The place he lives at used to be a place where kids went for summer camp. It was called camp singing water. Beautiful place. He does a lot of really nice things for our community.

Short bed 302 3-speed floor. And never damaged the truck because of a jump. Now a wreck a whole different ballpark. But the couple of accidents I had in this truck never did no damage. Ran like it had a four-barrel and all I had was a two barrel.

It was weird to see the passenger side airbag go off when he lands after that long jump.....but I'm really happy to see they are making Crown Victoria/General Lee cars nowadays that can handle alot of abuse an get used several times over. 👌

John Schneider's real deal he did a lot of his own driving in the Dukes of Hazzard series and so cool you would come out and do this kind of stunt with this vehicle.. I know he owns a custom 69 Dodge Charger "General Lee" himself.
My cousin, owned a perfect, knock-off, Dukes General Lee, ‘69 Charger, back when the show was hot! The car appeared new inside and out. I was in middle school, at the time, and envious as all get out! I never got the full story on where the car came from. Sadly, he wrecked it during a snowstorm!
That's not a 69 Dodge Charger it's a 94 Ford Crown Victoria running gear basically CROWN VICTORIA FRAME FORD MOTOR AND Transmission WITH 69 DODGE Charger body Pannel believe it or not look at the steering wheel it's a CROWN VICTORIA STEERING WHEEL.
It would've fun to see an actual Charger do the jump, but at the same time, I think enough of those have already been destroyed, lol! We don't need to lose anymore of em!
With all the mud, the Charger would have suffered body damage but would have definitely been salvageable. No way the frame would have been bent with that soft of a landing due to the mud. Still plenty of Chargers out there and they’re not being lost due to Dukes jumps they’re being lost cause they’ve been sitting and rotting.
Me thinks there is a definite market for charger replicas on modern running gear. No doubt they are the best looking car ever built - mated to modern Charger running gear and a 6.1 hemi.....happy days !!

Loved the show but even as a kid I knew that almost every time they did a car jump another classic was a write off. I know that they used various cars and not just Chargers and Challengers for the jumps. Watching the show once i saw what looked like a Capri (though I am not 100% certain) being used as a jump car.
so cool. i just got to sit in a real general lee at cooters garage in nashville. the car i am in did a big jump over a few cars in 2012 at a dukes festival. i just uploaded a video of that general lee car and cooters garage. so fun.
I love that they converted a Ford Taurus into a general Lee. By using carbon fiber body parts aftermarket it's just a brilliant idea. We are losing general Lee's everytime they jump them and it took one guy to figure out how to make the car without destroying real cars priceless!
@@Zahgurym They smashed hundreds in filming. There aren't many left after Warner Bros got done with the show! They couldn't get there hands on one, I'm sure. As soon as a potential seller found out why they wanted it, they most likely refused to sell them. I don't blame them!
This one was specially built for jumping at Cooters Last Stand a couple years ago. Yes it is a crown vic with charger body panels that can be quickly switched out if damaged.
