Moarte!
An "Elfder"... FINALLY! Now I know who Burgress Meredith was in Santa Claus The Movie.
Teach Muerte about saturnalia I think he'd appreciate it more, gifting hearts and debauchery
12:14 Aw, she's adorable!
16:26 Cutie.
13:38 This warmed my poor, withered Wrestling fan soul
I am digging this storyline so hard. XD
whats the native folk lore creature you mention at 10:34
We need more Santa's that lead LOTR style elves
Was not expecting a House of the Dead 2 reference, I dig it.
Wait if this is happening then a nightmare before Christmas might be happening sooner than we think
A question for Linkara about lore:
Have you ever tried burning the long box of the damned?
1. What makes you think Linkara would be able to get close enough with that intention to even try?
2. Linkara used it as a shield once against Mirror Margaret's magic gun. Fire isn't going to really do much.
3. To paraphrase the Grudge 2 - "This is not about a box."
well now I want that promised part two of the story.
Sweet Christmas
Santa Claus... There Can Be Only One...
And here I thought this going to be Marvel's Dracula and Santa.

Linkara nightmare before Christmas
Well not to self never ignore Halloween otherwise Morarte will haunt you. But can't wait to see what happens next this looks interesting.
i think the skull was done for a Krampus motif
I wonder if the creator of this comic were channeling Billy and Mandy since Ms. Claus is a vampire.
Honestly I'm with Moarte, Christmas's is worse that the borg it just keeps taking more time. It's even worse here in Australia because halloween isn't big down here

18:32 are you talking about the Wendigo? Why avoid saying its name?
It is actually deeply disrespectful to say its name. I talked about it more in my last mistakes list.
20:04 yeah that deal went as well as the kinship between the Namekians and their albino brethren
Did Rudolph's battle ended with Kurt Kobain's final words? That IS dark
Somehow less bloody than The Batman vs Dracula.

I think someone might need to tell him about krampus.
Are we going to have a hellraiser 2 episode where moarte is absorbed into linkara as the human holding back pinhead?
Did somebody say Merry Day of Logs?
oh this exists
16:39 Wait, Boomhauer from King of the Hill?
Animal skull could be a Yule goat or krampus thing.
Wonder how Krampus would do against Dracula?
28:14 Please tell Adam he's an asshole

Based purely on the name, I thought this would be an edgy 90s comic.
