- If you've been watching my videos for a while now you'll know that I prefer reworks over new champions because it's more challenging to fix what's broken than to build something new from scratch. So here's my take on the best reworks in League of Legends!

I liked the rework where they made Nidalee mid get re-released as Zoe
also where they remade vi's ult and gave it to sett
So *that's* why Zoe felt so familiar >_>
True, I recently picked up Zoe and while she is not as stupid as she was on release, I feel guilty enjoying her kit so much. It's so much fun to calculate the angles and posibilities of Q.
Or they rework Sona to the cash cow known as Seraphine
I joined league too late so I didn't get to play mid nidalee but I wish they released a mode to let us rollback the updates to league say 5 or 6 years ago so I could see it in action
The best rework will now always be fiddlesticks. They kept everything that people loved about him while making his theme actually work. close behind is warwick and yorick.
I miss the bouncing crow :(
They manage to keep the whole identity of the kit intact for every champion after reworks, which is amazing. But yes, Fiddlesticks I feel was the one that was the least changed and yet so much has changed, probably because all his abilities do exactly the same thing they did before in a more effective way.
@@Relhio Really all they did was get rid of the part of fiddle everyone hated (his bouncing crows), gave him an e that’s far less impactful but still fine and just overall works better for his kit, took his passive and threw it onto his r (which is all it was used for anyway), gave his q the fear passive for all of his abilities, let him suck off everyone around him, gave him a super ward that can jumpscare you, and gave him a paint job. It’s amazing how much changed with how little they really did.
@@spicytunah8043 suck off everyone around him hehe
I mean sure but they didnt fix any of his issues really, hes a front line mage thats very immobile and squishy and must rely on ambush tactics that can be easily countered with vision.
In terms of thematic Warwick, fiddle, and Pantheon. These 3 are in the top
Actually Fiddle and Warwick both usually go jungle.
@@fischereliassen4370 lmao nice
100% agree. those champs kept the majority of their previous identity
Volihwarmismuo there too, IMO
urgot
I like the new popstar Sona rework. Feel like they really nailed in her kit and aesthetic 👌
I chuckled a bit XD
@@VarsVerum I just found it a little odd they made me purchase the champ again 🤷♀️
LMAOO
I mean they really don’t feel that similar
@@ouchiegiverjr Yeah, the reworked version feels strong while the old version feels weak. Very different feeling
Definitely not Aurelion Sol.
i think he meant the big reworks . not the mini-reworks
No, was a mini rework. We talk about complete visual and gameplay reworks
@@greatsoup7540 You don't even know what his kit was meant to be :P
Ao Shin wasn't released because the engine couldn't support what they wanted to do with him; although Aurelion's tail still does that retarded glitchy thing.
W toggle when
@@Relhio he’s taking about how he was gutted is s9 and hasn’t rly been good since
I was not aware that Shen was reworked. I always thought he was like that
Probably caus they didnt bother giving him new voice lines
Lol me too
they just removed the projectile on Q that was basically Akali's Q, that she also doesn't have anymore, and gave him evasion instead of a shield on W
He came out the same patch as Jhin
I'm surprised Fiddlesticks wasn't added. Imo he's one of the best visually and thematically. They turned this goofy scarecrow into nightmare fuel without changing much to his kit but added to it
Just a heads up, A LOT of reworks are really really good. I know I'm gonna get a lot of people asking me "but what about __?" I could only choose five! T_T
its ok as long as its a Vars list video
Don't worry. This is undesputed the best. Fiddle is second because silence feels less impactfull (fear change is good, but silence brought dread) and voli is only awsome because ohmwrecker is gone.
But the reworked champs on the thumbnail all ended up being top-tier junglers at one point lul
@@ntdb0ss and then fiddle wasn't put in
question, what did you think of urgot rework? I honestly think urgot reworked is one of the better ones although he is a bit unnoticed
No one ever talks about how Sion made a full turnaround to one of the better champ designs
He even kept his comedy theme, since you sometimes ult to escape while Sion scrams "COWAAAAARDS!!!"
BLASPHEMY. Sion only needed a visual/audio rework, his old kit was WAAAAAAAAY more fun, he's just a generic tank now, I miss old AD Sion, the rework totally fucking destroyed him, they should have just made a new champion instead of removing possibly the most fun kit that any champ has ever had, and I've been playing for 10 years now...
Hell even if they left him alone, Green Arnie was 1,000x more fun than the new lame as fuck generic ass tank kit. Played him a couple times and ALL the fun and soul of old Sion was gutted to "fit the meta"... so fucking lame, off-meta builds and customisation made the game so much fun, they've totally killed that element off... Caitlyn (top-lane lethality build) and full AP Dark Harvi Sona are the only real fun champions left besides Senna. Senna is fucking cool, besides that the game has gone waaaaaaay down hill.
I mean they literally made a literal Belle Delphine insert champion, come on... if you're gonna base a champ of a real person Olga of Kiev and Xu Xiaodong would both make much more interesting inserts, although I can't imagine Tencent would do anything in relation to the latter..
@@alyssarichardson2544 did you miss the part where you can still go lethality full AD sion and it is rather viable? it's also WAAAAY more fun than the old Sion, that's like someone coming out and saying that a worse more boring Udyr was your favourite champion in the game. I guess there actually existed a person that for some reason liked old Sion O_O
@@alyssarichardson2544 his old kit outside of his cheesy q and w combo was garbage, and if he existed in that state now he would get obliterated by every top and mid laner
Pantheon is the ultimate rework, that's why he's my favorite champion, also because he is hot af
Ayo?????
Hol up
I agree, he is hot, and also a fun champ to play
Old Pantheon was way better, he had a clear role, assasin, now he is a fking support.. And if riot buff him he is broken, is not good or balance.
@@fabiopineda8466 100% true. I’m a panth otp and I’ve never heard a single panth main say that they like new panth better than old. Only people that like playing his on hit mid lane build every now and then which is a very small percentage of panth mains.
Did we forget about Sion?
Nope! But I could only cover 5 :(
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOXUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSS
Personally, Sion is my favorite rework but you could argue that it wasn't a rework but a release of an entirely new champion that was also a zombie. Which is good in old Sions case ^^"

as a char concept: swain, urgot and fiddle win
Imagine going from a blob to *OH NO HE'S HOT* by comparison.
Metsu
My top two characters in the game are Urgot and Yorick, absolute legends. Really great reworks that make them super cool and fun all around. Byonk man and angry crab are such good characters
Urgot first with Yorick second for me, love that solo carry potential
I think Yorick is almost really cool, but rn he just feels like illaoi, who just throws E over and over until the opponent is forced to recall, and he misses it, he's useless for 10s.
Imo in terms of character design: warwick, volibear and fidelsticks
Old galio was my main. That champ was hidden busted back in the day. His w could heal him on enemy auto attacks and made you do so much extra damage. It would be like if malphite had an ability that gave him 100 armor and healed him everytime he was hit with an ability. You could easily do well over 1.5k with his old ult. I'll miss him it was good times.
i remember how damn OP that dude was back in the days
I really like the persona music in the background
I Will always remember the Warwick rework as one of the best from riot, the others are Volibear, Fiddlesticks Poppy and Pantheon. Also: P5 OST in the background Is the icing on the cake, It makes this video very relaxing to watch
Volibear's passive has got to be one of the worst-designed. A proof that noone at Riot is aware of top lane laning experience.
@@davidaleksidze3381 I admit it's generic, it's similar to Mordekaiser's one in some way, but the kit overall seems fine to me
I don't think people realize really how nightmarish Poppy's old ult was. Like, imagine a new Morde ult, only he can go wherever he wants and damage enemies he wants. It was *absurd.*
I think a rework worth mentioning is the Nunu and Willump rework. Before his rework, Nunu had no identity outside of Disco Nunu and "double" smite. He was good at capturing objectives and only that. But now Nunu and Willump are a charming champ that have a unique position in League.
Also they're the cutest champ in the game now, so that's a plus
Galio was very well updated with his abilities, but his charater design was completely deleted, nothing of his old design remained. Everything about his new character design is the opposite of his old one, to the point where you gotta ask whether Riot reworked Galio or just deleted him and released a new champion that happened to be named the same thing.
The excuse people use for this is "nobody played him so its ok", when the obvious reason why people didnt play him was his bad kit.
Old Galio was: quite - ugly but elegant - dark and gothic themed - calm and referenced religious themes
New Galio is: loud - "pretty" but clumsy - Bright and jock themed - brash and just figths because he likes it
Old Galio had a unique aestethic, and it kinda is a gutpunch that riot deleted him and replaced him with his opposite.
It would be cool however if they introduced a new champ with old Galios aestetic, with the lore of being the mages way of fighting Galio. They could have a whole Giant monsters face-off, or the new champ could be like old Galio in the sense that he flies around, and then he could save innocent people from Galios rampages.
Make it a Noxian Gargoyle that spits acid, fire and air and name him Golliath
i miss the old desing and passive
The noxus Goliath idea should be a thing!
Fiddle's rework is pretty cool. Nothing else I have to say, other than Riot did a good job. Something I'd don't usually say to Riot as of right now.
Nunu, Evelynn, and Fiddlesticks IMO.
Nunu and Fiddle are the bests. I can count with the fingers of my right hand only how many time i've seen a Nunu or a Fiddle before their reworks
Nunu is pretty good tho he has one best ganking tools in game
D-d-d-d-did you just say... EVELYNN?! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
@@VarsVerum what ? Her rework is super cool... Right ....
@@goldenboy5693 The rework is indeed super cool, but it forces people to play the game in such a bad way it makes the champ so unreliable.
It's just failed execution on top of failed execution, if she can't get an early lead she's a cannon minion for the rest of the game.
She's also famous for always baiting your own team into their graves or doing absolutely nothing because "i CaN'T aSsaSSiNAtE SOmEonE"
Gankplank rework was a very good. Just changing 1 ability gave him some much skillset and power.
Fiddlesticks is absolutely my favorite, the updated gameplay and theme are some of my favorite in the entire game
Love the persona music!
The persona theme is fucking soothing I love it
The Mord rework is still the best IMO. I just love everything about him now. His voice, theme, abilities, spell effects, it's all so cool. I used to rarely see him in my games, and any time I did; I always assumed it was a troll. Hell, pre-rework Mord had a lower pick rate than Udyr.
I firmly agree. Isn't much else to it. Morde rework was pog af.
Ikr, people whine about Morde rework because you can't 1 hit R people anymore which is bloody fuckin boring. I love this morde where you can feel like an unstoppable juggernaut.
@@euronico7949 the ghost mechanic on the R was also a bit volatile. it was only useful if you got a AD champ with it. happened to kill master yi or tryndamere with it? you just turned a killing machine against the enemy. got ryze or vel'koz? might as well not have used it
Love the background music :D
I hope so! Any sentiment otherwise is a crime punishable by death! >:(
Very good video and good choices, a video about bad reworks would be a good idea
Sion will always be my favorite. Even from miss the days of playing a dorky Ap burst Mage or Ad Drain tank. He turned into a beast that could scale into an truly unkillable champ that looked cool doing it and Sion can be even more technical and rewarding a tank than shen.
I feel if Riot puts more effort into Perfecting the Champs we have instead of making too many new ones, we will have a much more enjoyable game state for LoL.
If you gonna do more videos like this it would be fun see all the old abilities not just the text and the Urgot re-rework is my favorite one in a design aspect
Volibear had very little play rate before rework. Now reworked he has a lot of players I am happy for them who like him right now but I think the old Volibear was better (my personal opinion.)
Old Voli was for sure better if you ask me. I have him lvl 7 and I feel like he's weaker after the rework so I don't really play him anymore. It's a shame cuz he used to be my go to jungler beside sejuani. His old passive was great now he has to ult to get tanky and that's a downside. New Voli has to rely on landing E, if he does a bad E the fight is pretty much ruined cuz he has no other way to tank himself if ult is on cooldown at that time. IDK man it's just weak... And even his new passive is not that usefull compared to his old way of dealing damage which was to execute with Q. if someone stuns or blinds Voli he has no dmg suddenly rendering his passive useless and it's so easy to counter cuz most champs has some form of stun or CC making it harder. And lastly he also has less CC since they removed his fear. New Voli only works if you get super lucky and enemy team has barely any CC which pretty much never happens so yeah RIP Volibear...
Oh yeah and he also runs slower now too than he used to. Less tanky, move slower, less CC, less DMG, worse passive... He is defenetly the winner for the worst rework ever!

@@zebnemma ur just bad but its ok
Nunu, eve, ww, panth, and fiddle for me. With each one they took the idea for a champ and made sure to keep that consistent while adding more tools and skill expression. The thematics were also done very well on all of these.
@@carnage0685 those 4 def deserved getting the deletion treatment. You quite simply cannot make something similar healthy. Yorick would never be okay as a character focused on summoning creatures in the manner he did, poppy barely had an identity other than pick on the weakling, idk what sion was and neither did anyone else, galio kept antimagic mage/tank but that's honestly all he had as an identity for gameplay, and the lore definitely needed scrapping
@@carnage0685 I'm not gonna bother replying to you properly since you seem incapable of having an actual discussion. You talk of removing people from the world to make it better and yet somehow doing it to characters is too far? What a joke of a person.
I can't believe you didn't mention Fiddlesticks. He's been always one of my favourite champs, and when he and voli won the poll I was so nervous that they would fuck it up. But to my surprise, they transform it in all I always wanted. Instead of a squishy mage they made him an ap bruiser, making him a teamfight base champ rather than this random scarecrow that sometimes appears out of nowhere. Not gonna lie, every day I miss the E crow, but omg it feels good to be able to play jg with him again. Now I need the same for Shaco and Kog'Maw
Kayle & Morgana, Pantheon are to me one of the best VGUs out there, don't know about the Gameplay but thematically at least!!
Fiddle, Taric and Warwick is also great too...
i mis old galio, the speed control effect for your whole team was really nice
Even though old galio was a ome trick pony with his ult, there was something about him that felt special. He was up there with poppy and urgot beimg super rare champs, and it felt like you were playing something that nobody was famililar with
Play sivir.
@@beiwubsnsod7378 i liked how his ultime only dealt a lot of damage when used on a lot of enemies, made him balanced for 1v1 but really strong in 5v5
I wished they focused on reworks instead of their new champs.
I loved riven rework, the red colour plus the horns and wings are the best
1. Sion - Sion's update added iconic moves, much more fun gameplay, and gave him a proper role in the game that he still excels at. He now has a consistent (albeit small) fan base and is way better off than any of the other reworks.
2. Pantheon - kept everything good about his kit while making it less degenerate, what else is there to say?
3. Warwick - best upgrade in visuals and thematics. Their plan was to keep him simple but add new tools and it worked great.
Sion is by far their best

I love the reworked Nunu & Willump. The first time I saw their trailer puts a smile on my face. 😁
Amazing video!
Now I want to see a list of the worst reworks 😂
I think you could also do a video on more rework too and how it affected the champion play rate and style.
I think Evelynn’s was pretty good. Gating the invisibility until level 6 and then balancing around that was a very good way to make her a healthier choice
Perma invis is not healthy AT ALL
Now what are the top 5 worst reworks?
Easy
Ryze
Every single one
Can't really make that because there aren't enough bad reworks XD And no, Aatrox is actually not a bad rework.
@@VarsVerum Aatroy rework was a failure, not because they deleted his old gameplay style, but because they deleted his immortality and reason is the too strong rework. They shoudve change something about his kit and save immortaility that he had from the release.
Aatrox and Ryze for good reasons
First Ryze is the most reworked champion of all time since his kit was so broken since Alpha, 2015 was his most powerful state, and his 2016 rework was more broken than expected. In short Ryze gets reworked every season except season 10 for some reason (not sure about season 11 though) and then Aatrox which literally got reworked when he finally became viable in 2018. Riot totally played with the hearts of the old Aatrox mains. They turned him into a Riven instead of Tryndamere. I do like the rework but the fact we only got to see his pre-rework version in competitive for only for a month, it pissed off an entire community.
Somehow i really forgot that poppy get a rework too before this video
I only remembered that old candy poppy cursed smile lmao
My favorites are without a doubt Evelynn and Katarina. Evelynn has so many more small things she can do position wise to execute her target, as well as she doesn't feel so mind numbing since they removed the whole infinite q spam. Katarina went from being an insanely unhealthy face roll to a genuinely difficult champion with a lot of skill expression and outplay potential, and her opponents have means of stopping her or just not allowing her to deal damage (aka STOP WALKING ON THE DAGGERS-or do i dont mind the free lp). Akali is another favorite but thats just I find her much more fun now lol.
Fiora is to this day my favourite rework. Started maining her since they did it and even though it's been a few years since I've stopped maining top she's still my go-to champion for toplane. Love that W and Vitals minigame
This was a good one. Maybe you make a the worst reworks video too?
I love your content soo much keep it up❤️❤️
Thank you! :D
The five you mentioned were/are great. However, these certainly deserve mention if you ever go back to this.
Heimerdinger (S7): His problems were his slowness, ability to be out-ranged, and requiring champions to come to him (since his ultimate was only a mega-turret). With an instant inventory of 3 turrets, the range issue goes away. His new passive fixed his speed when he's around turrets, which is where he's supposed to be. And his new ultimate gave him some much-needed versatility in teamfights and skirmishes.
Mordekaiser (S9): While able to be a 1v9 boss if fed, the increased popularity of Grievous Wounds and anti-tank items wore this slower, mega-healing champ down. He was also very point-and-click. With basic abilities now requiring better timing, but covering a wider area, he can now affect teamfights even when behind. Combining Poppy's old and Camille's ultimates, he can still shut down a fed player and swing the tide, but now it's more about improving himself than getting lucky on a fed Cait and using their ghost to one-shot the enemy team.
Soraka (S4): Only older veterans would know about this one. Before, our banana thrower was just a health + mana battery with one minor point-and-click silence and the best MR-shredding ability in the game. She traded that for increased speed, less powerful but more consistent heals, and an upgrade to CC at the cost of no more mana sharing. Her Q can also do damage from a much safer distance.
Kayle (S9): You covered this in your Why No One Plays video about her, but her new kit allows her to stay in the same role as before; as in, slow to start but an unstoppable force if hitting late game, only outclassed by infinity scalers.
Fiddlesticks is the rework I like the most. Fiddlesticks was nothing else than a meme before, something nobody actually played or even remembered. Post-rework? Amazing theme, art, gameplay etc. while still being very unique and keeping the core of what the champion was before. Also, he's, you know, viable. 10/10 rework.
i played consistently as support with fiddle, he was my ezreal counter, and thanks to ezreal being a popular pick i used to play him a lot, now i dont even see anyone playing fiddle and he is terrible in aram, visually the rework is great, but he is too passive now which i dont like but i get how that is how a scarecrow should be played
@@devforfun5618 "Terrible in aram" I mean champs aren't exactly designed with aram as a top priority
Fun fact: All of your picks are my mains RN even before their rework esp Pantheon really love 1v1 at top
I hit mastery 6 on OldGot and was 1S away before they reworked him 😭 I miss my boigot
I miss him too
I started playing league after his rework, but I think his old ult was super fun to use xd
Talkin about my man Galio ❤️ love to set it. I still do miss old Galio, but I don't think he would be playable in this day and age. Excited to see how he feels for S12
Gotta say love the persona 5 music at the start.
i think people are ignoring how strong taric is and how good his rework was
Taric straight up my favorite rework of all time but he gets rejected because people are too insecure with their masculinity to play him
Which is exactly what makes taric so chadalpha
Mostly because now he's been relegated to Master Yi's gold funnel slave >.> That and his abilities are more team game oriented (ranked 5's/clash/pro play instead of solo queue)
@@VarsVerum taric is straight up one of the best 1v1 duelists in the game (vs ad)
Taric mains take him not only support, but also both top and jungle.. and thats soloquo without yis or kayles
@@torch1028 I have a friend which is a top main and his best champ by far is Taric. Holy shit, he never loses lane when he's playing Taric, he's surprisingly strong.
@@lucianofrancesco4742 I can actually confirm that taric has like 5 amazing rune choices, and his max hp scaling+ap scaling+armor scaling and auto attack centric kit lets him build basically any item he could ever need without it being inefficient. Example: His Q scales with HP and with AP (As well as heal power) so he can go offence focused with a titanic or zhonyas if he's feeling spicey. Many tarics are running manamune or essence reaver in top lane, they can also run a rather strong AP+Bruiser build, or some crazy wit's end+frostfire build.
Thornmail is a damage item for taric, and if you're willing to take the risk.. double armor runes+conditioning+tabi is all the armor he really needs thanks to his W letting a taric freely build whatever tf he wants
It's outrageous
Totaly agree with you on this list. But I would also include Volibear, mostly cause of the feeling I have when playing him. I really feel like an animal god of war who comes down to destroy everyone in his path. Also his I think he has the best quotes in the game.
The best reworks, in my opinion, are the ones that keep the core identity and kit of the character and then improve the parts that need it to be rounded.
So, Fiddlesticks, Warwick, Heimerdinger, Pantheon and Master Yi are up there as some of the best reworks in the game.
Then there's Sion and Aatrox which is basically them deleting a champion to create a new one.
My absolute favourite was the beast that was Mordekaiser. Pantheons is also insane, and Swain makes a new character that adds so much to both the game and the lore
Swain was definitely another really good one! I loved how they kept the battlemage part of him but made him less poke spammy :D
Wish I could’ve tried old Galio. He got reworked right after I started, so I saw him in games but didn’t know to try him before a rework. I did get to play old Warwick some and hated how dinky he was. That rework was exxxxxxxtreme
That comfy Persona5 music :3
My personal favorite "Rework" is actually Diana's switching R and E. For too long Diana played like a blitzy assassin type but didn't really have an IMPACTFUL ultimate. She was almost useless pre 6. Now that her dash is her E and her E is a beefed up ultimate ability, she feels more proactive in a game for me. I know it's not a FULL VGU but it's what counts for me.
OLD SHEN WAS BETTER
And
The fact that Taric isn't even in the top 5 when his rework brought him from a meme to a staple in enchanter/tank support metas .... like c'mon man
i guess even now people dont care about Gem Daddy :(.such a shame cause i find him really enjoyable especially in jg
A staple in the enchanter/tank support metas? The champ has never seen a single day of viability since his rework besides being used as a boosting/funnel champ.
By far top 3 worst reworks they've done if you ask me.
Vars made it pretty clear in this video that the balance states of champions should be completely irrelevant when accessing the reworks of champions (hence why Pantheon was allowed into the top 5). So just because Taric was never a decent pick in the meta (outside of the funnel cheese), it doesn't mean that Riot failed with making him an interesting champion that has a place in the game with a kit that feels just right, while also having some counterplay. And let's be honest here, they didn't fail with that at all.
@@sandortojzan5409 agree to disagree.
Taric's entire kit just screams boring.
Just because it looks good doesn't mean it is.
Taric is such a situational pick as a support who's outclassed by basically any other support in this game.
His Q is simply unreliable and it only works on his W.
His W just doesn't do anything useful besides giving his ally some armor.
His E is fantastic and his ult is just bad, I get why his kit is the way it is cos it makes sense with his character but in practice the rework is just unplayable.
He's just a worse Rell, and she's already a very situational champ.
Did say it was his opinion so I mean
I like your picks, as for me, my top 5 would be: Warwick, Gankgplank, Evelynn, Poppy and Swain. It just feels like those champions literally got a personality after their rework. For example, Gangplank feels like an actual pirate, compared to his previous iteration of him being a combination of a soldier toy and pinocchio.
Also honorable mention: Yorick, even though the reworked Yorick was never that strong, I think his rework was probably the biggest one, just behind Warwick because of how disturbingly bad his previous kit was.
Now, I have only been playing since season 9 and so I haven´t experienced many reworks but I really love to learn about the story of league so I´ll give my perspective on this. In no particular order (except the last one), this is my take on the five best reworks:
1. Swain: despite being a rework that changed the old champion basically as much as Aatrox´s, I barely see people talk or complain about this one. From what I see, old Swain was a champion that was powerful as a drain tank but didin´t feel very rewarding. So they took it and gave us one of the best designed control mages in the game. His kit is so fluid, his passive is so unique and his ult pretty much does the same thing while actually feeling as an ultimate.
2. Warwick. It´s pretty much general consensus that old warwick had a terrible kit and that his rework fixed his issues and gave him a decent kit. Watching the gameplay I can´t help but to agree.
3. Yorick. From what had to be one of the worst designed kits in the game, with the worst like to dislike ratio a champion spotlight has had, second only to Seraphine (for good reason), his rework removed his toxic lane-bully gameplay and gave him a good identity as a splitpusher duelist that didn´t rely on gimmmicky items or his team too much
4. Sion. Sion is in my opinion one of the fairest champions to fight in league. His kit has just the right amount of counterplay so you don´t feel like you are being cheated and at the same time he can outplay if he pulls it off. Also, his old kit was a complete mess.
And lastly, my favourite rework:
5. Fiddlesticks. Fiddlesticks earns my personal number one spot because it proved that you can change a champion just enough so that he is modernized but also keeps the same identity intact. Also, it gave us the best visual rework imo. It is worth noting also that fiddle is the only champion I played before his rework.
Fiddle rework was amazing. I really hope we eventually get Cho'gath and Shyvana reworks.
Sion is the first full rework champion and to this day is my favorite rework of all, the concept of this unstoppable zombi is really cool, all the abilities are really good to play and is a really safe pick in my opinion.
Other good rework is fiddlesticks, i never been a fan of that champion myself but i love how they make this nigthmare champion into, well, a nigthmare champion xD Urgot rework is also really cool, how they translate this spider-like abomination in a more "modern" runaterra way
Will see how Dr. Mundo rework is going to be, i really like tanky champions and Mundo was one of my favorites
Sion, Poppy, Gangplank, Warwick, Pantheon, Fiddle, Nunu and Urgot were GREAT
lol i just listened to persona osts that was playing in the background throughout the whole video
My favorite reworks were those for Fiddlesticks, Swain, and Evelynn. Their designs and kits are so much better than what they were before.
Did you just say Evelynn?! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
@@VarsVerum what's wrong with her rework?
Nunu, Yorick, Taric and Fiddlesticks are some of my favorite champions to play rn and I don't think that'd be the case if not for their reworks (especially Nunu, his W is the best)
Revert Aurelion Sol
nobody mentioned taric, i started using him right before the rework, and felt the rework kept his identity, he still has one of the best stuns in Q and his R still makes for a powerfull morale boost, he only lost the armor shred, but now deals enough damage with the passive that ignoring him in a team fight is a bad idea
Also, Swain rework is literally my favourite champion and my main
Swain went from a crippled old man who loves birds to a demon lord Stalin with that rework
Back when the Warwick rework was announced I had a bet with my friends to see if I could get M7 on him before the rework. After much research, theory-crafting, Redemption purchases, AFK farming to game the system, and 40 excruciating games later, I had a new ultimate skin for winning the bet.
i love the mordekaiser rework. i love his ult because it actually has two uses if you're smart about it. if you are hard carrying, you can take out a tank to let your team ravage the back line or you can hit a key carry that you know you can solo. the other use is if you are being absolutely useless, you can build items like zhonyas to increase your survival time and stall out the team carrying carry and let your team kill the rest of the team and then pile on the hard carry.
i rly like the Urgott rework since it made him much cooler as a Charakter and the Shotgun Legs are awesome in my opinion. As a Supp main i would rly like to see a VGU for Zilean where they also work on his charakter model since its verry old. if you dont trust me look at Zileans hands they are cubes.
Volibear rework is still pretty good. Though I miss his healing passive. But he still strong asf
In my opinion I think Nunu is a good example of a excelent rework and maybe could steal the spot of poppy or shen in your video
I think that for me, I agree with Warwick, poppy and shen, but pantheon and galio it’s more complicated, mostly because they did remove part of the reworked abilities (galio flash w and pant blocking torrets) I think riot does rework tanks in a really nice way but one of my favorite “mini reworks” was zyra, changing the passive made her feel a lot more interesting than before, after all the previous one was really out of place for her design
my pet peeve is the reuse of similies. but a great video. :D
i think that when old galio was still in the game corki was an ad adc at 6:50 he said that he was an ap adc. Correct me if i'm wrong
my top 5 are WW, Mordekaiser (even tho i like the old one too), Galio, Taric and Xerath
Good video i enjoyed 👍
Thanks :D Glad it was entertaining!
I like the Poppy and WW reworks because they had no combos with old kits they just had auto resets. Now they have synergy within their kit. Poppy has my favorite combo, knock up ult into captain america shield throw auto. Also, no one remembers old Karma and that makes me sad. She was an old pocket pick of mine because nobody knew what she did...
Bro the fiora rework made me actually want to play her and the depth and skill expression with the champ definitely shows the amount of time spent playing the champion
Pantheon was my first main, back when I was 13 years old. His rework was like the second coming of Christ. Much hype.
I like gangplank, also he's voiced by matthew mercer which is nice.
I joined the game in s10 right after the fiddle rework. But the reworked champ I have the most time on is aatrox, then panth then sion. I just kinda enjoy beeg bois.
Hit us with that p5 ost BOYYYY
I am really hoping they do a great job with mundo :D
The persona 5 music in the background made me feel fuzzy
5:46 venn diagram LOL
I miss old AP Poppy. You really smashed the face of an enemy with that hammer (+lich bane and dfg)
i really like the rework they did on katarina, but I may be a little biased, cuz I'm a katarina main.
I also like reworks much more than new champions, but because their kits are usually much healthier because the goal isn't to make them as popular as possible
These are the reworks that i think are good : aatrox , taric , fiddle , patheon , mordkaizer , morg and sion , especily tarics rework is fav in terms of theme , gameplay and desgin :D
Based on the OST, have you been playing persona 5 strikers?
