- The Story of The Roamers || The Division 2
In the aftermath of the dollar flu, vital supplies being delivered across the US were severely hampered.
But truckies of the old America would band together, for the greater good of the rising settlements across the country.
However, with these factions of hero Freighties… there would also be a growing fleet that have realised the power of their situation… and have decided instead, to use it to their advantage…

Don't be imagining my cringes! You did great!
people should still buy muh book tho 😁
Hahaha 😂 Thanks mate!
Man, i gotta say. I'm dying to read your next piece. Your writing made my night shifts memorable and now im on my third read. Love it. Please keep up the amazing work!!!!
@@aquaplays3620 thank you so much!
@@thomasparrott3575 i don't trust ubi, i hope they give you the rights for at least 5 more, i can't have enough of the lore💀
@@aquaplays3620 five is a lot! 😂 but the team at Massive has been awesome, and I can tell you they have big plans for the story one way or another!
Massive respect for not wanting to spoil the books and hurt the authors as well. I didn't even think of that.
I stopped playing the division years ago (tho I went back briefly to get the platinum trophies for D1 and D2 earlier this year), but I still love the lore. I just finished listening to the Audible audiobook The Division: Recruited, which features Roamers, Freighties, and Outcasts. Pretty cool story and I'm interested in how the game lore links to the book. I'm glad you're still making these videos.
Honestly, it's so interesting. That there still is a society out in the world in the Division. To think that there some towns and cities that are still functioning as if the dollar flu never happened.
@@WeazelGamingHI yeah and [spoilers] this book specifically talks about how the east coast urban survival has become so dangerous with factions fighting over what little food is left after society fell. The DC Division cell decides to see if they can set up supply routes from middle America (where presumably the farms are up and running) to the cities. This book also shows how The Division ISAC/SHD Tech network functions out of 3 decentralized server sites. I don't think the game ever talked about where the SHD Tech network locations were before. If I remember correctly they are set up out of Arkansas, Minnesota and Texas tho I may have 1 or 2 of them wrong lol.
@@WeazelGamingHI. To be fair, that's a somewhat plausible scenario; There's probably millions of people who don't even know what happened outside of their local area after the initial outbreak.
Thank you for not spoiling the books, the taste you gave us is just enough to get me excited for reading the books. Def interested to see what year 5 has in store for us going forward, lots of hints in this manhunt I believe. Thank you again for all you do for the community! Keep rocking.
Man, you always do a terrific job at weaving together parts of a story to describe a larger world to help us expand our understanding. Thank you for avoiding spoilers as I'm about to buy Recruited and the upcoming Compromised as Xmas gifts to me. Cheers
Honored to say I'm a diehard fan of the division books, they are the best source for lore. Loving operation crossroads. Can't wait for the next one next year
You are on fire, my man. Thank you
I gotta say no game has hit as hard as the Div1 did for me, I like div2 a lot but nothing will ever hit like the first time going from lvl 1 to 30 in the division. With that said, in this space no one's video's hit like yours do. Your content is ALWAYS clean, respectful and informative, your presentation is amazing and I have never failed to learn a lot from your videos so I just wanted to say thank you for all of your hard work. Your videos are an inspiration. 🤙
Thank you for the kind words my friend. It's my own personal challenge to have these videos become a sort of unofficial companion content alongside the games. Over time I'm learning new skills in this space, and hopefully will meet my own expectations in time 😆
What if the complications the roamers came across that Lucky told Natalia about this season was that battle with the division agents and freighties?
Well damn, didn't know I had to wait till 2:30 in the morning to catch your vids early
best lore channel and thats on god!!!!!!!
Thank you for yet another amazing lore video. Keep up the awesome work!!
Professional and Awesome as always
I love the way you give this universe life.
Thank you so much 😀
As always, another amazing video my friend!!!! 😁😁😁😁😁
Oh my god damn, I finally found you again.
I listened to everything you got, but then lost my account and forgot, glad to be back Agent.😭
Welcome back agent!! 😊
The Roamers need to make an appearance in game
i love the way u make these so emersive
excellent work buddy🙂
Ever notice that in any disastrous circumstances or post apocalyptic event, it always seems that humanity (most of them at least) bring out the absolute worst of themselves, particularly in comparison to how they were prior to a society collapse?🤔 Sad really...but unfortunately I see this potential in real life if it ever goes this way. 😑
That actually happened during hurricane Katrina
It is the concept without the law and expectations of Society mentally keeping us the way we are now, we let out our true selves that we keep hidden behind a mask that we put on to fit into Society. That is how most people survive living in Society, putting on a mask so they can fit into the society they live in. There are many aspect a person will not show about their true selves just to avoid being considered a outcast for not fitting into social norms or to give off a false image of themselves within society to others.
The audio logs show this a lot when looking into the personality of the characters from before the outbreak to where they are now. We see a lot of their personality from after outbreak suppressed in some way before the outbreak or they are intentionally hiding this darker side of themelves before the outbreak just to survive in society.
@@jamariobrown-tolliver8163 Sad truth...😒
@@orrthehunter There's no doubt about that. It just always interesting, and frightening how many of us, would go to those lengths if ever put into a situation where the structure of society is no longer there, and the freedom (and survivability) for many kicks in. Guess this should be a lesson for those of us living in peaceful times like now....don't put down those that could turn on you in a heartbeat if things go south. And don't grow too complacent yourself...if a global catastrophe or war breaks out, all the aspects of current society changing or collapsing, combined with how some human survival instincts kick in, I can see many in cushy lifestyles getting preyed upon...big time. Scary indeed.
thats pretty cool man there may be more to this story then we think
Thnaks to you i need to get all the books now, damn you! but beside the damn you, i love your content!
Currently buying the book 🤞🏽
The roamers sound kinda like neegan from the walking dead
You know what The Division game should have.... Marksman Archers....Think about... When needed some mid to somewhat long range and need to be Quiet... they should have some Bowmen or Bow women. To be able to have different types of Bows to get the job done.
Is this talking about the rogue agents We encounter in the open world?
Next paperback release is feb 2023
Edit on Amazon UK
Wife and I just finished both recruited and compromised and it was great. Ending of compromised was hell of a twist
Cheers!
Honesty for the Division survival based game seeing these trucks as roaming bosses would be sick.
Honestly kinda sounds like something I'd see irl if this was real
I live near a lot of roads in suburban kinda McDonald's sign area
I've always wondered what the rest of the US would look like in The Division universe
Another fantastic lore video! 👍
GOD I LOVE THESE!
Maybe they are the first enemies from the start of the game like the VERY beginning of the game
@@devinthierault I thought so because when they played WLONY I thought they looked similar from the beginning
Pc is ridiculously fast crazy
The 3rd book covers the med kits agents use too
Also a radiological threat
And SHD bunkers that i hope makes its way into heartlands (raid or world event type)
Are the Roamers the ones that look like "ninja" (for lack of a better word) that are archers or use axes and shields you come across. If not which faction are they?
Those are called Ambushers in game.
Along with the big backpack dude, called Looy Goblin's.
The ones that fire semi auto FALs with poison gas are the Underground. With their famous chainsaw Tank dude.
Love your videos. Anyway I wanted to ask you if you ever play Division with your fans ?
Its not that I DON'T play with fans, I just have a very tricky timezone to work with. You'll have noticed in my videos that I'm generally solo 99% of the time.
@@NGN I noticed
Any new intel on "Heartland"
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
WITNESS MEEEEEE!!!!
sorry i could not resist
Does anyone know if Recruited and the other books are considered canon by Ubisoft?
100% canon. We are seeing starting to see some crossover between the books and the game story.
@@NGN Thx! Good to know. As a "story" person, I often wonder if the game devs (assuming they will be allowed to keep making new content) will address the meta-story's progress: namely the Division's top level mission to ensure the continuity of the government and survival of the country as a whole. Seems like the game addresses "local" issues in DC or NY, but we don't know much about what is happening across the rest of the country. If these books are canon, it is good to get the broader picture they present.
I know Rogue agents can use SHD tech but do they still have access to Issac?
No, a different AI named ANNA
Well... yes and no.
Technically they are locked off from ISAC when they go rogue.
But thanks to Theo and Keener, there is ANNA, which is sort of a work-around version of ISAC, that grants the use of everything ISAC provides, but on a separate network
What an interesting faction
Would the new true sons be called the new tusks instead and have new black tusk gear with their colour scheme in the next season now that they are working for black tusk
If anything they would be the Red Tusks since they love the ol Red White and Blue.
Edit:
LMB are White Tusks
Specialist Unit is Blue Tusks
@@gaz-75w89 I thought the same thing I’m assuming they would be getting an upgrade because it would be lame if they kept the same way they are …
Where can I buy these books
Adding my comment so that the almighty algorithm picks this up.
Bro could we get a mad max style fight between war trucks?
Doubt it, though that would be pretty cool to see, especially considering the different environmental and societal circumstances in the universe of The Division compared to Mad Max.
soooo… what’s the build from this vid?? 😅
Here you go 🙂

@@NGN Thank you!
Hey you should watch Alexa the division audio files
I wish they would add damage to Elites back in and have talents on different pieces.. and or make use of clothing. have certain clothing like boots and head gear add perks even if they are tiny ones much like survival where better cloths add to more survivability. But it's not a survival game it's a rpg cover shooter with no tactics or sneaking unlike ghost recon. it really make no sense not realistic.
Never heard of this group.
They’re currently not seen within the game itself, with the only ingame reference being one of Lucky’s audio logs from this season’s manhunt
Currently their presence is entirely within the new book
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Buy the trilogy, they are all great books.
Where did you get this info from? Never heard of this in game. Fan fiction trash?
LOL I don't fan fiction.
This faction is mentioned in one of the recent manhunt targets. This is also from one of the companion novels. The Division: Recruited.
You'll be seeing more crossovers over time.
What build are you using in the background video because you are just massacring everything
Here you go 🙂

I see Ubisoft is still keeping up with their gender politics. Always a female rogue agent who takes over a faction or is able to beat down the Division.
Nice lying to yourself, clown; I see you're reaching here.
Goddamn whats that build? Love a good Famas build.
