Wasn't a true Charger. It's a Crown Victoria with a Charger body panels on it. Most the body panels are new, look at the dash through the windshield, sits to high up that's because it's a pad over the Crown Victoria dash to simulate a Charger dash, also I'm not sure if you can see it clearly in this video but the A pillars is literally part of the roll cage tubing painted with the body color

@Squirmin Herman the one eyed German I've personally witnessed a Vic T-bone a charger and the Vic could still be driven off. Not so much for the charger. As the saying goes, your mileage may vary. Every machine has it's good and bad points. I don't favor one make over another. If it has wheels and an engine I can have a blast with it and that's good enough for me.

John Loved it. When I was little the show ran from when i was 3 until 9 years old. I used to climb in the cars with windows down. Would not get up for a commercial break no dvr back then. Thanks for fighting and going against the grain of hollywood. Way to keep things family friendly, wholesome and still a lot of fun! I remember when I was like 9 my dad took us to a car show and a general lee was there. I was crying and upset because i thought it was stolen lol. Have a great week check our channel out too. Back in the day they would crush world records jumping these cars, then go back to work the next day like nothing even happened. I remember when I was a young boy my dad was talking to us about the show and telling us that they weren't really jumping cars, it was just TV magic. But me and my friends knew better, we knew the jumps were real. But we also knew that the cars had to be pretty messed up when they landed so we weren't sure about how to explain that part...we didn't/couldn't figure that there were dozens and eventually hundreds of Generals out there. Anyway what an awesome show. A classic I bet people will still love 200-300 years from now. Watching old episodes as an adult, I fully appreciate the brilliant physical comedy of the Rosco and Boss Hogg characters. Underrated actors where I think the goofiness of their characters hid their great talent.
Loved this show! Loved this car! Short(?) story: Graduated high school in 82 here in So. Florida and after that decided to take an auto mechanics class at night. Well, the first two weeks were in the classroom and very educational. After that the instructor announced that we were moving to the garage. I thought cool! Hands on finally! We got out there and he came up to me and asked “son, where’s your car? Ya need a car to work on”. Crap. Two days later I’m driving down the roads in my moms car and pass ...a 69 charger. Sign read “for sale. $700”. Holy crap. Ended up dropping a 440 magnum in it, new granny and rear end. I was in love.

I wasn't born until way after Dukes of Hazzard premiered, but before television became overly political and the world became too soft, I refused to move from in front of my T.V. when CMT ran 6 hour D.O.H. marathons! I'm so glad he got to relive such an impactful time of his life and recreate an iconic memory for us to reminisce on. Long live the Dukes of Hazzard and the General Lee!

I have to say this. Out of all the actors that I would like to meet, it's John hands down. He has definitely has led a full life. He's lived with the Man in Black, Johnny Cash and I think Johnny Cash was still married to Mrs June Carter at the time. I was joking around with my wife and said, I should go and knock on his door and ask for an autograph or something. He used to live in my neighborhood Americana in Zachary LA. My wife says to me that would be the first time she'd ever seen me excited. Then I had to tell her no I wouldn't do that to him nor anyone else. Had I have been the jump coordinator, I would have a 900 pound load in the trunk and stabilized it, in order to counteract the heavy front end, resulting in a more smooth and balanced landing.. Of course you would have to increase the speed by lengthening the approach and beef up the ramps to insure they would support the extra weight and force applied to them at the higher speed.. I always wanted to be a stunt driver, but marriage, kids and Uncle Sam kept me on the ground..
Got to love that car. It sucks that I never get to drive it I just have to stay in your dream. But it is always cool to see it flying through the air General Lee that is Bo Duke / John Schneider you're freaking awesome and amazing man always will and always has been the Dukes of Hazzard fan and I will be till the day I die

I have to say this. Out of all the actors that I would like to meet, it's John hands down. He has definitely has led a full life. He's lived with the Man in Black, Johnny Cash and I think Johnny Cash was still married to Mrs June Carter at the time.
I was joking around with my wife and said, I should go and knock on his door and ask for an autograph or something. He used to live in my neighborhood Americana in Zachary LA. My wife says to me that would be the first time she'd ever seen me excited. Then I had to tell her no I wouldn't do that to him nor anyone else. Even though I'd love to meet him, I'm pretty sure that he would love to have it quite and think that people don't know where he lives.

I think the General Lee is the most iconic car ever , The only ones coming close would be KITT , The truck in the fall guy and Burt Reynolds TA in smokey and the bandit . I think I am starting to get old lol

Had I have been the jump coordinator, I would have a 900 pound load in the trunk and stabilized it, in order to counteract the heavy front end, resulting in a more smooth and balanced landing.. Of course you would have to increase the speed by lengthening the approach and beef up the ramps to insure they would support the extra weight and force applied to them at the higher speed.. I always wanted to be a stunt driver, but marriage, kids and Uncle Sam kept me on the ground..
