@@FreddieDobbs I've had some wonderful rides venturing out from Avila Beach in Calif in the late 70's . Up the coast of Calif from Morro Bay on highway 1 views of the Ocean all the way up to Carmel ....Monterey , looking for Clint Eastwood...lol..all about luck and getting a non foggy day...beautiful views as the highway climbs the cliff. It’s now my Sunday winter ritual, build a nice fire in the fireplace, make a cup of tea and lemon, and watch Freddie and Monica talk about going to places that I will probably never get to go to. I can’t wait to see your new adventures. And your reaction to riding an old BSA. Come to America Freddie. I got a 1948 Harley flathead bobber with your name on it. Watching you kick start, foot clutch and tank shift and old Harley would be priceless.
Thank you Steve! I genuinely could barely ride the BSA- I somehow managed to limp it home😆 Your Harley sounds possibly even more difficult, but I would not turn down that opportunity🇺🇸
BSA. As a young boy, I was heavily into bikes of course. We used to look in everyone’s back garden just to see of there were any unwanted bikes. If so we knocked on the door and asked if we could take it away. This resulted in a few being retrieved including a BSA Bantam, 125cc, a BSA B31, 350cc, and a Norton ES2, 500 cc complete with chair! We used to get them going, strip them down to lose weight, buy a gallon of 4 Star, 1s 3d! and go riding around the LBC pits at the end of our road. Those days taught me a lot and certainly drilled into me my Bike craft. Look forward to the BSA history.

Escaping the UK for a couple of months then returning when it’s less cold seems like a good plan. Singapore, Indonesia and Bali great destinations. Many years ago I island hopped from Lombok up to Northern Sumatra over 6 months. It was magical seeing pristine rainforests and jungle. I doubt much of them remain now all cut down for their wood, thousands, millions of animals and plants killed and skins sold, destroyed or displaced all for palm oil. Heart breaking. Will probably never ever go back. Sabah and Mount Kinabalu was stunningly beautiful. Better to be safe than sorry with the helmets. You need a very large Givi top box to lock them in on the back of your Bonneville. The non functioning Indian visa website doesn’t surprise me. It’s typical for the country. I'm reiterating what most have said. I don't know what is, the charm ,the music , the capturing or my love for everything English that has me glued to this. My half brother just got back from Dubai and loved it he once lived in Singapore. Even though Indian is in my blood and only went there in 69 during the Beatle Era, I think that would be a challenge for biking in my opinion. Anyhow I'm ready to ride along from my desk chair with the greatest of ease. Onward you 2 shall go.

Good to start a relaxed Sunday with a bit of Bonnie travel and of course a coffee as ever. Part of my Sunday mornings now. Can’t believe you didn’t’ showcase Monika’s new haircut!

That’s a serious lock. Here in the states they just pick the bike up with some straps and put in a van. A friend had his lifted from driveway in daylight. Neighbors thought he was having it worked on. I saved one iPhone when upgrading and hid it under seat.
The way to get an Indian visa is to do it in person at an embassy, make an appointment, check what you need and roll up on the day. It may take 6 or 7 hrs but it’s job done. Some friends of ours go to Goa for a month, they’re there now and they always do it in person in Birmingham.
You're absolutely correct! "It doesn't matter if it's better or worse than other bikes, there is nothing like riding your own bike...that trust that you have with your bike". I'm only going to ride what I enjoy and feel comfortable on. Friends tried talking me into buying a Harley but it just wasn't my style. The Vulcan S kind of picked me. However I'm still looking for a bike with an old school feel to it for a second bike because I have a lot of respect for the retro style. As far as the online passport goes make sure there's no space before or after your name. I had multiple issues trying to send send an email for a few days in Outlook and realized I was leaving a space after the email address. It was a real headache. Technology isn't very advanced sometimes.
What can I say? Another enjoyable Sunday morning vlog from you both. If you're flying to Dubai on the Airbus A380 it's a great experience, we loved it. The cars in Dubai? Well you'll see for yourselves and I'm sure you will share your experience. Take care.
We’re going with Emirates, so I hope there’s a good chance we’ll be on an impressive plane✈️ I can’t wait to see the vehicles- I’ve heard very good things!
Nothing is even close to angke grinder proof but they can use materials that make it take longer and chew up the discs, it won’t hurt the grinder itself though so any seasoned thief will be ready for that, but that’s the case with anything
Brilliant guy's looking forward the the next adventure you lucky people and although not a big BSA fan I look forward to that one too ,and Monica you are doing a fab job on the editing well done you 😊👍
Another great video, and I can't wait for the BSA film. Not much of a surprise with India from experience, nothing seems to work there everytime. But you'll love Bali, great friendly locals, and a great place to travel around on 2 wheels, I'd go back without hesitation.
Your Bonnie is home as you walk up to her, sit on her, and let her take you for a ride. You say you won't let her go, but, you might. However, DON'T. You will regret letting her go.

The lite lock gets a good rating on Bennett’s bike social & I think they have a UA-cam video on it . Think they put it through its paces , think theirs 2different sizes & they try to mount it through the wheel & round the fork . If just through the wheel they just cut the wheel. Check it out for peace of mind.
Paused, 6:50. I'm to old to wanna 'mimic' anyone, didn't really do that when I was young, though. But, when I was younger, got my 69 Bonneville (back in mid '80's), I 'felt' like I was Marlon Brando (The Wild One) or James Dean. Currently, Freddie's nailed the cool guy on a bike image! Expecting soon to see him in an advert as a model rider, or clothing or..? Lol. Ron, Yosemite
Nice work Freddie, much appreciate & enjoy your videos, great motorcycles and good music, I’ve been motorcycling since 1965, first on a Honda 250 scrambler, then I moved up to a Triumph 650 TR6 C ‘Desert Sled’ big bike for those days and one of my all time favorites, then Spanish made Bultaco Pursang, more Hondas- with the finally one being a 1979? CBX 1000 6 cylinder straight across, 6 carbs, 6 exhaust pipes 24 valves, loved that bike, then on to BMW’s. Being older now I’m feeling the need to reduce weight and size, seriously considering a Triumph, so I treasure all your reviews and perspective, your leading me into a Bonneville T120, any suggestions on a particular year for an older gent ?
Freddie your Sunday videos have became part of my weekend routine +coffee and couch! Keep up the great work…out of interest what’s the mileage on the Bonnie these days?
Hi. Enjoying your vids. (Had street twin now buying Tiger 900 for touring. ) Just came across channel called Jake rides away. He's got your stuff, and bike! Thought it was you at first. Got to do America!
@Freddie Dobbs I congratulate you Freddie, that's a great set up you have there! 👍 Enjoy the travels both, and I look forward to seeing your video postcards. 😊
Freddie, a philosophical question! You may never want to sell your Bonneville but would you upgrade?? You may be inspired in Thailand where they are now made……..
I think there is a problem with visa between India and UK for everyone and you can't do it online. You have to do it in person or use an in person service.
I've got the barbour jacket I've even got the tin of barbour wax to keep the jacket looking good and I've got a similar jacket to what your wear now same colour same lining but mines is corduroy I think I've got a clothes addiction look good feel good 🙂👍🏾
Hi Freddie I know you love your coffee but have you tried The Blitz 1940s Tea Room in ST Peters street? It is quite an experience, if you do or have been there let us know what you think. 🙂
Nice video, Freddie. You on your Bonny reminds me of me on my Guzzi v7. I luv my ride but at 6’ tall I often feel like a bear riding a circus bike. Does your Bonny not feel a bit similar or have you mod’d it (seat/pegs) for a wee better fit?

Interesting the visa issue. I’m late commenting because I’ve just got home from India. Many hotels are empty because of visa issues many Indians appear angry with their Government for the ongoing visa problems. If you get a chance do go .
Hi Freddie were you applying for Indian tourist visa ? I applied this week 10 mins to fill in online form granted in 24hrs, you used official IHC site I presume?
I like the idea of a good lock but if it's angle grinder proof what happens when the lock jams or you mislay the keys 😲, also got to be a full face helmet or may aswell keep the helmet lock.

In Bali stay off the beaten track. Out of the city. Amazing
Amazing people.
Thanks Miles, I’ll remember this!
Great video as always, looking forward to the travels, that'll make for some amazing videos!
Sundays.
Treated to a slap up breakfast at our local distillery.
Walk on the beach.
Home to a new F&M video.
Niiiice.
(Some would say the Indian visa fracas was the cosmos helping you...)
That sounds like a fantastic Sunday!
And you may be right, Duncan🙂🪐
@@FreddieDobbs Sri Lanka much much better 👍
Morning Freddie brilliant vlog as always
Thanks🙌🏻🙌🏻
Litelok very Good Quality security. Products👍
What use is a Helmet to anyone once they have.
Cut. The Strap off?
This was my thinking- I was shocked at how many people in England got in touch to say their helmets had had their straps cut off and helmets stolen!😳
Alright! Triumph reaches out to you folks, well deserved!
Okay, let me continue on with this video. 😀
Hi Freddie another enjoyable video mate I only past my test in November aged 60 first bike a new triumph speedmaster I love it keep up the good work 👍
Another great video. Thank you
Enjoy the trip, guys. I can't wait to see it ( I love that you possess an Irish passport, Freddie, but then l am biased..!)
Thanks John! I’m extremely grateful to have one🇮🇪🙂
freddie...... you must visit india. it's your destiny. it's everyones. you must visit INDIA. A video on India by you is all the world needs. you must come freddie!!!!!
Getting my India work visa took almost three months 🙄🙄 but that was before they were available online. But I also did here that the online visa site can be finicky with certain browsers., like Chrome 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ looking forward to watching your journey 👍👍👍👍 be safe 😊
Interesting- I didn’t think of trying a different browser. Thank you Colin🙌🏻
Thanks for this Colin, I’ll check this video out🙂👌🏻
You had me and the mrs waiting for the big reviele...... to see Monicas new hair do !! ... Good click bate 😂 👍great video as always.
Apologies to disappoint John!😆💇🏻♀️
Paused, 6:50.
I'm to old to wanna 'mimic' anyone, didn't really do that when I was young, though. But, when I was younger, got my 69 Bonneville (back in mid '80's), I 'felt' like I was Marlon Brando (The Wild One) or James Dean.
Currently, Freddie's nailed the cool guy on a bike image!
Expecting soon to see him in an advert as a model rider, or clothing or..? Lol.
Ron, Yosemite
I bet you have some incredible memories riding your ‘69 Bonneville, Ron!
Thank you🙂🙌🏻
Freddie
Have you ever thought of exhaust wrapping for the Bonneville down pipes , any thoughts on them ? ,I was thinking of getting them
Nice work Freddie, much appreciate & enjoy your videos, great motorcycles and good music, I’ve been motorcycling since 1965, first on a Honda 250 scrambler, then I moved up to a Triumph 650 TR6 C ‘Desert Sled’ big bike for those days and one of my all time favorites, then Spanish made Bultaco Pursang, more Hondas- with the finally one being a 1979? CBX 1000 6 cylinder straight across, 6 carbs, 6 exhaust pipes 24 valves, loved that bike, then on to BMW’s. Being older now I’m feeling the need to reduce weight and size, seriously considering a Triumph, so I treasure all your reviews and perspective, your leading me into a Bonneville T120, any suggestions on a particular year for an older gent ?
Cool Freddie
Try Srilanka. Is a fantastic country.
Has magnificent wild life, lovely deserted tropical beaches and the most friendly people .
Freddie your Sunday videos have became part of my weekend routine +coffee and couch! Keep up the great work…out of interest what’s the mileage on the Bonnie these days?
Thanks Nick! It’s not too crazy; 38k miles🙂
Given all your trips that’s not too shabby, plenty of life left!
Hi. Enjoying your vids. (Had street twin now buying Tiger 900 for touring. ) Just came across channel called Jake rides away. He's got your stuff, and bike! Thought it was you at first. Got to do America!
Thanks Jerry!
I haven’t come across Jake Rides but I’ll check it out now🙂👌🏻
I'm sure you know that they make padded motorcycle jackets that are perforated for warmer temps. Looking forward to your Asian travels.
Thanks very much!
Hi Freddie hope all good
The trip sounds immense. How do you fund such a long stay away??
I can’t wait, Glyn!🙂 A couple of rental properties and client collaborations. In essence, nothing changes- whether her in the UK or Dubai
@Freddie Dobbs I congratulate you Freddie, that's a great set up you have there! 👍
Enjoy the travels both, and I look forward to seeing your video postcards. 😊
Good morning all. Will you be using the same helmet or using another for the new lock ?
I’ll just use the same helmets, although my open face helmet can’t be locked (no d-strap) unfortunately
Freddie, a philosophical question! You may never want to sell your Bonneville but would you upgrade?? You may be inspired in Thailand where they are now made……..
Hmmmm, I haven’t felt the need to upgrade, although I do change my mind quite often!😆
It is strange that getting visa to India in UK is so tricky😪 Good luck for you both!
Ahhhh I know- it’s so frustrating!
I think there is a problem with visa between India and UK for everyone and you can't do it online. You have to do it in person or use an in person service.
Ahhhh thanks Harry!
I've got the barbour jacket I've even got the tin of barbour wax to keep the jacket looking good and I've got a similar jacket to what your wear now same colour same lining but mines is corduroy I think I've got a clothes addiction look good feel good 🙂👍🏾
Fantastic- the Barbour gear’s so timeless. I love stuff that feels like it’ll never go out of style and can last a lifetime🙂👌🏻👌🏻
@@FreddieDobbs that's so true 👍🏾
Hi Freddie I know you love your coffee but have you tried The Blitz 1940s Tea Room in ST Peters street? It is quite an experience, if you do or have been there let us know what you think. 🙂
I’ve walked past it so many times but have never been in. I will 100% visit when I get back
Nice video, Freddie. You on your Bonny reminds me of me on my Guzzi v7. I luv my ride but at 6’ tall I often feel like a bear riding a circus bike. Does your Bonny not feel a bit similar or have you mod’d it (seat/pegs) for a wee better fit?
I haven’t modded it, but my touring seat (in this video) is very chunky (both wide and cushioned) and helps a lot👌🏻
Try to get your hands on Jawa bikes if you come to India, specially in the bobber segment.
Hey Fred love your videos ❤ also as you probably know royal enfield launched the meteor 650 and I'm eagerly waiting for your take on that bike 🤞🏻
Hi Bishal, I cannot wait to try the Super Meteor!
@@FreddieDobbs Hello Freddie, what do you think about the Honda Rebel 500 and the new Scrambler Honda CL 500? many greetings
Why not come to Australia? Some amazing riding here.
We’ve considered it, it’s still at the back of our mind for one more flight over🙂🇦🇺
Hey Freddie - youre always good for a Sunday morning coffee & croissant, but where did you get the Cuban shirt ?
Thanks Paul. The shirt’s from Universal Works. I bought it from Uniform Research, which is my favourite shop (they have a website and an Ipswich store). They always have incredible stuff!🙂
Great video Freddie, love that open face helmet. What make is it?
Probably Daytona
Spot on; the Daytona Cruiser helmet. It’s an American brand and eBay’s a great place to find them (about £110)
Just love your videos sir Great job Paal in Norway
Thanks Paal🤜🏼🤛🏼
@@FreddieDobbs Been following you on your tenerife trip as well Back from tenerife on monday and love the island We followed your guided tours by car Your next job should be Top Gear 😄😎 Take care
Travel shirts?
Look to the golf World.
Polo shirts made with wicking material keep you cool, toll up really small and can be hand washed.
Never saw Sam Torrence looking scruffy, did you?
Discount sport shops.
Safe, happy travels 👍
I will remember this and will hunt these out when I get there!
Ok 👍👌 Freddie
Interesting the visa issue. I’m late commenting because I’ve just got home from India. Many hotels are empty because of visa issues many Indians appear angry with their Government for the ongoing visa problems. If you get a chance do go .
Is there still an outdoor market in Ipswich? Used to come there to buy jeans when I was at university in Colchester.
Hmmmmmm, it’s probably not what you remember. There are now just three stalls or so (fruit and veg).
7:24 what jeans you wearing today Freddie?
These are the Tobacco Motorwear Indigo Selvedge. Made in California and really stunning quality denim. Size one inch up on the waist though🙂👌🏻
I remember having problems with my Indian visa, in the end I managed to get it to work by using 3g/4g rather than WiFi on my phone?
Oh wow- I will try this today! Thank you Andy🙌🏻🙌🏻
Have you already passed through singapore? If you're yet to come, it'd be fabulous to meet up for a cup of coffee.
Not yet- we head off to Dubai on Wednesday and Singapore in about 10 days!🙂
Hi Freddie were you applying for Indian tourist visa ? I applied this week 10 mins to fill in online form granted in 24hrs, you used official IHC site I presume?
Interesting, I went here:
indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html
That’s the site, I’ve done 2 applications this week both granted in 24 hrs, no issues.
I like the idea of a good lock but if it's angle grinder proof what happens when the lock jams or you mislay the keys 😲, also got to be a full face helmet or may aswell keep the helmet lock.
This is a good point. If I lose my keys, I genuinely don’t know what I’d do!😳
