- The development of a ZX81/TS1000 version of Burger Time is taking shape. I show a little double-buffering on the ZX81 and talk about the simple freedom of not having graphics, music or colour when creating a game

Just shared this in a Speccy group to someone who is using the ZX81/Timex TS1000 mode on his Spectrum NEXT he's loving it ! He's American and owns actual Timex TS1000 and the NEXT is taking off great over there which is fantastic to see (Still waiting for my Next to be delivered but that's expected I paid for it a year ago this month but anywhere as near as damn it near xmas time will be great) Of course I still have my grey + 2 to tinker around with only had it since 1986 :)
Anyway back on subject of the video .. what a fine version of Burger Time considering the hardware it's amazing to me
Big baps. Classic 😅. Awesome work Jonathan. Been a fan for years of the stuff you've done. Finally in my early 40s managed to learn z80 properly and do things with it!
Genius at work, as ever Mr C!
I love it! I would never have thought you could do this in low-res, even the sausage wiggle, lol. One of my favourite games alongside the highly un PC Mr Wongs Loopy Laundry. I have a ZX81 and am building a new one too. I’m glad you’ve found one of the pluses of the 81, restrictions, no niceties, you left with only your imagination. You always can build up from a great idea.
Promising!
Great
WoW ! Great work !!
Wow nice job!
If i had one constructive criticism, the speed is to fast in the game.
LOL can't believe i am saying that for a ZX-81 game, but yes a tad to fast, for the player, anyway.
Hi, I'm struggling with the app. It keeps giving me the error "amstrad.agd not found" so I can't do anything.
Sorry to hear that. If you have a problem with Multi-Platform Arcade Game Designer your best bet is to post the details over at the forums where it will be seen by many more eyes: arcadegamedesigner.proboards.com/
@@jonathancauldwell9822 it's sorted now and I've joined your Facebook group. It was the user file that needed moving and apparently it doesn't like a space in the folder it was in 😂 loving the tool though!!
