I just finished grilling pork chops on my Weber 14" Smokey Joe from 1993. Still has the wooden handle. The old girl is still in great shape! These are the best grills ever made in my opinion. Love your video! I also have the Weber 22" kettle for when the grandchildren come over. It has the wooden handle also. I love Weber grills.
Cooked a burger today on a smokey joe that had been resting in my attic for decades. It was my first weber, purchased some 40 years ago. Still cooked like a champ after all that time. Really enjoyed your video Tom!
I think I could spend 4 hrs looking at your collection. 🍻 Love the big green machine, 3 dollars no hollers, tiny tiny ones, Dr. Pepper, Miller lite, orange restriction! Pretty Sweet collection Tom!
Great memories seeing these! My Smokey Joe was mid-eighties as I recall, and I loved it. The lid's handle had a groove in it so that it could be clamped to the base by a curved steel rod. No loose lid when traveling! Unfortunately that grill accidentally tumbled off the back of a boat and to the bottom of a lake....😢
My first grill was a 1988 Small Big Green Egg. I was 18 when I bought it from Ed Fisher. I used it almost every day until around 2001 when we were have some construction done on our house and one of the construction workers accidentally threw it in a dumpster and it smashed. My next was a large BGE I bought in 2005. I went to work for BGE shortly after that and the collection grew from there. At the largest I think it was 4 XL BGEs, 2 Larges a small, a mini and a chiminea. I got wrongly fired from BGE in 2011 from the new management so I sold my Eggs off slowly until the last one went away in 2020. Shortly after that I happily bought my first Weber and will never look back. I am currently kicking myself right now because I passed a Weber gas grill on the side of the road on my way to lunch the other day and by the time I got back home it was gone.

What is the difference between the Weber 14 in. Smokey Joe Premium and the Weber 14 in. Smokey Joe apart from the handle that the premium one has.
