    Nice video mate, so helpful even though it was a few years ago.
    What size hook do you use for the livies? Is it a circle hook or specialist livie hook?
    And can you do a video on the exact way to hook them?
    Cheers for all your vids, super helpful.
    Tight lines.

    Sometimes you just have to leave the drag alone and play them out . So I have heard..

      Let's start working on your video's sound while where on the subject. I have heard the wind can be a pain in the microphone..

    • @AdventurewithKZ
      @AdventurewithKZ  8 років тому +1

      Lol at this stage i do this to simply help people bud and its all filmed off a phone. Feel free to purchase a propper mic and send through bud lol

    • @larrytischler8769
      @larrytischler8769 7 років тому

      We did that. You get a lot more wind noise. A mic can not override background music or wind noise. Speak up if you have something to say.

    Hey fishing bro, awesome video. Was that a burn off from the livie not being at the bead? I guess it might have been at the bead because your strike seemed pretty solid. Were you bitten off? or just under gunned.

      hey bud, in this case i was taken to structure as soon as i felt the rubbing you notice me try to back off the drag but was too late. have heard of rubbing causing to though but perline is a rugged mono so haven't had that happen to me yet.

    could you use a swivel instead of that slide bait rig? only thing is the bait fish can swim reverse but is there any reason why you wouldn't want it to swim backwards on the line?

    • @AdventurewithKZ
      @AdventurewithKZ  8 років тому

      +Jose RatahI Hey bud, I find for strength and knowing that the livie will be set to the targeted area these non-return slides are awesome. the other thing is as you say the live bait can't swim back to you and hid away and or get snagged up in the rock or weed. but swivels are definitely an option if you really need to use something.

    In your fishing opinion do you think New Zealander's should have to have a fishing license. like the trout fisherman have to, and a card to mark there fishing taken each year ??

    • @toranarama1
      @toranarama1 8 років тому +1

      no. people should be free to gather their food from the sea

    is 20lb mono mainline ok to use with these rigs and can you use on braid?

    • @AdventurewithKZ
      @AdventurewithKZ  8 років тому

      +Jose RatahI ye bud, if off the rocks it is a risk but from sand I use 20lb no worries. You can use braid but not my first option. it will add to the tangles if not tight and the rubbing along the braid isn't ideal.

    • @joseratahi631
      @joseratahi631 8 років тому +1

      +Outdoor adventures with KZ what do you prefer to use off the rocks braid or heavier nylon? I'm heading up the coast to matakaoa point for the weekend.

    • @AdventurewithKZ
      @AdventurewithKZ  8 років тому

      hey bud, I have sets with both and light nylon too. all depends on the fish I'm targetting and the method I am fishing. for slidebaiting nylon all the way personally

    • @joseratahi631
      @joseratahi631 8 років тому +1

      +Outdoor adventures with KZ do you use it on a bait runner or set the drag loose then tighten and strike?

    • @AdventurewithKZ
      @AdventurewithKZ  8 років тому

      Hey bud yep if bait fishing off the rock baitrunner my preference. But when straylining i leave bail arm open and let the fish take line once i feel its got the hook in its mouth i lock the bail back over and begin fighting
