So this came in today and I installed it, but it wasn't so easy. The mirror cover was really hard to pry open, way harder than in the video. When I managed to get the cover opened, the left mirror was as shown, but the right mirror on my car was different, there is some device in plastic housing and because the DMP light box is bigger than the original, it just wouldn't fit in there. I had to saw the corners of the light box and sand off the plastic inside the mirror. After doing that and trying a couple of times it finally went in. But it works good and looks awesome. Hopefully it will last.
What was the make, model and year or your car?
I had the same problem on the right side. I took a very long time moving around, but I had to force it in. 2018 E300

I respect you for removing the AMG lights, I highly dislike people who modify their stock cars with AMG parts to make it “seem” like an AMG
Well. You need to understand that there’s such thing as an “AMG packaged” car now. My C300 has an “AMG” package from the factory. Which includes sport wheels, sport steering wheel, sport brakes, AMG floor mats, and some other sport stuff. I personally think it’s dumb cause in my opinion, a true AMG has the V8 engine. And that’s why I left the badge off.
But if someone has an “AMG packaged” car and wanna wear the AMG badge. Go ahead. But don’t get mad when people mock you for not being a real AMG.
Thanks for the instructions man. I had them installed by a foreign auto repair shop. The lights worked for 3 weeks then went out.
DMP car design’s lights work amazing and they come with a warranty. So I’m not sure where you bought yours from but it’s probably bad quality or the shop didn’t use the right resistor and that’s why the lights burned out so quick.
just did this on my 2015 C63s. Easy quick mod. Had to dremmel out some plastic on the RH side mirror internals though. Still not too bad.

Can this be done in a 2017 .. my mirror doesn’t have a light at the bottom at all. I can see the cut out outline but there is no light there.. like it was an option but not installed

You mean sequential lights? That requires a whole entire rear tail lamp that has that style turn signal built in. Unless there’s a retrofit kit out in the market that I’m not aware of. 🤷🏻♂️

What type of resistor should I buy? I purchased a 1ohm resistor set for the projectors, but they are still blinking after welding and installing.

Hi got the item, Left side installed no issues, however the right side interior is slightly different, the new puddle light does not have enough clearance to slide into place How did you do it? it was impossible, the new puddle is taller than the stock one. for the right side mirror the space above is much less than left side .
I forced it in, now my mirror folds and unfolds slower than the left side

Great video. I have a couple questions before I take on this project. How long does it take without the resistor. The lights I found said no resistor required. Should I also be at all concerned removing the rear view cover. I heard what you said, but the video really doesn't describe the removal in enough detail to make me comfortable.

From factory, if you have “surround lighting” turned on in the instrument cluster settings, you will be able to have the Mercedes light display on the road while driving under 15km/hr

Can’t. That’s not something you can easily add on.
It comes only with the keyless go/entry option, and it breaks down a lot because water gets in the led lights.

Should be the sane install. Link in video description. The options are different lights. It’s only 1 style per set.

Hey Flexx, How hard was it to install for passenger side? it was very hard me to to install this mod. had to cut part of the light (top part) to make it fit on passenger side.

You need to check under your mirror!! If the light is a circle then no, if it is a oblong shape then YES!!!!
Hey Alex, I know that the puddle lights help out the 360 cameras at night by turning on and providing better visibility. Do these still provide a decent bit of light for the cameras?
Don’t know. I don’t have a 360 cam so I can’t really experience that.
This fits but you have to kalibrate the 360 degree camera new

I brought one for e300 2017 Mercedes-Benz but it comes on and off. Sometimes it work and most of the time it doesn't. I had a shop put it on and it's not working. What is he doing wrong?

Anything you do to your car can void the warranty if it’s found out that the mod caused an issue to the car.

Proper size resistor will limit the voltage to correct for the LED light. Without it, LED will burn really quickly.

Super bright. If they aren’t bright, then you need to contact them for a replacement cause yours is probably defective then.

I just installed them, while they look great at night is there a. Way for the puddle lights to be on during the day too?
Puddle lights only come on at night unless you block your light sensor on your windshield to trick the systems it’s nighttime.
@@TheFlexxGarage cheers dude, it was more for the side indicator lights, i installed then ones you did that have a blue animation but in the daytime they dont animate, just at night
Yes. And those are connected to the puddle light wires and will only work like the puddle lights. You can only trick the system if you want the puddle lights to have power which also powers that indicator during the day to animate.

Do the lights overlap at any point? I understand that the side mirrors light up when locking and unlocking. But by the time you open the door, do they turn off and the only active ones become the door ones? Thanks for the time.

Dang bro, $120 plus another $20 for shipping and you have to solder? Do they not pre-install the resistor because it only flashes on w205?
The flashing doesn’t affect all c-class (as I mentioned in the AMG light install video). So there’s no point in adding the resistor for cars in countries that don’t have the issue. I know I’m the US, flashing is an issue.

On my 2017 Mercedes benz c300 on the mirrors of doors my mirrors do not have the Square cut out for the door lights .
Can I cut the Square out with Dermal, or will there not be wiring to connect it to ? This would be for the side mirror puddle courtesy lights .
No wiring exist.

flex also has a video switching out the lights at the bottom of the doors with logo lights...looks pretty good if your mirrors arent an option.

You need to ask DMP car design. They will set you up with the right one for your car but your car has to have puddle lights in the mirror. If it doesn’t, then there’s no wires to power up the light.

Simple google search my man. All 2008-2014 c-class is W204, C205, S204. All 2015+ is W205 for the 4 door, C205 for the coupe, and S205 for the wagon.

Flexx. I'm doing this to my c450 w205 amg and it doesn't fit as easily as yours.. DMP car design sent me a video showing me I needed to pop the mirror off and I'm terrified I'm going to break the mirror.... lmao

got a 1300w sub in my bedroom xD
I added a JL Audio box to mine C450. The box comes with a JL Audio 12” sub and JL 500watt amp. Basically you run the amp and sub the interior trim and there’s a hold below the in cabin filter under the hood amd that’s where you run the power cable. The rest is pretty easy to figure out. I ran a sub control knob to under the steering wheel, because there’s no adjustment in the factory unit to control a sub.

I don’t know what to say. I was able to squeeze mine in. It wasn’t as easy as the driver side but it did fit after I forced it in. If you bought it from DMP, send them a message. I think they have a video on how to remove some stuff so it can install easy.

No. But you can contact DMP to see if they have it for the 2014 year
I just installed this product, it's almost perfect but the white lights are not the same bright white as your headlights, they are more a dull white so it doesn't match, kinda disappointing. Still pretty cool

How do you know if your car is AMG because on all 4 of my wheels it says AMG
if you have a V8 under the hood. That's a true AMG.
However C300 did come with a sport package that includes AMG wheels and floor mats but that's about it.
