Love the beautiful cross stitch work! That hymn is a favorite of our family’s well! God certainly has blessed you with a dream home! This video was full of inspiration for me, thank you!
Oh my gosh, this is just sensual, lovely and gorgeous. Wish I could know the lace curtains you bought from Amazon so I could buy them, too. You are just so talented, and I love your voice sooo much. I watch your videos as much for your calming voice as anything else. Thank you for the soothing video. I enjoy you soooo much. Hope you have a wonderful summer. Please make more videos.
What a beautiful room especially the gallery wall with all the things you have done and had given to you. I live in England and have one or two friends who live in country cottages, however their style is not as eclectic as yours, I much prefer looking through antique shops and thrift stores it gives me so much pleasure when I find something I have been looking for a long time. I will certainly keep watching your channel.💕
Good morning, Miss Maureen! How delightful to live in England and see cottage homes inn person! since creating that bedroom my style has become more sophisticated and cohesive ~ which you might've noticed from the bedroom remodel series. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. Have a lovely day!
I really enjoyed this video, my style is English French Country. I call my decorating "feathering my nest." I also love thrift shops, yard sales, and eBay. The pitcher with the flowers is so me.
Mainly when planning a room I have a sort of theme like my front room is now beach themed for the summer it mostly aqua blue and white with wood tones and hints of pink thrown in. I have some flamingos and some flamingo goggles for swimming as decor. Just fun stuff. So I get an idea or see something that inspires me and figure out a color palette and than choose items that bring me joy I choose things that remind me of my childhood, happy memories of things I love and remind me of my mom here and there or a picture can inspire a whole room but yes I do enjoy collecting items over time too unless I see a dozen things I just cant live without. But when I get tired of a certain look I sell stuff to buy other stuff too so I ront keep too much.
Hello there, Miss Michelle! Sounds like you have a great decorating method all worked out! It's fun to change things up and use items that evoke special memories. Thanks for sharing!
Good morning, Start 64! Isn't this journey tremendously fun?! Glad you enjoyed your visit in the guest bedroom. What would you say your cottage style decorating questions are? Let me know your thoughts & have a lovely day!
That room is so gorgeous! Your quilt and needlepoint pieces are awesome. Yes I collect over time from necessity. I did make a couple of good finds this week. My mother passed away in April and my sister wanted the rooster painting she had painted for mom to put in her home. It's a beautiful painting and left a real blank space in the dining room (I'm still in my mother's house). Well I do have a few pieces with fruit and some curtains I made with fruit fabric. I stopped at a fave thrift store after an appt. Monday. I found a gorgeous fruit print ($4) in a deep olive frame with some gold gilt. I thought I would paint the frame off white with gilt (but when I got it home loved the distressed green and gold with the rest of the room). Then I found a plate with fruit ($5). I knew I would need something else with them but knew I would just need to wait til the right thing turned up. After arriving home I stepped into a room I don't spend much time in. Looking at the top of a shelf in the corner was a fruit print in a gold frame with a Bible verse! Yes!!! It's a small gallery but who knows, maybe some other items will show up unexpectedly.
Isn't it wonderful when the treasures we find and the treasures we already own fit well together?! Sounds like your making great progress, Miss Barbara. Thank you for visiting today!
Hello! I stumbled upon your channel and absolutely love it. Your counted cross stitch is gorgeous. I can’t believe how skilled you were even at 11. Your embroidered pillows are beautiful too. It’s nice to see someone who enjoys these vintage treasures just as much as I do.
Hello! I'm glad you've been enjoying the channel! You may also enjoy my blog as well, it is called: Stonecottagehome.com. I appreciate you stopping by to visit! Have a lovely, cozy evening.
That bedroom is pretty I kind of almost have the same decor as you but I do a little bit more shabby chic that I like with the little twist like you have is my style and I do like the pinks and the rose colors and the greens and some of the blues in there they're very pretty
I love this room! You decorated it so beautifully! My only comment is since you mentioned French Country for the dresser, and so much fits that theme (art, flowered light), some of the room is English Country. These 2 themes mesh well. If I decorated the room, I would have chosen a different bedspread. The quilt is gorgeous, but for a French Country look, a plain colored bedspread would have fit the room and the bed. Your taste is so stylishly executed! Lovely room, and I'm sure your guests love it! I have collected and purchased used items since I was 12. My daughter now uses my childhood desk that was a hand me down from my Uncle. For inspiration, I like to have fabric or wall art to pull colors for a room, then style it with old furniture purchased used from the past and current. Love your videos!
Hello, Miss Dolores! Yes, you're right, English & French cottage styles mix quite well. If you've not seen my video on "Learn the Different Cottage Styles" you would enjoy it! How wonderful to pass your childhood desk on to your daughter. Thank you for visiting today!
Your bedroom is absolutely beautiful! I stumbled along your video and quickly subscribed to your channel today. Thank you so much for sharing! It's all so beautiful and very serene. Green is one of my favourite colours too. I love going to salvage yards, op shops, garage sales and whatever I'm drawn to I know will go with what I already have. As long as it's old I'm happy xx
A true representation of your warm and hospitable nature, Rachel. I love that so many of the prettiest things were made by you, and also all the family items, which you have treasured.

I identify with your sentimentality. It's very beautiful, Rachel. The room is your canvas. You have painted it with some of the many colours of your heart.
Hello Rachel, I am new to your channel, I am loving French Country and Farmhouse and looking to mix a little modern with those styles; your style is the epitome of English cottage styling. I can just imagine a slew of rose bushes outside that window and awaking to a beam of sun rays on mornings, beautiful quilt. Xo
Good evening, Summer Breeze Country Cabin Living! Welcome to the Stone Cottage Home family! I'm thrilled to have you! Your style sounds like a lovely blend. You are right, there actually are a row of roses outside the bedroom window! Thank you for stopping by to visit & have a cozy evening!

Hi Miss Debbie! Thank you for your kind words, very glad to have you as part of the Stone Cottage Home family! You are right, a house with heart is a home. Have a lovely day! 🌹
I love the way that you display your handmade treasures. Your sweet memories at a glance. I wish their was a way to add a note with an explanation, like in the museums. Maybe add a note to the back for future generations. My father had a picture of himself hung over the fireplace. Cleaning it one day after his passing I found a handwritten note attached to the back. He made me cry and laugh. He always said he will find a way to tell me he will always be watching over us.☮️ be happy and enjoy your beautiful house. Keep making memories and preserving some for future generations.
Oh my goodness...what a dreamy Oasis!! 💖💖💖💖. Your style is very similar to mine. I have the exact same dresser and I just LOVE it!! We live in a 650 sq ft apartment. My style is Victorian Vintage. I just LOVE it and it's Hubby approved 😉. I would LOVE to see a living room tour! You are so creative and inspiring! 💖
Good evening, Miss Trudy! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the room tour! It looks like you found my living room through the fall home tour video. I'm thrilled you are enjoying your visits to the Stone Cottage Home & find them inspiring! I appreciate you stopping by!
Rachel, I love the quilt! You do find wonderful paintings and group them together beautifully. What a treasure the dollhouse is. I don't think I've seen that before. 🤗 Robin
Hi there! Your style is beautiful and I’m currently working on our spare room. I LOVE the color green you painted. Do you mind sharing the name of it? 😍
Good morning, Miss Emily! I've asked Matt about the paint in that room, and I don't believe we have any left, so we don't have the name. Best wishes on your project!
Hi there, Lynn from N. Ireland! Welcome to the Stone Cottage Home! I'm thrilled you enjoyed your first visit, next week we'll be in the garden. Have a lovely day!

I chose to surround myself with items that are vintage and antique because it reminds me of home. Your guest bedroom is lovely.😊
It still amazes me that you find such beautiful things at thrift stores. And I love what you did with the headboard. I don't think using decoupage on the panels would have ever occurred to me. I can't wait to eventually make over the bedroom my daughter currently has.

Hi Rachel! I’ve been a subscriber for several months and have watched most of your videos. Some of them over and over. I love this room. Would you mind telling me the name of the green paint you used? I’m doing my bedroom in pink and green, and this shade of green is perfect for my vision!
Good morning, Miss Jennifer! I'm so happy to have you along as a part of the Stone Cottage Home family! It's encouraging to hear that you are finding repeat benefits from your visits. On that note, could you pinpoint what you find most helpful/inspiring from our videos? Our goal is to help our viewers solve problems and find inspiration ~ your feedback helps take out the guesswork! You bedroom project sounds lovely! I used Sage Brush S370-3 by Behr, in our southwest facing bedroom. It is soft and dreamy in morning light, and more vibrant in evening light. I've found it pairs well with a creamy Ivory Lace SW7013 by Sherwin-Williams for trim, and Lit Candles MAG042 by Magnolia Home for an accent wall. I found the green a bit too intense in the evening light so we kept one wall green as an accent and painted the other walls in "Lit Candles" which has a gorgeous soft glow, as the name suggests. We actually took the Magnolia Home paint card to Sherwin-Williams for a color match to simplify our shopping (and it's cheaper). Hope this helps and have a lovely fall day!
@@StoneCottageHome Hi Rachel! Thank you for such a wonderful response! It was very helpful! I am subscribed to, and watch, several thrifting and home decor channels here on UA-cam. Yours is one of my favorites because you are so authentic and genuine. Your style is uniquely yours, without overly following trends. You were cottage before cottage became the newest trend. I love the way your home looks. You and your husband have taken the time to learn what you both prefer and have slowly collected things you love, and transformed your house into a beautiful home! You encourage your viewers to also take the time to discover what we love, and to incorporate those things into our homes, and not just purchase something because it’s the newest trend. I have a smaller home and have always loved thrifting my decor. I honestly don’t know what to call my style but it probably most aligns with cottage/granny style. I love the cozy look of Country Cottage style homes. When I search UA-cam for cottage style bedroom, etc., most of the results are just people who are farmhouse but using the word ‘cottage’ because it’s trendy. You are not farmhouse. (Not that Farmhouse is bad) Your decorating style is cozy and cottagy. I love the colors you choose, and how you take the time to incorporate color theory, and discuss patterns and fabrics…and wallpaper! You have almost convinced me to try wallpaper! All of the walls in my house are painted white. That’s how it was when we purchased it last year. Watching your videos has opened up so many new possibilities for our white walls! It will take time, but I am getting ideas for wall colors, wallpaper, and adding wainscoting in some areas! Of all the channels I watch, yours is one that gives me the most inspiration. When I watch your videos, it’s almost like a good friend is giving me advice. I appreciate that you share your inspiration with us as well. In one video, you showed some books that you use for inspiration. They look wonderful and I may end up purchasing one or two from Amazon. Looking forward to your next video!!
Good morning, Cal Talk! Yes, I did make the quilt - it was the first one I made with a pattern. After that I was hooked and I love quilting! Thank you for stopping by & have a lovely day.🌹
Oh my goodness, I collect stuff from all over , thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets & gifts from friends. It’s so reward when you find that special piece that ties everything together. I love your channel. I’m more of a Victorian / French type of gal… but I use a lot of other ideas as well. I also love tour Tea station❤️
Hello, Miss Leatrice! I imagine your home is lovely with all those treasures! I'm glad you're enjoying the channel ~ in between videos you might enjoy exploring my blog: Stonecottagehome.com! I've really enjoyed the tea station as well & I'm glad to have finally put it together. Have a lovey evening!
This is beautiful. However for a guest room it’s definitely not my style. Mainly because of experience- my parents have many close friends and when we were little we would always go and stay the weekend. I realized that I have always appreciated a guest room that was neutral or completely white, has literally no furniture except for a bed and end table, and an empty closet for me to hang my clothing in. I truly appreciated an empty room.
Am l inspired ? Oh, yes. Thanks for sharing.
Yay, glad you found some inspiration during your visit, Miss Agnes! Thank you for stopping by.

Hi Rachel!
Did you make that quilt…pretty.
Good morning, Cal Talk!
Yes, I did make the quilt - it was the first one I made with a pattern. After that I was hooked and I love quilting! Thank you for stopping by & have a lovely day.🌹
That quilt was the star of the room! So beautiful!
You have a new subscriber:)
Welcome to the Stone Cottage Home family, Tatyana!
Hello E E! Thank you for stopping by & sharing your thoughts. It's fun to see our differences & learn from each other! Have a lovely evening! 🌷
