Simgot EM6L REVIEW

- If you like the Hexa but want something that's just a little more turned up, Simgot's new EM6L might be the ticket. It's a 5-driver hybrid IEM, and after a couple weeks listening to it, I've got some thoughts.

Love how detailed is you showing the iems, rotating and fitting them into your ears, this makes a great difference.
🤙
am choosing between these and the hexa, appreciate the insights on both glad i found this
Thanks mark for the great review 🙂
Just ordered these at my first iem. I am pretty excited!
Thanks Mark. Enjoyed your review live or prerecorded.
The Hexas are my current IEM of choice. Sounds like I might have to buy a set of these for a well controlled, brighter tuning to compliment my Hexas.
I wouldn’t say it’s brighter, but maybe more extended. I guess it depends on the source and how the cable measures. It’s sensitive to impedance. I find it warm and lush, but not dark. Could also be unit variance, eartips used (I use s and s tips) or insertion depth. It definitely has twinkles and sparkles, but still smooth. Normally you need a treble boost for that in this price range.
i really enjoy the em6l. totally different iem from my collection
I autoequed simgot ea500 to your em6l squig. 500 flows much more fluidly now to my ears.. Without that jittery harshness
Thanks for getting around to these. They seem like a pretty good addition in their price class. Curious what they did to make the treble graph so smoothly.
Yeah, with insertion depth changes you can see a peak trying to form and then getting stuffed at 8k, seems intentional. Supernova does similar.
@@SuperReview Was gonna ask if you thought the lack of a resonance peak contributed to the softer transients, but I went back and watched the Supernova review, and that set doesn't seem to have such problems.
I'm new to the channel! I have a question, what do you think is the best iem in terms of Technicality and Tonality up to 150 dollars? I have ER2XR in mind, do you think there is better than this?
Love my em6l iems, paired up to my Btr7 with an aiderlot qdc balanced cable they sound fantastic, prefer them to the hexa.
Yeah way better than Hexa imo. Maybe my new favorite $100 iem. Aful p5 is a slight step up.
@@Hijynx87I'm more concerned with the micro and Macrodynamics on both. Which one of the two does it better, P5 or EM6L?
@@Hijynx87could you do a short comparison? Is the Aful P5 worth the extra cost or is it marginal?
@@Ancient88Wisdom the em6l is warmer sounding and not as detailed. I like the bass on the p5 more so. P5 is more nuetral with a bass boost, em6l being a warm lush Harmon
Hi Mark. I'm indecisive between EM6L and Quintet. Quintet is double the price to the EM6L, but is it really worth it?
03:00 “ they’re really finger print sensitive,….” 😂, Millennials, no words needed.😶😅
Thin and bright is the opposite from what I hear, maybe it’s highly affected by impedance?
Thanks for the review. I have the ew200 and I love it. Is this a direct upgrade from its brother? Some also say this can compete with quintet. Is it the same in your ears?
It’s nothing like the quintet, this is a warmer smoother set. Quintet is high energy with a wow factor. I think they compliment each other perfectly.
I would say this is an upgrade, but it’s warmer than the ew200. Ew200 has a much better build though and fits better out of the box. I think the em6l is too small for the qdc connection if you have larger ears, so I had to put a flush .78mm cable on it to get a better and more comfortable fit. Dunu s and s tips worked the best for me also. Now it’s my favorite around $100 alongside the Olina se.
I really love these things, build quality is meh. I use dunu s and s tips and a flush 2 pin cable for a better fit.
Maybe I haven't read all the comments here, but let me ask, are there any eartip suggestions for the EM6L? If I may ask for 2-3 suggestions for eartips.
Thank You
do EW200 please!
How's this when compared to kiwi melody
But is it an IEM that exists?
this one is also good for fps games. like warzone apex.
do req it for female vocals and classic?
Poggies!
How does the EM6L compare to the Tin Hifi C2?
Simgot em6l or simgo ea500 lm in sound quality?
Simgot using more than a single DD setup?! 😮😲😱😏
I need a adapter between my pc and the simgot maybe a adapter length of 1-2 metre because the cable is to short for me, do i get quality lost because of the length adapter
I'll be at Canjam for my 3rd year in a row. I'll say hello if I see you.
🤘
Nozzles really do suck. Metal part came off of mine, so it went back. Hard to get eartips to fit and stay on, no lip on the nozzle. The sound was pretty good though. QDC connector was okay,no problems with that. This set should be closer to $80 imo. Fix those nozzles, good buy!
Did you buy it from amazon us ?
YES!
I use SIMGOT EM6L and I am very satisfied. It is a great pleasure to listen to music with him. I can easily understand the location of the players while playing the game. I want to upgrade to a higher model. What do you recommend I buy? I have a budget of $400. I used Truthear Zero, but the sounds were too complicated, I didn't like it at all and returned it. I hope I was able to explain my taste in sound.
INTUAURA Splendorll very good for fps games
Hey mark, what tips are you using with the EM6L and hexa in the video?
Spinfit CP360.
I've endgamed (fingers crossed) on Softears Volume over the past couple months, and have been looking for a beater set that I don't mind taking outside and losing as much. The graph for EM6L struck me as pretty close... Would you say the two have similar tonality?
I am not particularly excited about this style of 2pin connector tho, I've seen the plastic crack on both the cable and the iem after enough use.
I think someone who likes the Volume will also like the EM6L, yeah.
How about Ew200
How does if fare against the "Juicy " 41T?
Juicy is more laid back, textured, and overall satisfying IMO. I've been really loving the Juzear.
that connector is a deal breaker for me i dont understand why 2pin recessed connector isn't the standard with of course IEM recessed connector in the shell
from what i can see this is the ideal connectors
Great breakdown of the iem but is it worth $30 more than the Hexa tho?
I prefer Hexa overall personally, but what's worth it depends on your preferences.
@@SuperReview why ? I mean what preferences or what hexa do better than em6l?
What is your take on tangzu heyday hbb... from recording it was the best in my opinion tone wise against even the mest mk2 and lots of tops iems..
It's quite good. Wish it was in a shell I liked more.
That is one I still need to try, but I don’t think it’s different enough from what I’ve got. Tbh I should probably wait a year or two before I get anything else haha
how EM6L compare vs apple airpods pro? i use airpods pro ,does sounds better simgot if i listen only mp3 music?
IEM is better than TWS if you want true sounds quality, though you need perfect seal (eartips and depth insertion) and also maybe use DAC to hear your true IEM's potential
I'm new to iems and just received these. Sounds really good but my ear starts to hurt 2-3 hrs in to gaming. Any suggestions on eartips to get or do i just need to wear it more to get used to them?
If you're not used to wearing IEMs, might just need to get used to them. Hard to say. I don't commonly change ear tips to improve comfort, just fit stability.
will you review the hisenior okavango?
Don't think so.
What is your preferance between fiio fh3 vs simgto em6l
FH3
how does this sound against OG Aria? Like it's similar tuning?
Aria is warmer and bassier sound, EM6L is brighter and livelier, more contrasty.
How is the situation with the notchless nozzles? Does the eartips slip off while taking them out of your ears?
Hasnt happened so far with the stock ear tips
Not been an issue for me.
Not with my dunu s and s. It’s wide enough that it’s snug. Maybe pull up on your ears when pulling out just in case. The nozzle shell (the metal cover) came off when I first got it trying to put sednafit light shorts on. Little glue and it’s brand new. I haven’t heard of this happening to anyone else, so maybe the adhesive person fell asleep with my right iem.
@@Hijynx87just curious are you they guy who complained about it in amazon reviews?
In terms of bass heavynrss ...is em6l better or legato?
pw.squig.link/?share=IEF_Comp_Target,7hz_Legato,Simgot_EM6L
Hi What is your prefernce vs Moondrop kato
I prefer KATO.
Would this set complement my Truthear Zero Red? Something to complement the neutral tuning.
I don't know what you mean by complement. Are you looking for multiple versions of neutral, looking for something very different?
It’s an upgrade to the zero I’d say. Different enough though. I think something like the quintet would be a better pairing with the red, as they are different. Quintet is high energy bright and detailed with excellent bass. Red is more relaxing. Em6l is smooth and lush, great for long listening and gaming.
@@SuperReview I meant as a contrast or different to the neutral Project Red.
@@Hijynx87 I would take different enough. I guess that is my push to getting it. Thanks!
Do any guitar players have experience with this IEM for live use? I'm getting ready to buy my first set of IEMs, hoping to stay at a max of around $100, since I don't know if I'll like using them. Also considering CCA C12, BASN MMCX/Bmaster, Truthear Hexa and a few Tin and KZ models. Probably should be a relatively neutral sound, I would imagine.
I don't play guitar, but my assumption is that fit stability will be very important for you -- for that reason I would also consider ThieAudio Legacy 2 and Moondrop May under $100.
Do you have a preference between the Legacy 2 and Hexa, or any of the others I mentioned? I know you're not a musician, but I really like your understanding of these products and your clarity in explanation. I'm starting to teeter from information overload in all my research and just want to make the purchase already! 😂
@@adamalper804 Hexa for sound, easy.
Thanks so much!
I am so sad that my em6l have just died my right ear and now I need to return it
What happened?
it stopped working the right iem just after 2 weeks@@SuperReview
But mark it’s literally your frequency response lmao why not 5 stars
'Cause I like Hexa better, and it's cheaper.
@@SuperReviewsorry man called you Ryan lol Mark what’s your daily driver as of Nov 2023?

simgot EM6 L vs kiwi ears quartet
I want this set so bad but can't I afford it 😓😥😢
What's your price range?
@@SuperReview 20- 50 dollars please
LAN IMO
@@SuperReview please is it an affordable brand in my price range that might sound like the simgot ?
@@princenanaopoku2617EW200 if it costs less than Lan
What’s exactly does tip rolling mean?
Same as cable rolling, it means trying out different types of ear tips and cables.
Throw a bunch of tips on the floor and you roll around in the mess.
The Hex is pretty hard to beat under $100.
Impossible.
@@SuperReview impossible to beat or impossible argument?
@@SileDevilyes
in the uk here, i bought my hexas during recent summer sales, so they cost me £53 (uk GBP). So the 1 thing i would like is indeed better stereo / wider (because this is my preference and seems true for many IEMs, the Chu's previously i found that they felt far too narrow). However on amazon these Simgot EM6L are £100 GBP (so basically double). And from linsoul (without any discount / sales)... then it's £87 GBP.
So +64% price increase here for me. To get the better stereo widening (which i highly would prioritize a lot). Hoping for some future sales / store discounts. Maybe seasonally when it comes around again. And can then jump on them. And sell these Hexa, or otherwise make them a family gift. Would be my ideal upgrade path. Because that still beats spending 2-3x the price (or more) for other, even much higher tiered IEMs. Since the wider stereo is actually all i am missing here. It's really my only desire or further wishes. Everything else sounds great! Even the $20 Chu sounded amazing to me in all other respects.
Not a Hexa fan. I've tried to be, but it just doesn't work out for me.
Those connectors are not good.
Por que?
@@SuperReview They seem durable but I had one break on me. Anything happens on a standard 2 pin and you will probably just need a new cable
Looks cheap ngl
This or Hexa?
For gaming simgot 6l vs simgot 500 ?
I would stop looking for IEMs "for gaming" and start thinking about what specifically you are looking for.
Get hexa for gaming, since gaming needs perfect imaging and pinpoint location you better have IEM that's good in that.
But I still recommend closed back headphones for that, it's just better for gaming
If they're anything like the EW200 then I'm not gonna get it. EW200 sounds way too hot. On certain tracks it sounds like it's about to make my ears bleed. Maybe just classical or new age music, but rock/metal is a no-no.
