If you have a chance you should try to link up with local veteran bloggers in Vietnam and do a collaboration that would probably help the channel get more awareness but so far I love the channel.👍👍🍻🍻🇻🇳🇻🇳
I've seen some of those veteran bloggers. Not sure I want them at my house on Sunday for dinner. I'm ok talking to the small group of you fellas for now. I appreciate the support a great deal!
@@FollowBrando I got you, buddy. The work you put in is really evident. You’re super interesting cat and it’s awesome being able to peek in on your journey.
I had a very poor experience in the store. The owner was very pushy and rude. Made me feel like I was wasting his time because I wouldn’t buy after being there for 10 minutes. I explained my situation. Over the last 8 years I’ve researched extensively as a hobby and have purchased 8 replicas during that time. I explained what models I was looking for and inspected them. I’m narrowed my choice down to two models and said I wanted to think about which one I would purchase and I wasn’t in a rush as I’m in HCM for an extended period of time. He quoted me at least double the price I’ve seen elsewhere and gave me a story about how it’s more expensive because he has to pay off the cops etc. He then dropped the price he went in for the hard sell. I repeated that I wanted to think about which model I wanted first, and he basically told me to get out of the store and he walked off. Quite surprising. While I was in there, a customer said their watch wasn’t working after purchasing it from him 3 days ago. They arranged a replacement, but all felt like they were trying to trap tourists. He may not have believed I was in HCM for an extended stay, so my experience may be different to yours.
I've seen the guys there be pushy like that and it's a bit cringy. I've also seen them be kind of easy to deal with. There are a lot of repeat buyers - Western dudes who visit Saigon regularly - who love the place. It's a shady business for sure but like you, I've figured out generally that you should be able to buy a well-made copy for about $80 - $120.
Great vid Brando! The craftsmanship and detail of those clones are truly incredible. I’ve been to Ben Thanh Market countless times but I would be apprehensive about wearing an expensive watch myself due to the unwanted attention, esp in a Developing Country 😅 Keep up the great work! 🍻⌚️😎
In this particular developing country, every 20 year old Vietnamese kid has a "diamond" crusted Audemars Piguet clone. Plenty of shorter, smaller targets for theft than me here. But in Colombia -no. Thanks for the comment and support.
Good to hear - the guys there will give you a pretty fair deal and replace the watches if something goes wrong, so long as you are here to return it. Thanks for the comment!
I was curious about some other potential video ideas that could be monthly budget and various costs associated with that, and also it is good to learn about traveling in a specific country. Or what's the best method to use a bus or a taxi or grab? And what the cost should be from the airport to perhaps that hotel or barbershop place you had mentioned so that a person would know the approximate cost and not get scammed and even potential scams that might exist in Vietnam or Thailand or wherever you happen to be are popular items that could be potential ideas for videos.
In the next video I'm going to talk to one of my expat friends about his monthly income and budget as an English teacher (not a lot of income or expenses). Mine jumps all over the map, from $1000 usd a month to $10,000. And I'll cover some of that other material (such as what to do on your first day here) in other videos. But answers to your specific questions: Grab always - taxi drivers can be scammy a-holes. Gbab bike if you can stomach the terrifying ride. 200 vnd or $10 from Tan Son Nhat to the bar or most District 1 locations (grab or taxi). Pay for things in stores with prices and on apps until you get your bearings (scams galore in Southeast Asia). And don't marry a woman and buy a house, her dead husband will come back from the grave and take the house from you (best scam here of all! And common). You can live comfortably for $1,500 a month. Anything more should be for bad/fun/exciting ideas like travel, tours and partying. Or fake market shopping!
Looking to buy a high quality Breitling Chronomat. It would be for occasional wear with a suit. Do they make these as Superclones and what would be a good price? Based on what you've seen would the AAA be pretty close?
The superclones sell for around $1,000. You'd want to buy something like that in person. The store in the video will ship watches, but not the more expensive superclones. You could buy it there or at the MBK Market in Bangkok where there are many vendors and most have catalogs of the different watches to order. I would do a bit of homework online about the diferent movements used for these clones in order to make a more educated purchase.
I've flown back to the states with several scattered throughout my luggage. The people who get busted at customs usually have multiple brand new watches in the plastic wrapping and whatnot and look like resellers. If you buy them at this store they can help you ship up to 10 back though.
I used to do that but they told me to stop. They get 2 or 3 walk ins a day from my videos, which is enough. But the online would be buyers ran them to the ground with questions and requests for more photos. If you want to buy a watch or two there are comments on this video about online sellers. If you want to buy in bulk then I could pass that on to the store
@@FollowBrando I only wanted to buy a few watches for myself to add to my 3 exisiting originals as some of the Rolex (Daytona, Pepsi & Daydate) are not possible to buy even with purchase history at my AD and i don't want to buy at insane grey market prices. I'm planning a visit to far east in new year so maybe will just visit the store. Thank you.
@@jedi1love I have seen a lot of serious watch buyers purchase the super clones. Just do your homework on the specific watch model and on what you should be looking for in a super clone. They are very well made for sure.
The old giveaway used to be cheap quartz movements that made them feel cheap and lightweight...now the Chinese copy Valjoux movements make them true mechanical watches and the weight is almost spot on
@@tusoyjote The prices are pretty straightforward: about $200 for the regular copies and $1250 or so for the super clones with discounts of you buy more than one.
Thanks for the good advice. I will be in Saigon next month and will check them out in person.

Love the watch videos a lot. Watching now but I can tell you I'm already happy!
If I have a Mr Beast style contest and give away a copy watch to the most loyal subscriber, you'd be the guy.

So awesome, I was inspired by all your watch episodes so I went to your friends shop in Cho Bến Thành and bought a replica Tissot 1853.
Nice. That's one of the few watches I don't have yet. If there's an issue with it let me know and I'll get you a replacement.
how broke you have to be to buy a faketissot

I would just go without the box. My checked bag always get inspected. They leave me a flyer saying i got searched.
Yeah the box is a bit much. It's a lot of work to make the watch look legit. So much so that you'd get busted at customs.
@@FollowBrando If you wear a fake, then just tell people it's a fake.
Got a Rolex there last year, will be back in a couple of months and probably purchase again

How much it cost?

Is superclone Rolex watches same quality as genuine Rolex. ?
Where is this store located it would be nice to get order it online but if I have to go to get it send me the address please
The Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City. They are the first store through the main front entrance - the South Gate.

Great, which one did you buy? The Hublot? Next time let me know - I can meet you at the store.
