I think the chef secret is tasting. The small bits left over, the smells and the combinations of spices you get to smell bring it all together. Baking and cooking are really an art from the heart. You can know the recipe by heart but if you cook it in a bad mood it will show through. Passion is key.
Perfection...I love how GR doesn’t waste time with too many words...just gets down to business!..one of the few cooking channels that doesn’t get BORING!!!❤️❤️❤️

I'm from Middle Tennessee. My great-grandmother cooked the absolute best fried chicken. It was always drumsticks because they were cheap and inexpensive and she fried it in lard in a cast iron skillet.

When Gordon is cooking with his kids, you don't hear even one curse or swear word come out of his mouth. Amazing..... he doesn't HAVE to use foul language like he does on his other cooking shows.
I think most of that is because the Gordon you see on TV is a character he is playing for higher ratings

I love how he is teaching his kids to cook. I do with my children. I think everyone should know how to. I'd rather eat homecooked meals any day over takeout!!

Sadly, none of the older ones wanted to follow a culinary career. Hopefully the youngest will be the next great chef!

That "mexican"brunch dish was interesting. Looks like a twist on chilaquiles, which is may favorite brunch food and known all over Mexico. Though the best chilaquiles are from CDMX.

Gordon showed up at the Super Bowl. In the second half, Kansas City freakin’ exploded, baby! I was behind them the whole time by rooting for them and voted for Patrick Mahomes as Super Bowl MVP. And even with an ankle injury, Patrick showed the tribe what he’s made of and that drafting him was worthwhile.
