I know it's fine, but as the only person in the house who's a cook, and takes care of the knives: I freaking hate whenever my mother cooks for that exact reason. She can literally just lightly poke herself with the end of a spatula and react like she got her entire wrist cut off. Suffice it to say, I don't let that woman cook.
I love how she did the knife grabbing and hand claw correctly at the beginning and then she proceeded to completely ignore it when actually cutting stuff.

I think really one of the more important things you can do for yourself as a cook is to get your mise en place ready. Might be helpful to you.
